Deen is an amazing talent. Infinity is within my top 5 of all Journey albums w/ Patiently & Winds of March some of my favorite tracks. Love to hear Deen on vocals for Winds as well as do the drum solo. Deen has to be the closest to Steve Perry in tone as well as emotion / texture of all the other greats who have sung the hardest catalogue of tunes in the biz.
I absolutely agree with you. Amazing album. All great songs, Winds of March, Lights, Patiently, Feeling that way. The time with Greg Rollie was a great time for Journey. Deen Castronovo should have became the front man after Steve Augieri.
yes he should have , he said he was to shy and didn't want to, and look at what it did to Augieri and Arnel both and almost to perry he didn't want to destroy his voice either , he also had his personal demons
I grew up listening to Infinity and this BEAUTIFUL song with my HS girlfriend. I am so in tune when I see this song played live, ain't NO way these are true Journey fans tuning out and talking. They're probably half my age and don't have the history of the song like I do to, so I guess I understand. This was Steve and Neils first song they wrote together.
These teenie bopper kids don't have the history of Journey and Patiently OTHERWISE they wouldnt be talking during this classic masterpiece 🤔. I was 17 when this song was released and listened to it over and over again. Just a BEAUTIFUL classic.

Deano was going to sing/drum on Schon's "Planet Us" project when Hagar/Anthony bailed....unfortunately it got sidelined,eventually being released as "Soul SirkUS".Virgil Donati replaced Castronovo at the last moment...(for some reason ?).... Ive been lucky enough to see them quite a few times over the last 2 - 3 years and Deen is the best vocalist (bar Perry) by a country mile !!!!-i wonder if he could handle singing a complete set and Drumming......?!?!?!?!?!??

Deen told his Dad that he preferred not to sing. That he was first and foremost a drummer.
