I don't really know why but I find nightcore disgusting recently, namely for the reason of audio quality. How do you do to maximize the sound quality in your videos please? I heard streamripping was what caused most losses of sound quality, but something seems totally wrong with using some editing programs which reencode the whole song and turn it into a video right after... So basically, how much do we lose in order to listen to nightcore in sound quality? What about every beat, every note, are they totally fucked for the sake of rendering a voice with pitch and tempo effect?
Well, there's many good audio editing features with speed/pitch settings, but not all of them have a good quality. If you google "How to Nightcore a song", the first hit has two recommended programs: one free one and one paid one. It states that the paid one has better audio quality, but the first one works just as well. So, Melody probably uses a program by Adobe (or any other paid program, maybe WavePad). I tried out a trial version of WavePad and it's better than Audacity.
The problem lies more with the starting file, you need a version that's as close to the original source (thus, as uncompressed) as possible. The further the audio file gets compressed, the more data that is used to pitch and highten the frequencies of these songs is lost.
