- This is a series going over the Evillious Chronicles, one storyline at a time. In this video, I'm tackling the Story of Evil, otherwise known as the story of pride! The story of evil series in itself have some of my favorite Vocaloid songs, so I was pretty excited to tackle this!

Allen and Riliane were meant to be the reincarnations of Hansel and Gretel but Prim’s affair with Arth messed up the cycle, therefore Gretel was the only one that reincarnated and she was reborn as Ney instead.
Arth did not ask the millennium tree to have his lifespan extended. He and his parents died in a carriage accident and the forest spirit named Lich decided on a whim to create a body made out of mud for him and inserted Arth’s soul into it after Arth begged him to bring him back to life. Allen and Riliane are Irregulars because reproduction between a mud golem and a human is impossible under normal circumstances and Irregulars are normally born through impossible methods. Ney is also an Irregular because of this.
Leonhart didn’t adopt Germaine because he didn’t want to harm her, he took her in because he knew she was a member of the Beelzenian Royal Family and wanted to use her in the future as a potential hostage.
Riliane didn’t suspect any relation between her and Allen cause Elluka stated that everyone in the world has at least a few people in the world that look exactly like them and it was merely a coincidence. Riliane’s assassination attempt didn’t happen during her birthday party, it took place much later.
Clarith did not descend from Venomania. This was somewhat recently retconned, so instead she descends from Hakua Netsuma and another man.
Ney was not ordered by Riliane to kill Michaela. Allen was ordered to kill Michaela but after seeing that Allen was having doubts about going through with it, Ney took it upon herself to kill her. This was also to please Prim.
It’s unconfirmed whether or not Riliane witnessed Allen’s execution. More than likely she did not as she was too busy fleeing from the palace and hiding away from soldiers. The vision of Riliane Allen saw at the guillotine was concocted by his own mind to comfort himself.
Old Riliane did not confess her sins to the children she was raising, she instead was very vague about it and they searched for answers elsewhere, where they eventually found Kyle who told them about her life a princess and who the letter she sent was for.
These are the errors I noticed but I think you did a good job!
Thanks so much for correcting the errors! As I go further into this series, it can be difficult given not every novel was properly translated, time constraints due to RUclips scheduling and more so this is super helpful! I'll be sure to discuss these errors I made when I tackle the Sloth and Envy stories!
The thing about the music videos of daugther and servant of evil is that well you see len kill miku ( i know its not their actual name but its more simple) and so just from a song perspective i always thought it was len who killed her against his will because rin told him to do so while well as i learned in your video it wasnt actually him who did this :0 i know thou the lore of this is very deep and complicated but im glad you can exlpain it to us and help learn out of just the songs and pvs itself :)!

Yeah... These sagas are just as, if not more confusing than the Blazblue franchise. Lots of retcons, twists, turns and confusing ass timelines. But you seem to be following it pretty well, I look forward to the next one.

I know the light novel states Elluka used the Clockwork lullaby on Allen so he could hallucinate Riliane there, and Riliane was running for her life, but the original music video really contradicts that! Lol

UGH I hate to be this person. I really really do. I cannot express how much I hate, HATE the canon nerds who comment things like "oh that isn't actually canon" on fanart of Allen crying over Michaela. Like those people who call everyone who just enjoys the songs 'not real fans'. Yall know who I'm talking about. It bothers me so much.
That being said.
I'm pretty sure Germaine wasn't adopted because Leonhart didn't want to kill a baby. If I remember right from the song A Hero's Armor is Always Crimson, and the wiki that she was some member of the royal family and Leonhart wanted to use her as a hostage. Then he grew attached.
(Side note: IM SOBBING OVER 'I guess nobody ever said Riliane was the smartest queen' 😂😂😂)
It says on the wiki that Kyle was born February 17, EC 474
Riliane was born December 27, EC 485
Meaning, Kyle is 11 years older than her. Making him 24-25 when Riliane was a young teenager.
I feel like thats a bit worse than just being 20? But maybe that's just me.
Side notes: Shout out to the knowledge that 'let them eat cake' is fake. I had to do a project on Marie Antoinette in school. So I appreciate someone actually knowing that.

I know! It bugs me too, especially when Mothy super saw the musical and put in that Allen was very emotional over Michaela's death. The Evillious fandom can be a bit snooty sometimes from what I've experienced!
Ah, most likely but the light novel changed that because the light novels retcon a LOT of things originally mentioned in the songs for some reason.
GOSH THAT'S SO BAD THOUGH. I was sure Kyle was 20 but that knowledge must have been before a full timeline of Evillious, gosh that's worse! Lol

The afterlife portion is super complicated. He was sent to the Heavenly Yard because he and Riliane reunite and perform the ReBirthday song or something together to remake the world into a peaceful one, and I *believe* from there is when the ReBirthday song starts? ugh, the entire afterlife part after Judgement of Corruption is way too confusing! Lol

Anyway, I haven't ever read the books, but I've read a TON of the wiki, because I wrote a fanfic, and felt like I needed to know what happened in the books, because of the snooty fans. Though admittedly people on AO3 are actually fairly respectful of that sort of thing. Unlike some of the stuff on RUclips or Pinterest.
Still its kinda funny that I still get people telling me about what's canon in my comment section when they're over 200,000 words deep in my fanfic, knowing I haven't read the books, and that it's an AU, with "I THREW CANON OUT THE WINDOW" as one of the tags, but I digress.
Anyway like I said I haven't read the books, so I wouldn't know about Leonhart's adoption of Germaine getting retconned. So that's news.
Honestly I kinda don't like it as much. I feel like in the song Leonhart had more of a character arc which was more interesting.
Then again that's the same way I feel about the demons in general, since I feel like being possessed kinda takes away from Riliane's character arc. Since it becomes unclear how much of her actions were really her fault. Like would she have done the green hunting if she hadn't been possessed? Who knows.
But maybe that's just me.
Kyle's age is icky.
Most people seem to not know, or care, how old he is, given how popular Kyle X Allen is as a ship. Like- honestly thats even worse than Kyle X Riliane, since Allen is a servant and therefore has a class related power imbalance to Prince Kyle, and not just an age imbalance.

She was technically adopted by Leon Hart.
Also it's worth mentioning that even if a person is possessed by a demon the actions that person does is still their doing. The demon just amplifies already existing feelings. Rilliane was spoilt from when she was a child so she'd probably do the green hunting even if she wasn't possessed.

Also I really don't think u should base ur facts on solely the wiki when the novels r free in English. The wiki tends to bombard u with facts without any tone or emotion to the story
@@lol-ye9jx i was talking to Weebalu, because they said that apparently Leonhart adopted Germaine because he didn't want to kill a child, when in the songs he does it because he wants to hold Germaine hostage because she's a member of the royal family. I didn't mean that her entire adoption got retconned, just some of the circumstances around it.
Also, respectfully, I don't need you telling me to read the books. Yes they're free in English, but those are fan translations and not an official one, so I have no idea if it'd be accurate. Aside from that people shouldn't have to read the books to enjoy something. There are people who enjoy the harry Potter movies, and haven't read the books at all. I don't see a difference here.
I remember loving the original song decades ago, but damn if just trying to get the lore behind everything got so overwhelming i just gave up at some point. Still it's nice to get it explained in some form.
Fun video! I wanna add more context to some of the stuff you say here, (btw I havent watched the other video as of writing)
2:53 Alexiel and Riliane are *supposed* to be the next reincarnations of Hansel and Gretel after Arte and Pollo from the Gluttony Arc, but were interrupted because Ney, Pride Arc's Gretel, was conceived. Also, Hansel and Gretel couldn't be reborn into anything but Irregulars (aka beings that aren't supposed to be born but are born anyways, like whatever the hell Ma is). Somehow, Alexiel, Riliane and Ney were conceived despite their dad being made entirely out of mud. The next Hansel isn't Alexiel, but will be born in the Sloth Arc. Because of their nature, Riliane and Allen can reincarnate, but only separately unlike with Hansel and Gretel, plus without the Irregular requirement.
6:04 Germaine (formerly Zita C. Beelzenia, descendant of Banica and Venomania) was actually not a baby "baby". In A Hero's Armor is Always Crimson, she tries to defend her kidnapper Leonhart, which made him consider to raise her instead of selling her off. Another comment here mentioned it too.
7:22 and thus Riliane becomes a Sin Contractor. Everyone, please remember this, it will come up in the exams about EC 1000!
That aside, Riliane insists to be called a *princess* out of respect from her late mother, who was definitely the better ruler.

12:35 Clarith wasn't abused for being a descendant of Venomania, rather she was abused because she was a descendant of the white-haired red-eyes Netsumas, who had a violent history in Elphegort. Basically the Elphes, or at least people from her hometown, were racist to her.
13:17 ooc bc of the text, but funnily enough, there's only *one* true Luka Lookalike in the whole Chronicles, and that is Lukana Octo's body, which was passed onto Elluka, and then passed onto Kayo Sudou from the Envy Arc, and then becomes the head at Onigashima. What an adventure!
13:25 iirc Kyle was possessed by the Demon of Lust at the time so he was thinking quite poorly about this whole thing.
13:50 iirc again, Elluka offered Micheala and Gumilia to relinquish their human body and save themselves but they insisted on keeping them.
17:50 Clarith here almost becomes the Sin Contractor of Wrath.
18:42 At this point in time, Ney was already dead and inside the Glass of Conchita because Irina fucked shit up as per usual.
18:46 Since the cat was just a plush, Irina didn't die, and in the future she's gonna take Germaine's body for herself in the following Sloth Arc, calling herself Julia Abelard and adopting the Hansel of that era. Germaine gets her body back though and sees Lucifenia prospering before dying of rapid aging.
19:05 another iirc, Josephine was with her too! Josephine died of old age while Riliane was with her. :(
19:10 idk if this part was canon or not, because mothy once said The Letter She Kept Waiting For wasn't canon and was replaced by Blink, or that got re-retconned and Blink would go before Letter.
Also I agree that it couldn't have been an Allen reincarnation, because that would give the Envy and Greed-Wrath arc a plot hole!

.... I knew the stories in the songs got expanded into manga and musicals and stuff with a bunch of extra lore, but damn. I think I like the story of evil better just based on what we get in the songs 🥴 all this possession and magic tree stuff makes it a lot less interesting to me, I think it's better as a story of regular human evils, atonement, and love

Their not foster siblings if their both adopted and share the dame dad. They can only be foster siblings if they're being fostered. Fostering and Adoption are NOT the same thing.

So whos really the older and younger twin, Riliane or allen?
The light novel implies Allen is but the songs and comic say Riliane, so I honestly don't know! I would say Allen is the older twin just from my perspective at least.

The light novel, and I believe the first manga, imply Allen is the older one. Maybe it got retconned that Riliane was younger so it could be better explained why political leaders wanted Allen out of the way. Lol
That or I'm assuming it's implied when wording makes it sound like Allen was the heir and Riliane was the spare.

i still don't actually know which one, if you listen to the songs, also the characters of Evillious chronicles are there, including the seven sinners especially the lucifen twins, Allen says she is his older sister. I'm not very sure, arth has chosen Alexiel to be the heir possibility cuz alexiel is male while the true successor was Riliane.
@@ItsAlissalol That could also be possible, because its usually the males who become the heir even if they're the younger one, so it's really confusing.
@@Stasias_tears yeah, like the twins of Monaco, the twin prince was a few minutes younger then his twin sister, but he is chosen as the heir not the girl.
