Your kits are way better than drumtec sounds. Thanks for your great work!
Wow, thank you 🙏
Fantastic addition to this module. Great work!
I will tell any owners of the strike module, this snare sample pack is AMAZING, literally the best one on my module, (stock 1.50v). If you want quality, cracking snares and probably best Xstick I’ve found, buy this pack. I can’t say enough about how good it sounds. So happy with my purchase that his BDrum sample pack is my next purchase! The zip file is super organized, so easy to use and just all around best 30$ I’ve ever spent on gear 😂😂😂😂😂
Wow, thank you so much! 🙏😁 I'm really glad you like it!
Nice job! I jumped right on it and downloaded. Can't wait to get to my kit and play with them! Thank you!!
Thank you for your support! 🙏
The snare sounds great but omg those toms!
I have no issues with the Strike hats. It's the best e kit I feel I enjoy the most. I've had the 50's & Mimic. There is someone else on RUclips who returned his Mimic module in favor of sticking with the STRIKE. Killer sounding snare will give it some thought. Hope all is well mate!
If it works best for you, stick with it! Thank you 🙏 Hope you're well too!
Cool great sounds for the price. Now with the pack does it also set my snare triggers? I don't like my snare settings. It would be awesome if the sounds also come set up.
This is amazing. I’m really interested in stuff like this. So does Alesis give any info on how many mb each of their kits is in the strike? Or how many layers /RR there is per drum?
What would it take to say clear the memory of a module like the millennium mps1000 and replace all the on board kits with just 1 well recorded multi level kit?
Those samples sound killer. What is that 2 piece hihat? I don't recognize it from your other videos?
Thank you! 🙏 It's the Lemon LE-HHC12 hi-hat. I was planning on reviewing it by now but I had an issue with the controller (then it turns out all of them had an issue and they've worked on a fix). Full review will come out once I've received a replacement cable part.
Wow, sounds great! If I end up with a Strike Pro module I'm in! Are you using the Alesis hi hats or Yamaha? Any problems with triggering?
Thank you! It's available for the Strike, Mimic and the 2Box modules too!
I'm using a Lemon LE-HHC12 in this video. There has been an issue with it that I've used a workaround for here, that'll be fully explained in my review when they send me a replacement part to fit. Otherwise, it's been very reliable as a Roland clone. I've not tried it with my Strike natively though, I'm triggering everything with my Mimic for this video and sending MIDI to the other modules (Strike and 2Box DrumIt 5 MKII).
Is this the same snare that's on the eDW house kit on the kit for the 50x? Love that snare.
Yeah, it's the same snare but a different set of samples!
Will you be converting these samples to the 2box Drummit5 MK2? Sounds great.
Thanks! It's already available for the 2Box modules, I just didn't want to flood everyone with multiple videos in one day! Here's the 2Box video link - ruclips.net/video/wuqEN0els6M/видео.html
And the product page - theedrumworkshop.com/products/pp13x7-kits-2box
The kit presets will work if you still have the DrumIt 5 MK2 stock sounds on your SD card, or there's a link to a version without the presets!
Is this a free download? And do I download this right to the strike module? How do I get this to the strike see module? Thank you.
No, it's not a free download. It can be bought here - theedrumworkshop.com/collections/strike-kits
You will need to put it on the module's SD card by either using an SD card reader or transferring the files with a USB A-B cable from a computer. There are full installation instructions included with the download. Or you can watch this video which explains most of the steps (it shows the Instruments and Samples folders, but this download will also contain a "Kits" folder which needs to be added too) - ruclips.net/video/vHhjj5hKL6g/видео.html
What brand are the toms you are using?
luke how many layers did you have to record inorder to make playing this sample seemless without machine gunning? especially concerning positional sensing?
Hi Bruce! The full version of the snare that is included with the Mimic or as the "Max" version on the Strike is using -
10 layers with 7 round robins on the snare head
9 layers + 7RR (minus 1 sample on the lowest velocity) on the rimshot
9 layers & 6RR on the head side and on the rim shot side
5 layers with 6RR on both the cross-stick and rim click.
300 samples total (that's the max for the Mimic Instrument Editor).
That's the version of the snare used for all of the Mimic demos and for the intro of the Strike video. For the Strike, I've got "Lite" versions of each instrument that saves space (there's a 200mb limit on kit sizes with the Strike before it starts dropping sample layers). I think I cut the head down to 7 layers with 4 round robins. Can't remember all of the articulations' numbers off the top of my head. But the playability is still good with the cut down version and that's the one used in all of the full kit demos on the Strike video. You can't tell the difference in a normal playing scenario, really. I think if I went lower than that, that's when it would start being more audible.
Oh and for positional sensing, as you can see from the above, I have different numbers of layers and round robins for the head side compared to the head center and it doesn't affect playability. If you went too far apart with it, it might become more obvious.
Is there a way to upload your own multi layered samples into the Roland TM6 Pro module or Alesis Strike Pro module?
Trying to figure out how to create the most realistic samples when playing multiple velocities.
The Alesis Strike module, yes. There's an editor for it that lets you make multilayer instruments - that's what I used for these.
The TM-6 Pro can only load single samples and layer a maximum of two so you're not going to get the full range out of that. It has some V-Drums instruments in it too that you can use as one of the layers then put a one-shot sample over it, but it's not really the same thing.
@@TheeDrumWorkshop Thank you so much for this information and taking the time out to reply!
I am trying to learn the way of hybrid drumming to enhance kick and snare sounds live. (Roland TM 6 Pro)
I like to practice on the Alesis Strike Pro.
Sounds like I'll be spending some time creating and blending files!
Sounds spd 30 octaped install? Can you do spd 30 sound setting fx eq video too?
This can't be used on the SPD-30 Octapad, no. And unfortunately I don't have an Octapad anymore so I can't make any videos about it, sorry!
este sonido es el que busco para esta bateria alesis pro
Hey, how can I get this sound?
There's a link in the description to my store to download it!

Isn't 30 GBP a bit steep for just snare samples? Drum tec sells packs of 30 full kits for 48? Or GGD drums one kit wonder kits are $50 USD
It's not just snare samples, they're in a format that will work with your module without any user effort (other than dragging and dropping files) along with different microphone mixes and kit presets that are ready to use with minimal fuss. As far as I'm aware, drum-tec's kits are just using stock sounds, possibly a few one-shot samples. I will likely have Strike kits available in the future that are similar to theirs which would be lower in price (along the same lines as my kits for other modules).
GGD is pretty cheap as far as VSTs go, sure! Their eDrum integration isn't the best but if you're happy to spend the time setting it up and be tethered to a computer, or to spend the time extracting the samples to make Strike instruments, then that might be a better option for you. I take the work out of that which makes my kits a more valuable proposition for some people, but might not be for everyone.
FAR OUT !!
