Mateer has been throwing over the top in spring practice. He was only a part time side arm thrower before the injury, and has returned to that standard over the off season.
For Sellers, we just got Neff Giwa, a 6-foot-8, 300-pound Irish rugby player for addition to our offensive line. Every college wanted him, but we got him. And this year our OL should do much better, with also Jacarrius Peak, from NC State, Sellers will have much more time in the pocket, and will be able to use his legs more.
@JoshPateCFB I have heard some people say that they think that Iowa should move on from Kirk Ferentz. I personally think that Iowa should keep him and that he is a great coach. What do you think? -Nashville, Tennessee
OU were so set on rushing the QB every time he was right at the D-Lines finger tips he’d take off running. I think they will be smarter next time and focus on containing him and plugging up any holes he could run through.
Prob wasn't sure he was gonna play yet... But he will be ok the oc they brought in was under kiffin there for a few and had the same offense at east Carolina..he lost some targets though
Feel like he is bought out by a team’s marketing department each year to glaze (Ex. Penn State last year when they only had 5…5 completions to WR in the 2024 playoffs) this year LSU seems to be tacking on to their $200mil-ish tab.
Chambliss and Stockton I think are the only solid bets. Manning could be deadly once he figures out how to complete a pass over 5 yards. Mateer and Reed are the biggest wild cards. Both could be Heisman candidates. Both could get benched.
What??? You didn’t say the thing that I wanted you to say! I’m mad at you!! Now that you’ve read this, I’m sure you’ll change your mind, which will also clearly make my team better. Sincerely, Apparently the entire comments section
@SteveS66 stats stay at home. Your not throwing in strength if schedule, and you don’t need stats when explaining putting the same amount of eggs in the unknown and the known.
Yes….DeBoer/Grubb with their pick of two ultra talented QBs against a guy who looked meh despite his experience, both generally and within the offense. Ty Simpson was demonstrably better than Mateer last year despite essentially zero experience. You must’ve had far more confidence in Allar that Sayin/Moore last year then?? Austin Mack is a 6’6 rocket armed QB going into his FOURTH year under DeBoer and Keelon Russell is a best player in the country type super talent going into his second year. If anything, medium confidence that ONE of them will be good this year is understating the case. I’m personally bullish on Mateer this season but there are pretty clear reasons to doubt that he’ll be what he was sold as….he played QB like a scattershot running back last season.
@m@moth5402 Who did they play outside of Texas and bama? Pre season strength of schedule is trash so don’t come back with that bs. Strength of schedule is shown at the end of the season. Teams always showed out that weren’t talked about. The defense carried ou and Mateer was mid at best.
Respect your view on my gamecocks’ sitch, I am keeping myself and my expectations grounded. But as a true fan, I feel we could just completely turn the house upside down. Who knows maybe even make the playoffs
Mateer is pic prone once everybody figured out those crossing routes it didn’t fare well for him they may be ok if he doesn’t try to takeover every game like last year! 🤘Hook Em
Texas has been perfectly above average the past couple of seasons, but never elite. I'm convinced Manning isn't going to perform well in their system. I think he's a good QB (not great), but he won't shine at Texas.
Google is free, josh. Google is free 😂😒🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️ Our wide receiver room is loaded and with briles's system, they will EAT. I also see how auburn gets a higher confidence level then us and they have a lot more things to work out then we do. Blue blood brand bias at its finest. It doesn't matter what we do, the disrespect never ends. You win 9 games when everyone said you'll only win 3 - 4, you get ranked 13th preseason and everyone says you don't belong there and starts rooting for you to lose, other teams who actually didn't do anything the year before getting the benefit of the doubt over you, multiple podcasters not doing a proper deep dive into your team but have all the time in the world for exclusives and lengthy deep dives for the blue bloods, it's just laughable man. A national championship and a SEC Championship is needed, not just wanted. Needed for Validation Needed for Respect Needed for Acknowledgment
@s@steelrainoutdoors5393ly 2 SEC teams have beaten us in 3 years. He torched the whole SEC except for UGA this season. Check his stats. Haters gonna hate!!!
@steelrainoutdoors5393 You’re right, we’re much better than the sec. Not even kidding - this conference and its fans especially are beneath us, and there is a huge faction of Texas alums that didn’t sign off on this, and are kind of embarrassed to be here. We’ll hang around and win it in just about every category, but lots of us are hoping to just go independent within the next 5-10 years. Texas definitely is not “real sec”, and thank goodness we’re not 🤘🏻
@steelrainoutdoors5393 we’ve done nothing but win in the SEC from football to softball to swimming Baseball and football and even showed out in basketball
Just like with ty simpson people saw the last games were he was hurt and think that's who he is.. no way arch doesn't have a good year with those recivers
As an OU fan, Mateer was overrated and started playing tougher competition. Go back and watch the Michigan game....he wasnt great in that one other than running.
No mention of Trinidad. 😆 Go ahead and click that Unsubscribe button. 6 on confidence meter. 😆 Just saw it pander to my audience w/out saying it. Jesus Josh. Stay 😴
Isn’t he fighting a Supreme Court case that may eventually leave him ineligible? How long is he? 8th season in college? Why not move on? What’s up down in Oxford?
the majority of the teams in the SEC weren't originally in the conference. How many years does a team need to be in the conference before they're "real SEC"
SEC is weak overall in QBs this year. Assuming Chambliss will play, he should be 1st team all SEC. Gunnar at Ga. Sellers @USC and Reed @TAM ceilings are incredibly high. Then there's LSU. If Leavitt is healthy he could be SEC 2nd team. Outside of those QB rooms, including Bama, I'd have to sell.
Impossible to say. All it would take is a couple of those unknowns to hit and suddenly SEC would be considered the strongest QB conference in the country

Just as a reminder… Pate’s picks last year were Sellers and Lagway… 😂😂 love ya bud
to be fair Sellers was more the team being awful than Sellers being awful but yeah, not his best picks
What was yours?
Best qb in the sec… 🇹🇹
That Stretch of Georgia, Tennessee, A&M, and LSU followed by Vanderbilt is crazy
I want to get a mood tracker on Kentucky!
For Sellers, we just got Neff Giwa, a 6-foot-8, 300-pound Irish rugby player for addition to our offensive line. Every college wanted him, but we got him.

Chambliss?? Are you serious?
@JoshPateCFB I have heard some people say that they think that Iowa should move on from Kirk Ferentz. I personally think that Iowa should keep him and that he is a great coach. What do you think? -Nashville, Tennessee
If Leavitt doesn't return to full speed. Watch for Landen Clark. Big arm and good legs. Longstreet is talented but his release is funky.
Media: “do you have a moment to talk about our lord and savior arch manning?”
because this went so well last season lol
Vols?
Chambliss is a freaking beast, man. OU’s defense just couldn’t shut him down and I don’t like our odds again this year.
OU were so set on rushing the QB every time he was right at the D-Lines finger tips he’d take off running. I think they will be smarter next time and focus on containing him and plugging up any holes he could run through.
No talk on Trinidad?
Prob wasn't sure he was gonna play yet... But he will be ok the oc they brought in was under kiffin there for a few and had the same offense at east Carolina..he lost some targets though
Think this was recorded before he was given the all clear
@d1sportsballoh, that makes sense
because he lives in a Manning hive mind
Gotta see if the nursing home lets him out on Saturdays.
I mean, I understand Arkansas hasn’t been relevant in football for a long time. But I would love to hear more about Arkansas football on here.
Feel like he is bought out by a team’s marketing department each year to glaze (Ex. Penn State last year when they only had 5…5 completions to WR in the 2024 playoffs) this year LSU seems to be tacking on to their $200mil-ish tab.

Imagine replying to a guy in Knoxville about QBs and not even talking about Tennessee.
Lol Arch will get better as talent gets better? Uhh this is Texas right? Picked to win it all last year....?😊
Jerome Minchey?
Didn’t even talk about the best qb in the sec last year
Well, probably theres not much to say.
🇹🇹
Because there's nothing to say?
Ngl Josh you’re my teachers brother in law
I wish people would stop making pre mature comments . No one knows how the fck it will go for any of them !
What??? You didn’t say the thing that I wanted you to say! I’m mad at you!! Now that you’ve read this, I’m sure you’ll change your mind, which will also clearly make my team better.

😂😂😂 couldn’t have said it better everyone thinks there opinion is the best
Byrum Brown 2nd best QB in the SEC
Keelon Russell for Alabama, we need a two-year QB in the system at minimum.
You don’t even mention the best QB in the SEC? You hate on Ole Miss why?
He has always hated Olemiss
Becuase that is what Big Media does.....They tongue slather of Arch who stats kinda sucked by every measure against 🇹🇹
Ole Piss
@schpere58 Guess what we’ll see head to head this year, won’t we 🤘🏻
@benjaminfinley9314arch had a pretty dang good season after it all shook out last year…looking forward to this year
So medium confidence for a completely unproven qb room at Alabama and a medium confidence for an experienced qb at Oklahoma. Got it
Experienced but 14 TD’s, 11 INTs and 65 qbr tell the story.
@SteveS66 stats stay at home. Your not throwing in strength if schedule, and you don’t need stats when explaining putting the same amount of eggs in the unknown and the known.

So, tell me know nothing about Georgia's roster. No need it is obvious. Go Dawgs
🇹🇹
It’s obvious pate does not pay attention to the upgrades OU has made which will help Mateer
Mateer is pic prone once everybody figured out those crossing routes it didn’t fare well for him they may be ok if he doesn’t try to takeover every game like last year! 🤘Hook Em
At least they have a quarterback bama has nothing
I mean they have multiple 5 stars lol but yeah no one that has PROVEN anything. The potential is definitely there though
Texas PR is crazy. Never seen a team allowed to fail as much as they have and still get the benefit of the doubt.
Every year!
Texas has been perfectly above average the past couple of seasons, but never elite. I'm convinced Manning isn't going to perform well in their system. I think he's a good QB (not great), but he won't shine at Texas.

Don’t mind me… just here to get frustrated by the Arch Manning hate in the comments 😂😂😂
Texas isn't real SEC so there is that.
He's a good big 12 QB
@s@steelrainoutdoors5393ly 2 SEC teams have beaten us in 3 years. He torched the whole SEC except for UGA this season. Check his stats. Haters gonna hate!!!

Anyone who hates on Arch Manning only saw the first half of the season and the Georgia highlights. They don’t know anything about
Tell’em Chris! I think I am addicted to the cortisol spikes reading their comments gives me 😂
Just like with ty simpson people saw the last games were he was hurt and think that's who he is.. no way arch doesn't have a good year with those recivers
The facts are indisputable, you like him so you don't hold it against him...I do. Sorry he's more Eli than Peyton.
Just jumping to defend against attacks that haven't even come yet.
@skeeterfinklage_SSMSEli won 2 super bowls and is going to the HOF 😂😂😂 ID TAKE IT
As an OU fan, Mateer was overrated and started playing tougher competition. Go back and watch the Michigan game....he wasnt great in that one other than running.
A broken thumb will kinda hamper you as a qb.
This show means NOTHING if not talking about Trinidad. WTF ?He played a PARTIAL season and stats soared passed Manning and Stockton 😂
I didn’t know 14 games was a partial season lol you must be using that Mississippi math
Once again, the “Manning” name suddenly means he’s going to be great
Every one of your comments on this channel is about Arch 😂
What’d he do to you? 😂🤘🏻
3 of the last 3 Mannings were, so hard to bet against one, at least for NFL.
Someone has to balance out the slobber fest
WHAT HAS ARCH MANNING DONE
Won ten games in first year what did your boy do?
Win 12 games and the SEC + beat Arch by four possessions
No mention of Trinidad. 😆 Go ahead and click that Unsubscribe button. 6 on confidence meter. 😆 Just saw it pander to my audience w/out saying it. Jesus Josh. Stay 😴
Isn’t he fighting a Supreme Court case that may eventually leave him ineligible? How long is he? 8th season in college? Why not move on? What’s up down in Oxford?
@HeartlessWon506 the supreme court dismissed the NCAA appeal a few days ago
He didnt know if he was gonna play yet
I unsubscribed a while back because he refuses to mention us now that kiffin is gone.
@collinmooremagic6843Yet, HERE YOU STILL ARE SIR 😂
Texas isn't real SEC so the fact you talk about them shows you are not serious.
the majority of the teams in the SEC weren't originally in the conference. How many years does a team need to be in the conference before they're "real SEC"
Thank goodness we’re not “real sec”. It’s honestly kind of an embarrassing association.
Probably the main reason why Texas is still (potentially) relevant in the national title picture
@EB_3D Negative, sergeant. Ten out of sixteen current SEC schools are founding members.
@effusivefugitive "most" was slightly inaccurate but the point still stands, a sizeable % were not founding members
