This is a perversion of the justice system. Anna Wolfe should not have her head on the block for doing her job to the best of her ability.
Heads wull roll
Southern.
The easy answer is for her to not print things that aren't facts.
Truth doesn't make money
@@kelperdudeFunds intended to feed some of the nation’s poorest people instead went to build a volleyball court at USM. The facts are not in question.
77 Million dollars stolen from poorest Mississippians! 😢
@carrolabrams2659 What? They should be in jail, and every person affected should access the volleyball arena and that horse ranch for parties and meetings. An event center.
Bigotry planning.
Women and children. Yet they are “ pro life”🙄

How about our citizens, like our vets, that get nothing while joe gives everything to the people he has coming in?
In his mind, ordinary citizens has no rights to questions public officials. If anyone dare to cross the line, he/she must ready to paid a price. He said in the full interview that he’s after $. I bet he wants to bankrupt the newspaper and put journalist in jail.
What an A*hole!😡

Mississippi is one poor state. Simply put they send in what bits of money they got and the US government turns around and sends them more money and that money comes courtesy of richer states. The Governor should drop the case and get to work. His intentions look malevolent. Sorry if he is busy being embarrassed but he should focus on reparations to the very poor in his State. That’s what the US Government intended it for, the very poor. Shame on Brett Favre. He asked if “they” will find out, it was recorded.
Anna Wolfe deserves a commendation, and Favre/Bryant deserve to be exiled to a supermax.

Favre technically didn't break the law. However, his actions demonstrate that he is morally and ethically bankrupt. Also, let's not forget he is a monumental hypocrite who is a very vocal fiscal conservative.

I don't think he knew where the money came from.
It's disgusting that someone with as much money as Brett Favre would be involved with stealing public money. He is no hero.
But at one point, he was really good at throwing a ball, so maybe give him a break?
Nope there's a reason people from his hometown tell others to always check your wallet, rings, watches and count your fingers after shaking hands with any member of the Farve family!
These politicians are killing truth.
Governor knew about this ...
On his watch, his responsibility!!
@ms.5779
Apparently, it has been a tradition for some time.
Question is how much did he pocket?
Interesting you should ask. His emails as governor show one of Farve's friend's companies to which the state gave money was set to hire the governor the day after he left office. But this story broke so he ran away
@@lightwillprevail Not only knew, he approved of diverting the funds.
This sets a dangerous precedent. She should not be threatened with jail for speaking truth.
I was born in Mississippi, and was a citizen of Mississippi for 44 years, this story makes me proud to be a German citizen now. There are lots of good people living in Mississippi, but many government officials are not good people. They are the reason Mississippi is the poorest in the nation, and is last or near last place in most other categories.
Elijah?
Do you ever write articles for news in Mississippi?
Shame on you involving welfare’s money as a Governor. Corruption is everywhere.
If there was any justice Brett Favre would be living in a tent city by Christmas
I agree.
Why are red states in the south the poorest states in the nation? Poverty seems like a tradition in those states.
BECAUSE THE CORRUPT DEMOCRATS KEEP THE MONEY FOR THEMSELVES IN DC.. THE MATH IS PRETTY SIMPLE.....
They are all welfare states. They need California and New York's money to even exists. Furthermore, they want people to be poor and uneducated because they need a slave labor force in that part of the country.
The usual suspects. Not to bright are you James Smith.
and get the most from the federal government..I think the problem is that they just keep voting against their interest..if all the so call blue states secede from the union what would happens to Mississippi,Alabama etc?
Hey now poor people are just as bright and just as talented as white people. The big guy taught me that.
He needs to repay the money and spend time in prison. He should also be removed from The Hall of Fame.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the exact definition of embezzlement, as opposed to "diversion of funds," or "misappropriation of funds," which is what Bryant and Favre actually did.
Brett Favre Also asked about using prison labor to build tennis facilities at his daughter's college:
1. “I’m still trying to save money on [the] Vball facility."
2. Favre suggested “the prison industry possibly as a builder.”
Lock up the reporter, but Brett Farve is free as a bird. This makes no sense 😕

THE VOLLEY BALL ARENA SHOULD BE RE-NAMED (AT FARVE'S EXPENCE) TO: "THE BRETT FARVE, STOLE MONEY TO NAME THIS ARENA"
Bret Farve and each of those involved should be held accountable for stealing that money by diverting it.

Remember that one! Watched it with my older brother when we were kids.
Save Anna and Mississippi Today!
I have wondered about this case because it has not been in the news. Yes, it falls under his power being the governor but I am sure that welfare funds should not be going to projects like that. If a poor Black woman was buying a Cadillac with the funds she would be the poster child for why the system is wrong and they would want to lock her up. What rationale did the governor give for allocating welfare money to those other projects. Now, he wants to prosecute this woman and he wants her sources so he can know the Whistleblowers to retaliate against them. That's a Trump move! Project 2025 will make events like this happen all the time by shutting down the Free Press and going after their sources. The U.S. will be another Russia and North Korea.
Or modern jim Crow !
Why is Brett Favre not in prison?

Brett Favre was not a government official, it was government officials that directed the use of the funds.

Republican Criminality again.? Seems to be a pattern.
'the free press is essential for the working of a free society' so is the legal system! one has a right to appeal for redress of a wrong one believes was done to them before a court of law
@robertstan2349 In Project 2025, there is an agency that is set up to manage the media. Read it, and if Trump's elected, those choices you mentioned will be a thing of the past.
