I feel your pain. That 101 bridge bluff wall is hit or miss. Typically has fish, just sometimes loaded with small ones. You did well keeping your head in it. Great video.
Even though you didn't make it, you have a positive attitude about it all. You told it how it is and that's reality that some have a hard time getting over. Great video as always and thanks for sharing Gabe!
I thought about that. Do you haul your kayak on a trailer for long trips? I have a f150 and used to have a small recreational kayak and threw it in the back
@@chums101 I have a trailer but a lot of guys have the kayak truck Mount bar that holds ur kayak off the bed of the truck and I live in St. Louis and I fish moyak which is all over Missouri best series in Midwest and best payouts but super competitive. A lot of us qualify for kbf national championship and also bass
@@CentralTyrantInvestigations sounds good. I’m in southern Illinois about a 2 hour drive from St. Louis. Sorry about all the questions but what is an average kayak model people use? Not trying to get the top of the line Ranger of kayaks and not the Nitro on the bottom end either, something solid in the middle, like the Falcon of kayaks lol
You know I really appreciate it when the boater leaves the console graph on for me. My last tournament, the boater did NOT do this for me. I got the old "it will run down my battery" excuse...lol
Tough to fish behind someone when there fishing parallel , with all the pressure from all the tournaments all year it's really tough to catch a limited, thanks for sharing Gabe , good luck next year
A good technique to try when your in that position parallel the bank is moon eye jig 1/8 oz with a minnow berkly bait in smelt count it down to the deep of the fish on straight floro 8lb & spinning Rod , it works. You handle your self very well, nice job.
Great season. I was on Norfork that same weekend fishing a tourney. VERY tough bite. We managed to finish 2nd with 6 fish over 2 days. Kind of pathetic, but I'll take it.
I don't think I could fish this format. Fishing against the person I am in the boat with knowing going into it we have a conflict of interests. I'd rather work with the other person in the boat towards a mutual goal. Not work singularly in the same boat. But you definitely seem to make the best of it.
It can be challenging at time. Brian was a good boater. He needed to fish that way to get his bites. I like the team format as well. Doesn’t matter who catches them it goes towards the same cause.
@@TheTinHorseMonty last year by the 101 bridge my dad caught a big 8-9lb he was a brute but if you want during may is when me and my dad go down we do bass and striper you should try striper if you have not already bc it is sweet
@@buisfamilyfarms2958 Wow had no idea there were bass that big in Norfork. I've caught a few 20 plus striper but I wasn't fishing for them. Very strong fish!!

It is a bit of a let down to be that close and not continue, but when you consider all you accomplished to get that close, it could be an inspiration. Each day is different, and each boater is different, and as a co-angler, that can be a most difficult position, but an incredible learning situation, just think of the knowledge you'll take into next tournament season.
Good job man. All y’all complaining, y’all get a boat… if you don’t want to deal with the coangler BS, get a boat. If you can’t afford one, then you gotta roll with the flow. No offense. I’ve been a co before and when I paid the entry I knew what I was getting myself into. You don’t like it, buy a boat and enter as a boater. Good job man. Tough day.
Exactly man. It’s just part of the game in the back of the boat. The best way to fish how you want is to fish out of the front of your own boat. I think it makes you better fishing out of the back in a less than ideal situation. I still grumble a little bit but it is what it is.
It’s all good. Brian was fishing the way he had to to catch his fish. I adjusted to my conditions the best that I could. I still enjoyed being on the water with Brian even though it was a challenge.
Thanks for sharing. It’s tough in back of boat. Your attitude is great.
Thanks Dennis. Appreciate it.
Another great video, keep grinding, my friend..!! And keep up the great videos, I look forward to them every time..!!
Thanks buddy. Been a long time since I've seen you comment. Hope you're doing well!

Thanks Rick. Brian said he had way more bites on day 1. It was just a tougher day for all.

Appreciate it Cody. I try to keep it real. Showing all aspects of fishing. The good days and the tough days because we all have them.
@@TheTinHorseMonty Amen to that brother
And that is why I quit coangler. Total bs went over to kayak side and absolutely love it

Nothing against Brian’s approach just wasn’t my day. I thought about getting a kayak to get in some of the lakes with no boat ramp. Very stealthy.
Enjoyed following you this year and will next year! Always learning even on the bad days!! Thanks Gabe!
Thanks Brother!
Great show Gabe it was a grind 😂😂 But still a lot better than working 👍👍🎣🎣
Agree 100%

Agree 100%. It makes a big difference. I’m so used to looking at a graph in boat that I feel naked without it.
