Hallo.

Good day. You can check the wheel circumference in the Flow App. This step is not necessary for all types of bikes, it is recommended for preventive reasons. If you do not have a display, it is not possible to verify whether the tuning is currently active or inactive. If the LED flashes orange as an error, we can recommend trying to slightly change the position of the Rim Magnet Simulator. If the problem persists, we recommend replacing or returning the chip.

Hello. You can theoretically set the speed to unlimited. However, we recommend not exceeding 35 km/h to reduce the risk of tuning detection. Therefore, we default to a 35 km/h limit from the factory. The actual speed can be seen in the SpeedBox App. The display shows a slightly lower speed. For example, 18 km/h on the display means 25 km/h in reality. 25 km/h on the display means 35 km/h in reality, and so on.

Hello, what is technically the difference between the Rim Magnet and the normal Magnet? They have the same function and get one signal per turn if the magnet is passing, right? I am engineer and would like to understand why you need to use different speedboxes for this.
Hello. In simple terms, a speed sensor with a common magnet works in such a way that each rotation of the rear wheel is captured by the sensor as one pulse. The number of pulses in time and the diameter of the wheel gives the speed, ODO etc. The magnet on the rim is wireless and uses the electromagnetic field from the electric motor. The advantage of the rim magnet is the ability to read riding data directly from the electric motor (more precise data). And it also makes installing the tuning more complicated 🙂
@@SpeedBoxTuning Thanks for answering. And what is the difficulty to show the real speed with the rim version like 23,5 for 35 km/h? What I understand is that you simulate the movement of the rim magnet with an electric coil, the motor is reading the movement of the magnetic field directly without additional sensor like the speed sensor.
Hello. No, the max speed is unlimited. The default max speed is 35 km/h, you can change it in settings. We recommend this speed to avoid risk of errors 🙂🤝
@@e-mike9776 Hello. Right now, we would recommend to uninstall the chip and pedal on the e-bike for about 90 minutes. (You don't have to ride the whole 90 minutes at once, the ride can be intermittent). Once the error is gone, you should make a few more calm rides without the chip (to get some new and clear data in the e-bike), only after that you should install the chip again. Do not ride only in Turbo mode during those calm rides, better to engage Tour, Eco, etc.
Hello. When did the error appear? While driving or during installation? If error 503 appeared, it means a weak magnetic field. Hi.
We are sorry to hear that you have had tuning detection. With the SpeedBox for Bosch, we recommend following some recommendations to eliminate the risk of tuning detection (524001). All manufacturers have these recommendations. You can find them, for example, with individual products on our website www.speedbox-tuning.com/for-bosch. In case of questions, we recommend contacting our support on these pages or via Messenger or Instagram.

Hello.
Starting from May 2024, we supply products compatible with the latest software version 11.3.0. The products should be also compatible with Flow App 1.21.3.
Hello. I try to install the speedbox on my canyon strive on cfr. It has no display only a central battery indicator and a small wireless controller on my steer. In the bosh app you can see the speed to place the rim magnet simulator correct. That worked fine. Then if you want to ride the speedbox is on when you start the bike en i can ride 30 kmh+- but after 300m the led on the battery status flashes Orange, But no errors when you restart the bike (without rim magnet) it works again for another 300m. How do you check the weel circum whitout a display or can you skip this step? How to check of your chip is enabled or disabled (2.5KMH and 3.5KMH on display) with only a battery andicator?(you cant use the app for this right?) Anyone advice on that orange led on the battery indicator? Thanks in advance
Did you get it work with that spoke magnet? Mine doesn't show any speed with that, no matter where simulator is located.
With original rim magnet and simulator speed is displayed but i can't set that tuning ON. Should that activation been seen via Flow app?
R u working on a new one?
When u say set the limit to 35kmh is that the official 35km
Or the 35km on the the app? So ur really doing 45km. Video says the speed will show lower on the the screen
25 km/h on the display means 35 km/h in reality, and so on.
tried today, I've moved the unit in every position and the only one I get any movement on the speed I get a error with Error 523003
U Fonds the Problem?
I just updated my bike, will this still work?
Hi.
SpeedBox for Bosch Smart System products manufactured in April 2024 and later are compatible with the latest update. In theory, there should be no older models on the market now. If you have updated software with the serial number 13.x.x, it may happen that the activation using the Walk feature will not work now. It will be necessary to activate/deactivate the tuning using the combination of buttons - + - + or + - + -.
And so what's the top speed you csn actually get the bikes up to once Installed?
@@andysims8823 Hi.
We have experience with e-bikes with a Bosch motor at speeds above 50 km/h (for a short time), the sustainable speed on a flat surface is around 40 km/h. However, for engines with the Smart system, we recommend not to exceed an average cruising speed of 35 km/h to prevent the risk of tuning detection.

Hello.
Can you please describe a little more how the SpeedBox (doesn't) work in your e-bike?

The signal from the rim simulator keeps getting lost every time because I have to take it outside my frame is not like in your video. Even when it does work, the error occurs again when I push human power into the pedals. I spent 7 hours trying yesterday, and today, I'm giving it another shot. I think I might have found the solution by fixing the speed sensor and securing the simulator strong in place. Hopefully, it will work better now.
@@BenjiBenji989 With e-bikes with a rim magnet, you have to patiently search for the signal of the magnet simulator. We recommend having the transmission set somewhere in the middle range. When testing the speed sensor signal, do not turn the rear wheel by hand, but turn the crank by hand. This should help in finding the signal.

Hi, I received the speedbox 1.2 tuning version. The only strange thing is that when I accelerate hard, the speed exceeds 25 km per hour on the "flow app" counter and therefore the engine stops for a second. Then, still on the flow up application, the speed automatically drops below 25 km per hour and the engine comes back into action. The problem with this is that when I accelerate up to 35 km per hour, there is always a moment where I have the engine cut out for a second or two. Do you think this is normal?
@@olivoliv7769 Hello.
Yes, it is possible. Based on our experience, we recommend this: do not use the Flow App while riding. If you are already using it, please turn off automatic updates and positioning (so that your speed is not detectable through GPS) and do not make changes to the settings in the Flow App (do not modify the speed limit, torque and riding modes).

Bosch.
Ebike.
@@philipp6440 You are welcome 😊This is a different problem. The Bosch Smart System uses secure communication that we cannot "hack".
