      @@aaronclark4959 you're not that wrong, however if you had a small guard on this it would be very good. Especially for metal and circuit boards. It would certainly be better at said tasks then a jigsaw...

      @@aaronclark4959 or know the bloody thing is dangerous and take precautions.
      it's fairly good for small stuff where a jigsaw or a dremel isn't ideal, try cutting a 50mm pcb with a jigsaw.

    Thank you for sharing. This would be an amazingly practical tool for a hobbyist that would not take much space and would not put the fingers at risk as much as a regular circular saw. You put a lot of skill into making this and it looks very well planned in its construction.

    I appreciate the extra little touches you did on this project, like the dust chamber, sleeving the electrical connections, countersinking etc. It would be easy to just ignore these for a hobby project but you didn't. Nice work.

    I like it!
    I've been needing a small saw like this to cut small pieces for some of my projects. Very creative!
    I'll be making my own custom toothpicks soon. No more of those commercial grade picks from retail stores! LOL!

    Instead of using the ruler each time, id mark on the board from the saw length so you could just adjust it each time instead of measuring both sides each time

    This is very cool. I see some significant runout in that drill while using the Forstner bit though.

    Nice! I particularly like the variable power supply which is not really necessary as you are controlling the speed with a PWM circuit. Any laptop power supply would work.

    I think there's a niche for it in small form factor that can fit in a drawer and low priced at around 20 USD for fine craft hobby stuff work. Table saw is really useful.

    Just to mention: you missed out to link to the ball bearings and the power supply in the link list. And the bearings mentioned in the video are IMO too big. I think you rather used F625ZZ?
    Can you please comment on screws used and size of table top please?

    I think if the blade shaft went all the way through the box (the shaft mounted on bearings) with a dremel coupling on the outside of the box, it would be a lot easier to make and more versatile.

    Looks good, I think I'd like it without the motor, but with the axle sticking out so I can attach a drill to it. Would be great for cutting down the length of plastic architrave or trim.

    Perfect. Cost of tools to make it would be too much though. Buy a roto zip instead, maybe make a little table for it? Then you can cut ceramic tiles and make circular holes

    one tip, if I may - please use a contrasting text color during the video white text against your pale work area doesn't show up very well, and it actually took me several minutes to notice it was even there. otherwise, I applaud your DIY spirit.

    Great work! Anyway, I guess you should make an emergency stop button. It doesn't matter what size the device, it can do a lot of damage in case of some sh*t happens.
