An album that never disappoints, never grows old….36 years since it first blew me away and it still hits the spot every time……and you MUST listen to it all the way from beginning to end, with no distractions 😊 Jesus we had it good back then huh?
No video has ever sold an entire album like this one did...it was epic and immediately fostered demand for the rest of the album's videos. Thanks for sharing the up-conversion.
I LOVE what you're doing. I also would like to see if you can upscale this video: Queensrÿche - Take Hold of the Flame (Live in Tokyo) THAT WOULD BE THE BEST!

Thanks! There is no one size fits all solution for every video, each one has to be adjusted individually. I don't have a super-secret source for source videos, I just keep looking until I find the best work copy I can. From there, it's downloaded and uncompressed with Shutter Encoder. Then it's off to DaVinci Resolve Studio for the first step, going through it frame by frame, removing any black specks or splotches (dust on the film during filming) or white specks (dust in the film during processing). Depending on the size of the source file, it may or may not get it's first superscale here. It's then exported in a lossless codec where I import the file into Topaz Video AI. Here there's a lot of trial and error with different AI models (generally Iris or Proteus) and diving into the manual settings, tweaking until I get a good result. It's then exported from Topaz in a lossless codec and imported back to Resolve. Once back there, I go scene by scene, using Power Windows and lens blur plugins to tweak any places where the AI got "overenthusiastic" by trying to add details that weren't actually there and therefore look too unnatural. A second Dust Buster pass is also done here to hopefully catch any specks I missed the first time around. I then re-add the film grain that was lost during the original upload and my editing process using BCC Film Grain. I add the old MTV style titles and then upload the restored video in a near lossless codec to RUclips. Some rights holders allow this, some instantly block it from being viewed. So BEFORE I spend hours on restoration, I upload a short test clip to see if it'll get blocked - no sense doing the work if no one will see it. Hope this helps.
@@CrosscutFilmsSask That's great Man! You indeed do an amazing job with these restorations and by Far are the best I've seen 😍, thanks for ALL the info. I don't know If I Will ever do any restoration whatsoever, but I do find It amazing and have a huge admiration for talented people like yourself in doing ALL that amount of work and release It for people to enjoy. Absolutely Love It. Thank you Very much again and please continue with the great job! Ps1: Do you "restore" the audio as well? Ps2: yeah "blocking" sucks 💩
Mindcrime was one of the greatest albums in history; Geoffs voice, and de garmo's guitar sound
And Eddie Jackson's bass tone was killer.
The whole band was on point. Besides Geoff, I'm impressed by the drumming.

I only got to know Queensryche in 2022 during the pandemic, oh Man I became instantly a fan. ❤

Scott's percussion was special and ahead of its time.

Straight jacket memories, sedative highs.....great band that had their own niche back in the heavy metal heyday. One of a kind. Thank you! :)
I have Never Seen the Eyes Of A Stranger video this Crisp and Clear before!
One of the best bands and albums ever!

If possible, please make a "making of" video of how you restore these videos. They look and sound amazing! ❤ Thanks again

"Thinking Man's Metal", the magazines of the '80s described Queensryche.
Can you upscale the live version of Queensrÿche suite sister Mary?
The band can continue with the same name, but THIS was Queensryche.
