Love big Clint Newton, and how he conducted himself during the EA

He probably couldn't have conducted himself worse tbh. Everyone was on board with it until he started to explain it then half the fan base switched because he couldn't come up with coherent answer past the pre-planned opening lines. Anyone paying attention to what he was saying could tell that he wasn't being honest. He literally walked off a show because he couldn't answer questions. Guys like mace and scope helped him by backing him but basically everything he said fell apart during that agreement. And it got to a point where him and abdo had to be sidelined to get the deal through.

Don't get me wrong he spoke well but what he was saying was contradictory and he constantly got pulled up on it and would just direct attention away or try change subjects. It was bad

Hey mate I respect your opinion. Remember, Clint was negotiating with mega corporations like Channel 9 and the NRL. TBH, what pissed me off the most was when Gordon Tallis walked away from the game during the Super League period in protest, which is fine, imo, but when the players in essence did the same, he was siding with the media. Hence, I'm like, nah, if they can buy out the raging bull as such, then they can pretty much do as they please. Therefore, I enjoyed when Clint dug his heels in and went into bat. Like I said, I don't disagree with your statement, but we are "little guys" in this world, and I find it interesting to see someone stand up. I could be wrong here. Finally let's be honest I really enjoyed the Media press ban, especially at half time, the guys have been busting their guts and u shove the microphone up their faces and we get the same cliche answers every week.

@@CJH94 actually he conducted himself great and the majority of fans were on the the rlpas side the only people who weren’t were old geezers who failed to read into the actual proposal on the rlpas website which had eveything laid out, they also were led into thinking all the players wanted was a pay rise to infuriate fans the majority of which being working class which came directly from the media the people who would be directly affected by the boycotts😂😂(How ironic billion dollar companies preaching to the poor about money) Also every time he went onto the media sites to argue his case they constantly went at him with personal attacks and wouldn’t allow him to speak without bombarding him

@@CJH94genuine question did you read any of the rlpas demands or did you listen to regurgitated garbage from media sites directly at odds with the rlpa for their decisions?

Interesting Jimmy, I think Clint just scraped the tip of the iceberg with the NRLW becoming a behemoth that it will, the future of the game some would argue. 👍great man Jack love the story. Big fan Jack was one the world's superstar golfers in a time when golfers were sporting heroes. Well before Tiger Woods. And 83 was a great year for Aussies 17 myself and having a beer with your mates was awesome times you could have the jukebox blaring at the pub and not think about how much the next schooner costs...

Fuck he's the worst. Liked him as a player, solid forward hard working. But the more questions he gets asked the more obvious it is that he shouldn't be that guy. He literally complained about all the past agreements that they've made then goes on to talk himself up by saying "I've penned all of our agreements, I've been there from the start". The more you listen the more he contradicts himself he's done that with every hard question he's been asked since the beginning of his process. He went on every show saying it's not about the money then would go on to explain how everything he was asking for came down to them wanting money. He nearly ruined the whole deal with his incompetence. It came to the point where they basically had to stand him down for the deal to be done. Can hide behind players welfare all he wants that had nothing to do with the sticking points he was hung up on even tho he'd begin the sentence with that and hope people weren't paying attention to the rest.
