- Parliament Session: Outer Manipur MP Alfred Kangam fiercely criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for not visiting Manipur amid ongoing ethnic violence. Alfred Kangam highlighted the contrast with Opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, who has visited the state thrice since the violence began. Biren Singh kept talking about double engine sarkar and he was arrogant about being a strong CM. Where was all of that when the violence started? Everyone in Manipur knows the conflict would not have escalated to this level had the CM made the effort. He should resign ASAP.
