For those that don't know how mahjong works, it's basically poker with much bigger hands, except that you can steal (this case ron,pon,kan, and chi) your opponents tile to advance your hand and win from there. The points you get are determined by the tiles you use to win. It's a genuinely fun game and I reccomend more people to play the game :3

It's like poker in the sense that you are trying to build hands. The difference comes in that you drop "cards" in the middle of the table that anyone can pick up to complete their hand. All the names you hear like Ron and such are hands and ways to win. I'm no expert, so take this with a grain of salt.

​@upg5147 you're practically on the money when it comes to explaining it. Mahjong hands are pretty similar to poker, when it comes to basic ones ofc, tho there are various stand out hands that just can't be made in poker like thirteen orphans.

@@upg5147 Yeye, it's not exactly 1:1 but it does play pretty similar. It's fun and Mahjong Souls' does have a nice player base so there's always people playing at all levels.
