I'm sorry I forgot to measure that distance and since I make so many new macrames every day I can't remember the exact distance. I'm really sorry, but don't worry when you're done attaching the cords if the two ends of the hanging cord are not equal you can still make adjustments without affecting the attached cords or the next steps.
