Idk what you did, but the sound outside of the podcast studio is actually nice and not frustrating! In solidarity for your new sound ways, I'm watching this full taste test of things I would never eat. ❤
2 separate posts of different brands tinned fish taste tastes in less than 72 hours?! The dedication and passion is showing!!! Love the devotion!! Literal ICONS 👏😆🤟❤
I am eating that lightly smoked salmon with rice, spicy pickled cucumber, pickled jalapeños, other veggies, sambal, and kewpie mayo. It's the perfect "It's too hot to cook" dinner.
@@sporked I haven't tried the trout or sardine filets yet, but I'll be buying them based on your review. I'm looking forward to many variations of this meal!
A coworker once told me they used to eat mud pies when they were little, I replied "I love Mud Pies". This person had to explain it me over 10 times before I realized they meant actual dirty wet mud from the ground ☠
Please do Aldi canned fish. I had a tuna sandwich made with their tuna this week and it was hands down the best tuna sandwich I have had in ages. We have the Trader Joe’s purple label and Bumblebee solid white in water in the pantry and the Aldi tuna is far and away better than either.
Genova Premium Yellowfin Tuna in Olive Oil, Wild Caught, Solid Light is the best I've found on Amazon in oil, for a reasonable price. Dolores Tuna Chunk Light Yellowfin Tuna in Water is delicious also found on Amazon.
There's a lot of lousy canned tuna out there. I'm okay with it in casseroles, salads, sandwiches. Once you've have the $8 jarred tuna and $11 jarred tuna belly, the cheap stuff is a little rough -- but affordable. (The jars do hold roughly twice the tuna that the cans do .) I'd never use the tuna belly in anything. It's delicious by itself with maybe some bread and slivered raw veggies. I have used the $8.00 stuff in casseroles and damn does it make a difference. Worth an occasional splurge. Lastly, those unsalted, water-packed sardines don't scare me. They are pretty strong but I've made mayo-heavy sandwiches out of them no sweat. Gotta be in serious sardine mood though.
I eat that canned salmon in the red can almost every day on top of rice. canned salmon + mayo + tzatziki seasoning (from tea + spice exchange) OR canned salmon + mayo + sriracha + furikake Put it on rice and that’s my lunch.
How do y'all folks eat your canned/tinned fish? My doctor wants me to eat more fish and the fresh stuff is out of my price range at the moment. I don't like mayo or tuna but I'm intrigued by the trout and mussels in this video
Try lightly sautéing the mussels in butter and then eating it on kettle cooked chips (salt&pepp or salt&vin are really good with this!) sounds weird but it’s delicious!
find a few hot sauces (or other spices/seasonings) that you like and just eat it with crackers! thats my favorite way, light and refreshing especially if you refrigerate the fish beforehand
I love fresh tuna but I don't care for tinned tuna. I usually eat my tuna uncooked. I don't like canned salmon either. I like salmon raw or lightly cooked. It's really delicious blackened as long as ut a isn't overcooked.
The best tomato preserves I ever had was Tomato Orange and it had a bit of cinnamon. The company no longer makes it, and I cannot find anything even remotely similar. It makes me very, very sad.😢😢😢😢😢
The only time sardines are good are when you are fishing in the middle of nowhere. Add saltines and mustard and they suddenly become the most amazing thing. Again, they are only good when you are miles from another food source.
canned tuna alone is just so dry even though they are always in liquid. It almost seems like a disservice to put it on a list with any other canned fish. Do people eat canned tuna by itself? Compared to other canned fish which are totally "crack open and eat it" as a snack.
Why are you not properly prepared for these taste tests? Meaning, no covering for the table (plastic would be good), napkins at the ready (constantly reaching for a paper towel looks unprofessional, imo), having small plates out for whatever silverware is being used… is that hard? I don’t buy albacore because it is the highest in mercury of all tunas. Chunk light, skipjack whatever is better on mercury. All canned tuna & salmon (for me; must be wild caught) are mixed with either Chosen mayo or with tzatziki sauce… the best! Maybe add a bit of dill pickle relish. I am making myself hungry. Was at Trader Joe’s this morning. Picked up 2 tzatziki sauces & their orzo salad, so good! with a bit of creamy Italian dressing.
The casual nature of these tasting videos is what I enjoy about them. It feels like having snack and FaceTiming with friends. Drop a sardine, reach for a napkin! It feels relaxed and fun. Keep it up Sporked!
There is nothing I love more than the HONEST review of trader Joe stuff. Also I will watch ANYTHING yall post. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I have very little interest in canned fish, but I will watch anything Sporked related 🤷

Mythical is such a big company at this point no way they can’t give sporked ONE place to film Jesus Christ
I have been wondering this myself! Very interesting they keep getting moved around.
I kinda love the different locations every time🤣

Thanks ladies!!

@@aimeeparrott9204 I used to work at a software company and they had sambal in self serve squeeze bottles in the cafeteria. It's so good on potatoes
Yay! I'm so happy for these. It's also nice to have a variety in prices. If we want to be bougie or every day lunch options.
😃
These videos are so fun! I like that y'all are getting in on the tinned fish trend.
15:00 So Link and Justine have something in common 😂

I sincerely hope you left one open tin of tuna in there just for the meeting. Is it bad that I think that would be hilarious?

The tinned fish phenomenon (as far as I know) hasn't yet arrived here in UK. Hoping it does. Love tinned mackerel.

Oh no. You put them in backwards order... I was picking them up at Trader's Joe but muted it and went for stuff on the left...
I'm putting a thumbs up but I'm not watching the full video because I don't like tinned fish. But keep up the cool videos. They're very entertaining

I wish i could eat more fish but the smell actually makes my roommate sick. It makes me sad. I wish i could be less considerate lol
Skip Jack AND Chunk Light, SMALLER TUNA = less mercury, Albacore = more mercury big tuna
I was JUST thinking about how stinky these fish reviews probably are when you said A MEETING AFTER YOU? That’s interoffice violence.
What are we supposed to do?!
canned tuna alone is just so dry even though they are always in liquid. It almost seems like a disservice to put it on a list with any other canned fish.
Do people eat canned tuna by itself? Compared to other canned fish which are totally "crack open and eat it" as a snack.
Why do you reckon that is? You'd think with it being such an oily fish it would stand up better to the canning process
maybe better camera/lighting and proper planning would make this more watchable. currently not so much.
Why do they think canned fish is the way to buy or eat fish? Buy it and cook it!!!!!!!!!!
Canned fish and cooked fish are NOT the same.
Please don't eat tuna on an airplane.
