      Depth... Its all about depth

    • @MatsMatsuo
      @MatsMatsuo 3 года назад +16

      It doesn't mean "it doesn't understand the position", it thinks blacks has Full compensation or found a forced perpetual check line, engines are not programmed to give "i don't understand it" analysis, especially SF, a "brute force calculator" engine.
      Only thing is that in those positions there are many crazy moves that could be discarded by the algorithm and it was eventually a very good move with deep analysis.

    • @thec7889
      @thec7889 3 года назад +2

      it understands the position more than any of us could ever dream of doing, and it sees a prepetual check in a line and whoever tries to avoid the prepetual would be worse so the prepetual is considerd best play by both sides. occationaly it could allso mean a trade down to a tablebase drawn position if it has tabelbases enabled.

    • @Cephalon_Nodens
      @Cephalon_Nodens 2 года назад

      @@thec7889 I wouldnt say it understands the position. Engine just evaluates it by looking at specific lines and thats why it says +2 or -3. This is why engines were so bad at openings for such a long time. Now they are pretty good but mainly because they have book lines programmed into them and we can run them with enormous depth

    • @thec7889
