- A playthrough of GameTek's 1989 game show game for the NES, Jeopardy! Junior Edition.
Played against two CPU opponents on difficulty level 3.
Jeopardy! Junior Edition was Rare's third and final Jeopardy! game for the NES, coming out about a year after the first one. At its core, like the 25th Anniversary Edition, Jeopardy! Junior Edition is a essentially the same game as the original: the question banks are new and a few tweaks have been made to the graphics, but the underlying game is virtually identical. Not that it makes much difference if you enjoy the game.
Junior offers up 400 new categories of questions aimed at the kids (ages seven and up) who would've likely found the first two games too difficult. The questions focus on things that are taught in elementary and middle school as well as children's stories, and so long as the player can read reasonably well, the whole package is surprisingly accessible without being insulting or condescending.
It's not going to offer adults any challenge, but the game is just as well made as the adult versions, and it does a really nice job of adhering to the spirit of the show in how it encourages people to learn through fun.
RIP Alex Trebek. The world could use a few more like you.

The Jr. version went along really nicely with the show's drive to make learning fun for everyone. How many of you guys played this as kids in the 80s? :) I know I did!
I played it in early 90's.
These player sprites scare the absolute shit out of me
The eyes really get me. So dead and creepy looking.
I’m glad I’m not the only one. My parents and brother made fun of me for it as a kid.
R.I.P. for Alex Trebek
Long live Alex
I'm guessing he doesn't make a cameo in this game? 😥
Rip Alex
Instead of Alex, you should have named him/her Spaz. Dude's head is going to fly off.
RIP Alex Trebek
I bet Alex Trebek, Sean Connery and Burt Reynolds are having a crazy time in heaven
I believe the correct name is (What is) Turd Ferguson.
1:18, “This... is... Jeopardy! Now entering the studio are today’s contestants: A video game collector from Chicago, Illinois, Alex Florentine... a wrestling referee from Tampa, Florida, Marty Potter... and our returning champion, a concert promoter from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Beryl Slater, whose 4-day cash winnings total $39,860. And now, here is the host of Jeopardy, Alex Trebek!”-Johnny Gilbert.
“Thank you, Johnny Gilbert. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. Hello there as we get another exciting half-hour of answers and questions underway here on Jeopardy. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Beryl’s fifth and final day with us and if she wins today, she’ll retire undefeated, and regardless of whether or not she wins her fifth and final game, our concert promoter from my native Toronto will be in our Tournament of Champions. Alex and Marty, you’ll be doing your best to end her undefeated streak. Good luck here today and let’s go to work. Here comes the Jeopardy round.”-Alex Trebek.
Beryl looks like she will attack at any second.
Beryl's rocking that blonde weave from the hood.
They put in the classic "Dun Dun, Dun Dun, Dun Dun Dun Dun, Dun Dun Dun Dun " opening originally in the first season of Jeopardy (which also got used the Summer of 1990 for "Super Jeopardy!" for the finals).
God where did they get these contestants the toxic waste dump? Perhaps Dimension X?
Right? (*O*_o ) That's a portrait of Beryl.
I own this one...And every time I do a clean sweep of a category when I go to 500 or 1000, I say finish the category
Jeopardy the game will continue without Alex
It won't be the same, though. R.I.P. Alex.

As we get started with the jeopardy round
My guess for the Writers Final Jeopardy Clue would have been 1 of the following 3.
1: Edgar Allen Poe
2: Ray Bradbury
3: Truman Capote
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD *YOU ARE NOT A GENIUS, STOP ACTING LIKE ONE*
RIP Alex Trebek.
Jeopardy before the kids' version JEP!, and before the regular show did kids' weeks.

This is one of a few versions of Jeopardy I got recently, and the other two versions I want to get are Jeopardy: Teen Tournament on Game Boy and Jeopardy: 2nd Edition on PS1.

I'm pretty good at this game.
If you ever took a trip to the library and read some of his work you could possibly find the right answer
Beryl we go to you you’re in second place
