I am amazed and even humbled by your committed work ethic, but I actually return to your channel because of your wonderful sense of humor. Blessings on your home, to be!
Marina, Illia is a genius and he is also a superhero (he doesn’t wear his cape while he’s working so it doesn’t get dirty)! Thank you for explaining how you put loose insulation behind the top row of bricks - I really wondered how to do that. I’m very happy the Catspector was on duty to make sure that everything was properly done!
Love the “look” of the Hemp blocks. This is the most interesting and enjoyable channel I watch from Arlington, Texas. Now you’ve gone from a demolition expert, to plumbing,to roofer, to rock/brick mason to….I’ve lost track and now to Hemp Mason. And Gardener. I’m very very impressed. Thank you👍👍👍
There is no mess, this is renovation of a historic house, now carefully tended into a home, and it's reflecting the creative process needed to have this happen and completed. No worries. Thanks for sharing your hard and dedicated work of your dream home, we appreciate it.
The top row of hemp blocks that touch the ceiling looked difficult to do, especially as you had to pack behind them with the hemp mixture. Well done Illia.
Illia and Marina, you are such hard workers, I enjoy watching you and your perfection.thanks for making my days interesting.Iam 75 and appreciate young peoples lust for life and family.🌻❤️🆒🥰☮️‼️🇺🇸
I am continually impressed not only by your work ethic but how you take on any job and do it so well. Fascinating watching you install the hemp blocks.
Watching you fulfill your commitment to restoring your old Belgium home, whilst your Ukrainian homeland is being torn apart with weapons of war, breaks my heart. Your efforts to build are the opposite of such destruction. It warms the cockles of my heart to see your painstaking effort build your future, and it gives us all hope.
Congrats on getting a wall completed. And nice to have your wife helping you so much. Makes it so you don't have to climb up and down so much. That is certainly going to be a very warm house when it's all done.
Watching you fill behind that top row gave me an idea. If you place the top row bricks on their side, slide them all the way to the wall, and then trim them like a capstone then you won't need to fill behind them, just mortar them in place. Should have the same insulation effect and be way faster.
Illia seems to figure out how to work in difficult situations. Kind of genius how he does that! So glad your're making progress even if it is slow. We're all cheering you on. Too bad we can't be there to give a helping hand. Take care and thanks for another video!
I can honestly say that I wouldn't have known about this product ever. Living in the USA I've never heard of this product. This is y I love to watch when people redo, renovate, restore, properties all over the world. cuz you get different ideas and different ways of doing things. Ways that are not widely known of.
Молодцы ребята, классно получается. Смотрю и радуюсь за Вас. Вы дружные и сплочённые. Желаю Вам исполнения всех желаний. Спасибо за подробные видео всего ремонта.
And that's how this farmhouse transformation will be achieved - by not going home but by finishing that other bit too! I see all this and think of all that is happening g in the world and you have restored your home to be warm, light and with so many extras most of which will go unseen. I do hope you can move in this year. You are fantastic.
I'm Brazilian and the beautiful couple inspired me to subscribe to the channel. I will follow this one, beautiful endeavor! All the best for you and for those you love!
The grand master is continuing his work! Great to have help from the wife, her efforts are always appreciated. And who can forget your supervisor, Annika? The homestead is being brought back to life day to day. Love these videos!
I remember what it used to be but I have forgotten what it’s going to be. Anxiously waiting for a finished room where on rainy days you can have a beer room. I think Illia could use a neck and shoulder massage. Excited for next week.
Illia IS a genius builder, engineer, architect; Marina IS a wonderful, helper, insulation installer, videographer, out of this world morale booster. Catspector is a gentle, constant, respectful observer, companion, friendly stress reliever. What a fantastic, creative, hard-working team you are. Pretty sure most if not all viewers of your renovation journey are consistently amazed at your achievements. Soldier on, like your musical opening. ❤️❤️❤️💪💪💪🐈⬛🤗🙂
Team work at its best. Illia seriously needs a neck and back massage now more then ever what with having to keep his head tilted like that for two days. Hope you know a good masseuse lol. As always loved the vid and the farm has definitely come a long way.
This video is the perfect example of team work! You two work so well together and rarely complain!! God bless you. 🍻🌻 p.s. I wish I could show you our rural region of Wisconsin, U.S.A. People have planted sun flowers in their gardens in support of Ukraine. I know people throughout North America have done this! 🌻
Illia you are a master of all trades. The walls look straight and sturdy. Thank you so much for my learning experience. Go home, clean up and enjoy your wine or beer. Well deserved. See you next week.
I have an eclectic selection of videos I watch. Yours, by far, are the most enjoyable! Wonderful editing and music choices to accompany your hard work.
12 years ago, I renovated an old farm building (a silkworm farm) with a similar technique. The "Chanvribloc" blocks were more friable and I used common plaster as a binding mortar. But unlike you I did not fill the space between the wall and the blocks with hemp. Indeed, this air gap can be integrated in the insulation calculation if its thickness is less than 2 to 3 cm. I used this space to pass data cables, electrical cables and plumbing. This made it easier for me to make the modifications to the room that I did in 2020. Finally, I suggest that you do not tamp the hemp into the space between the wall and the blocks. You will use less hemp and insulation will be better because there will be more air.
💕The hemp insulation wall is a great idea but it is thick making the rooms smaller💕Could the be made slimmer be cutting the depth of them in half for internal walls💕Or in passage/hallways💕
Thank you for posting and sharing. It is looking great, and I am sure the home will be cozy and warm as a result of all your hard work putting in the insulation!
Once again we have to tell you how much we admire your work ethic, perseverance, stamina and determination to press on in spite of the daunting amount of work!!!! Amazing!!!! Also, what is your apparel sizing chart based on? EU, UK, US?
Glad to see the inspector is still on the job. Also wanted to mention to Illia that I don't remember his hair being gray when you first started working on the farm. Just saying 😅😂🤣.
Have you considered a time capsule in the wall for the future family's to discover. And then leave information for it in the house deeds. Great show and keep up the great DIY (design it yourself).
This is quickly becoming a favorite channel for us. We like that you work hard until each job is completed. Your ideas for the renovation are smart. Your family is nice. What's not to like? 😀
That was great Illia and Mariana you did an outstanding job and a great video can't wait for next one thank you for sharing and your time was really great never miss a video thank you.
I can't help but admire the work you both are doing. The work seems to be all physical labour without machines to make life easier (other than the cement mixer) Keep up the good work and all your efforts will be rewarded at the end of the renovation.
Well done getting the blocks in you two. A good tip with the mixer is use a round plastic dustbin lid. They're made to take a lid now and stops dust or getting wet if left in rain
Step by step you are making progress! It looks like there was another window on back wall that was bricked up. Wow! What a lot of work to finish these walls! Illia, you need a massage or something! Do you have to also put this insulation on the outside walls upstairs? If so, you definitely need to get a massage! It's a good thing you love this house since it requires so much effort! But it will be worth it in the end! Great job!
When you work at the window, you always start with a short piece. Then you put a long piece. I recommend starting one layer with a short piece and the next one with a long piece. Like a normal wall. It will be more durable this way
At every opportunity, you do things the best possible way. All your hard work will last for many generations to come!
One day you will be sitting and relaxing in your beautiful new home, and winter or summer you will be comfortable and think it was worth the effort!
These are building solutions i have never seen before
I'm with Illia, there is no substitute for the right tool! You both are amazing doing all this work yourselves. Bravo!
I am amazed and even humbled by your committed work ethic, but I actually return to your channel because of your wonderful sense of humor. Blessings on your home, to be!

Lots of progress, but no matter how small or big the project it is "work" and takes time! I look forward to your new postings.
There is no mess, this is renovation of a historic house, now carefully tended into a home, and it's reflecting the creative process needed to have this happen and completed. No worries. Thanks for sharing your hard and dedicated work of your dream home, we appreciate it.
I finally understand the expression "a labor of love". Your family provides the labor and we provide the love! Thanks for sharing!
I had never heard of that kind of insulation, I find it fascinating and should be wonderful when it's done.
TELL EVERYBODY HELLO, LOOKS GREAT, SEE YOU ALL NEXT WEEK, GREAT VIDEO...
The top row of hemp blocks that touch the ceiling looked difficult to do, especially as you had to pack behind them with the hemp mixture. Well done Illia.

Ta Da! First wall is done 💪🎖💪
🐼 Big Panda Bear Hugs from a 68 yr old grandma in Texas, USA 🐼 ❤ 🎀 👍
I'm so impressed Illia. That is such labour intensive, repetitive work but you just keep on with such patience! Well done!

It's going to be so cosy in winter. ❤
That is going to be the coolest or the warmest room in the house.
I’ve never seen so much insulation used in one room.
😀😀😀😀
Easy but, time consuming and uncomfortable at times. Glad to see the progress. It would be nice to see one room completed in it's entirety.
I really admire the skills that both you and Illia have developed over the time that you both started the renovations of your farm. Great work!!!!!
Excellent work. Great teamwork. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
I remember what it used to be but I have forgotten what it’s going to be. Anxiously waiting for a finished room where on rainy days you can have a beer room. I think Illia could use a neck and shoulder massage. Excited for next week.
You will not regret doing this. Well worth the effort and discomfort. Will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, comfort sliding into the house.. You're gonna be so fulfilled from all the work.

"Teamwork makes the dream work" and y'all are definitely a team with a beautiful dream. Great videos.
That is an amazing amount of work. I hope you had time to sit for dinner and have a nice cup of coffee at the end.
It's hard work but it wil last forever. Respect for you !!!👍👍👍
Sehr gut! Es geht voran.
So very well done again! Nearly time for a beer again I think ❤️

This video is the perfect example of team work! You two work so well together and rarely complain!! God bless you. 🍻🌻

Your sweat equity in this project is so impressive. It truly indicates the level of your dedication to restore the buildings and use best practices.
He seems to be making love to the hemp bricks!
Illia really ties this video together with his bits of comedy. Great work to the both of you and the inspector!
Illia you are a master of all trades. The walls look straight and sturdy. Thank you so much for my learning experience. Go home, clean up and enjoy your wine or beer. Well deserved. See you next week.

Turning the blocks at windows makes them into archers windows ala castles
Also turning them helps spread the daylight into house.
DIY is always nice but off course the presence of the woman gives it the gentle soft touch. Use this as an advantage.
One wall done. 🎊🎉🎊🎉💥
Also when I see a new video of yours I just tell “DE HOEVE” and my husband knows he won’t see me for 20 ish min.
Hats off to your hard work and persistence. I wish you all the best in your farm renovations. You guys are awesome!!!
That looks very hard on Ilya. Wish you had more help.
Wow...by the time it's finished, the house is like a fortress! Amazing 👏🙀
Really taking shape!

It looks amazing!! One step closer.
You two are an incredible couple.

Nice job! Marina I totally agree a with you about men and their “toys”! Lol Take care
Glad to see the inspector is still on the job. Also wanted to mention to Illia that I don't remember his hair being gray when you first started working on the farm. Just saying 😅😂🤣.
Such admiration for your hard work, Illya.
It’s amazing as to what you and your husband have accomplished. This home will be amazing and just that more special to both of you. Bravo you two💕💕💕
You will be able to heat that house with the candle as well insulated as it's going to be. You guys are doing a great job and work very hard.
eline emeğine sağlık bu güzel vlog için kolay gelsin hayırlı işler....👍👍👍👍
Thumbs up to both of you for all the hard and inconvenient work required to get the last row up!👍🏻👏🏻Have a beer now🍻
Have you considered a time capsule in the wall for the future family's to discover. And then leave information for it in the house deeds.
Great show and keep up the great DIY (design it yourself).
They already cached a time capsule underneath the floor... If you missed it, you can check out episodes 61 and 62.
Top gedaan het ziet er goed uit geweldig 👌👏🤩
This is quickly becoming a favorite channel for us. We like that you work hard until each job is completed. Your ideas for the renovation are smart. Your family is nice. What's not to like? 😀
Have to say those insulation blocks look good. Should make for a nice, flat finish inside.
That was great Illia and Mariana you did an outstanding job and a great video can't wait for next one thank you for sharing and your time was really great never miss a video thank you.
Illia you make this look easy!
I can't help but admire the work you both are doing. The work seems to be all physical labour without machines to make life easier (other than the cement mixer) Keep up the good work and all your efforts will be rewarded at the end of the renovation.
