leave it parked somewhere where its illegal to park, and wait for the tow to arrive. would be fun to see a normal tow truck blow the winch triying to lift this car!!! or the clutch also haha
A tow truck wouldn't blow a clutch on that. The cars total weight is probably around 3-4 tons or 6 to 8,000 lbs, which is roughly the average weight of a full size van/suv/pickup. At least older ones from the 90s.
My friend, it seems you've got it backwards. Acceleration is what'd cause the neck snapping. Momentum (more accurately, mass), which is a component of momentum) is the enemy of acceleration. :)
You, comrade, will cement your place in history as the first and last person to show concrete proof that the Lada is a badass car. The tires didn’t even pop. Nice job.
I love this channel. It keeps answering questions nobody asks and proves how tough a car can be. Cause, if you ignore the excessiveness, most of this does happen in real life. Cars being overloaded, driving without an oil change, shifting from Drive to Reverse, or Park while driving, driving on the starter motor, putting in the wrong fluids, wrong fuel all kinds of abuse. Makes me feel proud my W203 has seen no abuse at all. Closest thing she has seen to very hard driving is a top speed run on the Autobahn (once).
yeah but this is an old soviet lada with a 1.5L engines. Those soviet things are indestructible. Usually poor people just pour used vegetable oil in the fuel tank and it has no issue for 300K miles. It's fuel consuming and destroys the environment but it just refuses to break.
Idk who lied to you but after 150k kilometers those engines just die even if they're maintained perfectly. There are thousands of them over where I live and I know many people who have them. They're garbage
No, it would have given up very soon after the video ended. You know life goes on after they stop filming, right? I'd be surprised if it would make 100 miles like this
As i sit here watching this, i can't believe the rear tires are Still holding Air, this car is actually driving under it's own power, & the frame hasn't snapped, even after 5 TONS of Concrete has been poured into it! Makes me think: They sure don't build them like THAT anymore....
Partly because russian tires are always hard as hell, like rock. Thus they are bad in wet conditions but in general, very durable. We used to get a lot of them here in Hungary.
The improved grip due to added weight should be beneficial in terms of straight-line acceleration and also cornering ability. If it wasn't for the exorbitant cost of concrete, I'm sure that almost everyone would perform this mod to their cars in order to enjoy the performance and aesthetic enhancements therein.
The road was less than ideal for this experiment. :D I appreciate your determinations but it would've been enough to fill the car with gravel or sand for the same amount of load while having the ease to salvage the poor thing from being a concrete brick.

These cars are very easy to work on. You MUST be a mechanic or have money to pay a mechanic to constantly work on it. Ladas do require constant repairs although they tend to be more reliable than other Russian brands. Also, forget about crash safety because there is none. BTW, there are a few Ladas in the US. That car is made to take a rear end collision nicely now
very useful especially in Russia.
It'd break both drivers Necks since there's no longer a crush zone
But it's a lot heavier now so has lots of momentum to keep from snapping the occupants necks.

That's because it takes one half of a T-34 tank to make one Lada sedan. The steel was stretched and pummeled into a greater density in the process.
