      I too miss TK and a lot of the fine, fine musicians who’ve left the band after his passing - but MOST of all, I miss the band not waiting for YEARS to go by to put out a new album. When they started out, it was at least one per year, and a few of them were DOUBLE RECORDS !
      This is GREAT !!!! Let’s get it on radio, fans.

    This has become one of my favorite songs. My late husband loved fireworks. He called me his little firecracker (for reasons best kept to he and I) and the ring tone on my phone is “bad to the bone”. He had his first heart attack unfortunately on our wedding day. However the ceremony was beautiful although we spent our honeymoon in hospital. He died of a massive heart attack 16 years later. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. He would have loved this song. Thank You Chicago. What a coincidence to hear this unusual song. We had a good marriage until the end.

    • @Hammer1126
      @Hammer1126 2 года назад +5

      @@billiondollarbaby3276 i disagree; Kath was a master of supporting track guitar work; he wasn't necessarily obsessed with being the lead of anything especially doing vocals; he liked laying down tracks that enhanced a song rather than overpowering a song; and lets face it there isn't a guitarist in the lineup that can do Kath Magic; as talented as Howland was he couldn't touch Kath and Dawayne Bailey was too much into emulating a Metal Guitarist and overplayed his instrument. ( he was also was a constant victim of bad engineering and mixing of his solo riff's). But this song is very good .

    • @JCNippert1
      @JCNippert1 2 года назад +2

      I have no idea whether or not TK would have approved or disapproved of this track. I am not sure that is relevant. What i find relevant is the transition of this band from a rock rhythm concept supported by horns to a pop rock horn band supported by rhythm instruments. My preference is the former, but that is just my preference. Regardless, one cannot challenge the Tom Brady-like ubiquity of this group. Although I prefer the hard, blues production of the band's early pieces, who is to judge what transforms men over the period of five decades. Like it, dislike it - enjoy it if the former; move on if the latter. Just my thoughts - see my previous sentence. I was very sad at TK's passing. I will be sad when CTA's time is finished, though its music was, is and will be a part of my life.

I love how the early Chicago albums were heavy on the horns and perfectly balancing the line of funk/soul, and rock. And it's great to hear that they still have that magical sound in 2022. Always loved Chicago especially the ''16'' & ''17'' albums. Whilst touring the States from north to south in 1990 ( I live in the UK) I happened via chance to see them live in concert at the Las Vegas Hilton hotel auditorium, Peter Cetera had left the band & was replaced by Jason Scheff, who was equally a great vocalist & they were just brilliant!!!!!! Heavy too!!! Its incredible that they are still producing fine music albeit with different members. What a band, what a treat!!!!!!

    This is definitely not the same CHICAGO! It's different❣️Take this S📀NG to me it has this sound and feel like "Joe Cocker's - You Can Leave Your Hat On" 🎩🎶 meets the Big Brassy Band Chicago. It's a real C👀L Blend! Kinda how they did that concert with 'Earth, Wind & Fire" it just creates this new sound and unexpected rhythm. 🎵Their classics are soulful, heartaching, and hauntingly beautiful, but I don't think most are really songs you can dance to! ;) Haha, they're touching and deep, but these are lighter and happier feeling! 🎶This whole album sounds great and you can move to,gr👀ve to and dance 💃to these freer, upbeat S💿NGS!🎵 Chicago's evolved in a G👀D Way with a new flavor that I really LIKE! 🔥😎💓👣💖🎶 😻

    Definitely sounds like an AM Radio mix. Would be nice to have a funkier Bass.

    Almost sounds like a collab between Chicago and Huey Lewis and the News. Love it! Pop Rock/Blue-eyed Soul goodness :D

      I like Huey Lewis and the News, but Chicago were making funky, soulful songs like this throughout the '70s, before Huey and the News got together. If you haven't heard the soulful side of Chicago, check out "It Better End Soon," "I Don't Want Your Money," "State of the Union," What's This World Coming To?," "Scrapbook," Taking It On Uptown," and many other songs!

      @@christianman73 Oh, I've heard every tune from the whole Chicago catalogue. Huey and the News are definitely a younger band were known to blend pop with old-school soul and R&B, basically what 70s groups like Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, to name a few have laid the foundation for. This new single has that blend of old soulful 70s Chicago with some modern sounds.

    Too bad this and "If this is Goodbye" are not getting much if any radio play. People don't even know Chicago is still around.
