Dante’s Divine Comedy is popular culture. It was and still is Biblical fan fiction. It’s a 14th century version of Hellraiser that was so good we still read it and even made an anime about it.
If you want really freaky stuff that makes the MCU and DCU look tame, check out the Old Testament.

Among the many iconic moments in Inferno, the lowest circle was one that stood out to me. The description of the devil is so cool, and the fact that instead of hellfire we see a frozen lake, full of half frozen sinners, is so unique to me. Even if the video game changed a lot about the character of Dante, they paid attention to how he described each circle, from Cerberus being a wormlike beast to Lucifer being imprisoned in the ice.

It is interesting how the color of the three faces, black, white and red, are also the three colors of the alchemical phases, Nigredo, Albedo and Rubedo. Surely this has some kind of connection, showing the Devil as the corrupted version of the perfect being.

Agreed, but Dante‘s journey into the afterlife has only just begun, and after in Inferno,we actually get to go to purgatory, but for some reason purgatory and Paradiso are the lesser known or less popular works of the divine comedy,🎭It seems to have been overshadowed by the more popular of the stories of Dante‘s Inferno.

Marvelous and wonderful work. It's not just the physical effort we get to see, but the effort we get to hear-- your sound design for every segment of the inferno, with the wails, splashes, screams, rolling boulders and crackling flames go further beyond in shaping the atmosphere. Your extended research goes greatly appreciated too and your voice is quite pleasant to listen to.
I would love to one day see you make characters from the likes of Oddworld or Zeno Clash. These both thrive on strange creatures, with hardly a human in sight. Or in the case of Oddworld, no humans at all.
But even in Zenozoik, there exists no notion of what a "human" is. Every Zeno is thusly strange from each other, that there is hardly mention of species or subspecies between Zenos.
Pseudo from the prequel Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, is an especially strange and gnarly figure. Appearing like Clint Eastwood if he was an earthworm, that inhabited an orange mandrake for a body and tried to paint himself as a walking piece of traffic gridding.
Some of the inspirations for Zeno Clash come straight from something you are already experienced with: The Drolatic Dreams of Pantagruel. But Zenozoik has a world that can hardly be compared to anything we know, and the inspirations reach further-- from prehistoric animals such as Deinotheriums and Entelodonts, to great glass bridges and robots that appear like somebody used Greek statues as children's mechanical toys.
    Greatly recommend looking into it.
But for now: Thank you again for your efforts and this video, and i wish you a lot of good for the new year. With joy, wisdom, wonder, strength and fortune wherever you can find, make, receive and share it.

Now I'm no Catholic myself, so this isn't straight from the source, but as I recall, La Divina Commedia was really a big old political "take that!" against various figures that Alighieri didn't like in the wake of his exile.
It really wasn't intended as religious scripture, hence why he borrowed most of it from Greek myth rather than Abrahamic traditions.
It's basically a medieval version of those lame political cartoons.
      But with way more effort.

I'll never quit shuddering at the amount of work you go through with each of these projects.
A mad lad in the best sense.

    Hi !!
Hope you’ve been doing well.. So glad to see a new video..I had been thinking about you just recently too…
I’ll enjoy this one with my morning coffee for sure..
I’ve personally kinda dropped out of the internet for about 6 months.. my father had a massive brain bleed and stroke, and it was a long few months of absolute chaos of two hour drives and care stuff.. in the beginning of the travel back and forth, someone stole my card number, so I’d had to shut down the one and wait for a new one..
so.. all my auto payments were shut down 🙄🤦‍♀️
Including YT and Patreon, nevermind utilities 🤯🤦‍♀️
Aaand I’m just now getting back to having the time and opportunity to start fixing life things and checking in on the things that were of interest to me before..
So happy to see that you’re making content and how well your channel has grown!!
I’ll get back to Patreon soon too, check up on you there..
    ATB! 🙂
Also.. my dad has made some incredible progress in recovery.. I’m so grateful..
    and..
his birthday is tomorrow, and I’m giving him your ‘Professional Bellend’ tshirt that I’d gotten before everything went sideways.. 😂
He’s going to love it.. he’s definitely not who he was ‘before’ .. but the core person is still the same and he’s got a fantastic sense of humor.. 🥰

I'm so sorry to hear this Ruth, that sounds like such a challenging time. I'm so glad to hear that your dad has made a strong recovery, and it absolutely lights up my heart to know he'll be getting that t-shirt! I am so grateful to you for your support, thank you so much. Wishing you and everyone you love the very best festive period. Sending loads of love and well wishes. Baz x 🫀

@ .. thank you Baz .. really..It’s been an insane year.. but things are slowly getting back to whatever ‘normal’ is 😉
And truly.. your art and videos really are just a joy.. something that’s appreciated, for its skill and the enjoyable break from everything else..
looking forward to the next one!
      😊😊

I’ve always loved esoteric art that looks like it’s been ripped from the pages of a necronomicon. Add 3D sculpturing and a brief history lesson and you’ve got yourself a kickass RUclips series. One of the best out there at the minute man, keep up the good work 🫡
