- Former President Donald Trump has shared AI-generated images that falsely claim he has Taylor Swift’s support. In a post on his social media app Truth Social on Sunday, the 78-year-old attached screenshots from ‘X,’ formerly Twitter, which depict AI-generated “Swifties for Trump” photos alongside his caption, “I accept!” One of the distorted images even shows the pop star dressed as “Uncle Sam” with the text, “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.” Another shows a fake headline which reads, “Swifties Turning To Trump After ISIS Foiled Taylor Swift Concert” - referring to the foiled terrorist plot which targeted the global superstar’s Eras Tour Vienna shows. However, directly above the inaccurate headline there is a label which reads “satire,” and the creator of the original post confirmed on their ‘X’ account that it is in fact fake, writing, “SATIRE- there is no Swifties for Trump movement - but there should be.”

This will blow up in his face, HARD. Not only do you not piss Swift herself off, but man-oh-man, you don't piss of her massive army of supporters. But then, nobody has ever accused Trump of being smart. I know Taylor has Trump fans in her fan base, but most I would guess are not. And TS could, on her own, turn her army out to vote Harris/Walz, so to say this was stupid is a massive understatement.
Quaw: It does matter. Swifties too young to vote will badger their mothers and older sisters to vote Blue. Not to mention, they will age in the next few years, and turn even more Blue after remembering Trump’s lies, and no Repub having the stones to call him out.
If people vote based on who Swift endorses, they have problems. That being said, it is beyond childishness to fake someone's endorsement. Pure sign of a sinking ship.

@@Quaw Incorrect. According to a 2023 survey, 21% of Swift's US fans are millennials, like the 34-year-old herself. Another 21% are Gen X and 25% are Boomers. That means nearly half of her millions of fans are probably over age 45.
Also, the idea that most voters are either hard-core Trump supporters or Far Left Democrats in not accurate. In 2023 registered Democrats and Republicans were tied at 27% and Independents had increased to 43% of registered voters.
Most people greatly underestimate the importance of Independent voters who are also divided into Left and right leaning, but they are much more flexible in their voting habits than Republicans or Democrats. Independent voters are a huge wild card and they can go either way depending on the candidates.
