half and half OR heavy cream OR milk (start with a cup)

350 in oven for 20 minutes

To be fair even bad mac and cheese tastes really fucking good. Aswell as most other cheese based foods(grilled cheese, nachos, pasta based dishes)

I have been making macaroni and cheese for years....Mother and Grandmother style. Using egg, butter, milk and etc. In the house of however, I tried your recipe today for the first time and we fell IN LOVE! It was really good. The only difference was I used 4 cheeses(4 style Mexican blend, mozzarella, sharp and colby) and I cooked it on 400 for 20 minutes. THANK YOU SO MUCH for introducing us to another style of making homemade macaroni and cheese!❤😁👍🏾

What amounts did you use lovey?
@@Justagorl 1 pint heavy cream, 1 stick butter, 1 8oz bag of mozzarella, 1 8oz bag of sharp cheddar, 1 8oz bag of Monterey Jack. Use half of the amount of each cheese for sauce, and the other half for the top of the Mac and cheese when you bake it.

I made this recipe for thanksgiving and my husband’s Hispanic family just tore it up girl 🤣 little did they know I was stressing myself out in the kitchen hoping it would come out right lol.
Her personality is awesome!! I love how she blessed her food. The face she made knowing it’s too hot, but you eat it anyway because you know you stuck your foot in it ❤️❤️😂😂 then the dance she did after that was priceless and something I’d do 👀😂

Okay I tried your recipe!!! I used milk instead of heavy cream because that’s what I already had in my fridge (should have used heavy cream) lol but it turned out really good...and that was my first time making it so thank you!!😊😊

I love greyure, extra sharp cheddar and WHITE cheddar. It’s the best blend 🥰
Followed this recipe twice and it’s always come out bomb.
Only things I do different:
- use 4-5 cheeses
- I don’t have SYM seasoning so I use my own other seasonings
- in addition to heavy cream, I will use a little sour cream and whole milk to the roux to make sure it gets to a certain consistency that I like after adding the cheeses
- I layer Mac and cheese and shredded cheese in my pan.. only once though, unless you’re making a lot then you can do two layers
- I season my pasta with pepper and adobo after it’s been drained
I’ve since been crowned the new queen of Mac and cheese in the family. :)

Princess Consuela Bananahammock yes! I used what we had in the house so I used milk and Colby jack and Monterey jack . Next time I’d use heavy cream and different cheese probably :) but I seasoned it with creole seasoning and garlic salt and pepper . Super good
