In this video, my parents and I fish the surf at the "Cantão do Indaiá" in Bertioga, São Paulo, Brazil.
This is the first RUclips video that I shot with my mom and dad after my dad had his heart attack in November of 2023. I am not going to sugar coat it - this entire "situation" was quite an ordeal for all of us. 😔
Since then, it took a few MONTHS for my father to recover from it. Meanwhile, I have been traveling between the USA and Brazil to take care of him, and to schedule all the necessary medical exams and cardiologists for him. Nevertheless... I am extremely happy to say that he has recovered beautifully. He is currently in China with my mother, visiting my 98 years old grandmother (my dad's mom), and I will be joining them around July-August of this year to visit family members and shoot Lifelisting RUclips videos there for you folks.

It is rare for him to go fishing nowadays. He only does it when I am around. That's why he enjoys each session immensely!

Interesting there is a South American genus of cichlids called “earth eaters” (Geophagus)
