+Jack Torrance Well in TES universe glass armor from what I know is made from volcanic glass not regular soo that can be thing that gives sense to a glass armor sets and glass weapons
+Привал славных путников It's a bit more than volcanic glass like we have on Earth. Malachite is much stronger than any metal on Nirn, but also more brittle and therefore is canonically used to stud moonstone (which is actually metal, despite the name) armor. Ebony is also a glass, but is also literally the crystalline blood of the Missing God Lorkhan that flows out from his heart, the Red Mountain of Morrowind. Forging ebony armor is supposed to be incredibly difficult because of its glasslike properties, which is why it takes such a high skill requirement to make in Elder Scrolls games.
My favorite armor is the Imperial heavy armor. I completed the whole game without dying using it, (On Legendary difficulty). Weapons i used were Imperial sword and Imperial bow. I only used healing spells and i didnt do speedrun, i played it slowly.
He actually couldn't have because the imperial armor in skyrim is much more Roman based whereas the imperial guard armor looks much more like a Medieval armor, and therefore count as two entirely different armor sets
Zachary Kelly no you’re very wrong because both the imperial city guards armor and the imperial armor in Skyrim are IMPERIAL (same empire) The only difference is that it is 100 years or so between the two eras.
Dillon Reynolds stop saying that the armor is based on some type of historical armor! Elder scrolls is it’s own universe! All the armor in elder scrolls is based on armor from earlier eras in the elder scrolls universe!
Definitely needs another video including the Legion armour from oblivion, stormcloak armour from skyrim, etc etc. I feel a lot more effort went into these specific faction armours. Maybe even compare city guard armours between skyrim and oblivion? Brilliant video nonetheless and I do feel hardcore for watching it all..
+SkinnyRiverArtist thank you so much for watching it all, I have actually made a video were I talk about the two factions, imperials and stoarmcloaks but yes many more Oblivion/skyrim videos coming mate :D
SkinnyRiverArtist Italy, but I don't have a typical Italian accent when I speak English because I learnt English in England when I was very young, so it's probably a bit of a mixed accent with English being the basis ;)
I thought that exactly! Should have mentioned it when I asked the question, I'd have looked a genius.. Thanks for the response again man, nice to see a youtuber that interacts with his audience. Also, are you into larp or reenactment etc??
SkinnyRiverArtist Mamma mia :D my pleasure, thank you for your time watching the video and commenting. I tryed larp but don't like it, and I would be very interested in reenactment but I don't know of any groups in my area ;)
+Erkut Erdem With smithing you can make it powerful. But honestly, unless I'm roleplaying, I skip straight to steel as early as level 2. No use stagnating on one set.

+Buffalo Ruffalo Yeah, you are right usually i use drop armors if you kill the Hunter behind the Guardian stones three thugs sent by the "Hunter" attacks you when you are still in Riverwood and voila profit.
Hey Metatron, on the Steel Plate Armor in Skyrim, you mentioned how it looked like the inside of the arms looked a little unprotected. But when I wore that armor, it looked like thick clothing of some kind, possibly a gambeson (though I never heard of that clothing item's name until recently). Do you think there's a chance it MIGHT actually be a gambeson?
Note that in earlier Elder Scrolls games the armor was by piece. You had gauntlets, pauldrons includes vambraces, helmets, cuirass, boots (lower legs and feet) and greaves (waist and upper legs). All the armor pieces can be interchangeable regardless of type. This makes for some god awful piece mail.
The Ebony armor in Skyrim is probably the most protective metal-based armor you can have in any fantasy game. Not only is it covering EVERYTHING, but it's not overly bulky. I can't remember if ebony is an actual metal in the real world, but if it isn't, it looks like the armor is made of steel plate and stained black.
Nice video, again making want to play my modded Skyrim. Favourite for has to be Daedric Armour because it looks ominous and evil and I always go for the Dark Overlord vibe.
I was really hoping to see you talk about the Legion armor from Oblivion. You know, the one on the cover. I really, really like that armor. It's Tough, Heavy, and would make any soldier of the Empire a tough nut to crack. I was disappointed when they completely changed it for Skyrim. Not to mention that it's a much warmer armor than ones worn in skyrim, the land of eternal winter. The art style for Armor in Skyrim seems to think it's the land of eternal summer. This is not the Mediterranean, it's SKYRIM! IT GETS GODDAMN COLD! Cover yourselves up!
cyrodill:is mostly green and sunny has full armor that covers the whole body skyrim:is mostly cold weather like snow also skyrim *dont covers the knee and sometimes the arm and torso*
My favorite set was always the hold guard set (solitude and hjallmarch) , it was a lightweight set on the body with chainmail underneath to provide extra protection and durability. The helmet looked good and had good plates and the spike could be used as a weapon. I liked the imperial bracers and sabatons they used because they offer more protection than fur. The armour was easy to obtain, and overall had a good look. So there you have it: The solitude or hjallmarch guard is my favorite set of armour.
One of my favourite games! Finished it once, replayed one million times and I have a character with every race :D There are quite a few videos abour Skyrim on my channel :3
There are fur gloves, bracers, and a fur helmet in Skyrim. Fur Gloves and Boots are worn by the Stormcloaks at Helgen, while bandits will sometimes have Fur Bracers, and rarely you can find a Fur Helmet, which looks terrible.
I like the steel plate, the ebony and the glass set, since two of it are pretty much epic in design and also brings you back to the middle age when you see it (the glass one perhaps depicted from jade armor which is considered as the strongest material by the Chinese)
ultraboy222 if you're in full plate armor a shield wouldn't be very useful right? Though i still don't think dual-wieldning would work very well, a two-handed sword would be better i think.
+Johnnythefirst we didnt complain when there were only Oblivion on the market at the time :p Now things got more realistic, so we find the old ones very good to dress clowns :p
+Caliedhe Dosiere I know. I was absolutely dazzled when I saw Oblivion for the first time. The wide open spaces... Same with Morrowind. Same with Daggerfal even. Never played Arena. TES is just the most magical franchise out there...
I'm fairly sure the Daedric Helmet in Skyrim IS actually closed. In every rendition that I have seen of it, it is closed and actually has a beak-like shape.
+Zukasa Gaming Then I think you should have a look at my dedicated video response where I talk about the Blades being Japanese inspired in their armour, which they clearly weren't.
In skyrim the armour is the akaviri armour left behind after the dragons died out. In Oblivion the blade's armour is the armour supplied to them by the emperor to be his body guards.
Beqa Bokuchava No, I own perfect replicas of both Roman imperial lorica segmentata and 16th century takeda clan samurai armour, the blade's armour has very little to do with samurai armour (only the thigh guards) and it's pretty much a full copy of a Roman imperial armour, no doubt about it.
30:15 in my opinion that the armor of the blades changes so much in Skyrim is because that version of armor is closer to the origins of the blades that are Akavary that were very different that the empire
I just want to point out that in Skyrim, if you can't see skin, assume there's leather or mail or something appropriate underneath. Cause if you remove your armour, your character stands there in his/her loincloth and nothing else. So it's implied that all the typical unders are *with the armor pieces. Also, it's too bad you didn't look at pictures of the other variants of the fur, iron, and steel armors too. One of the furs has you totally shirtless. Would've loved to hear your thoughts on those. :D I'm not going to knit-pick anything else, cause it's all thoughts along the lines if, "but it's fantasy! magic! elves!", and you really do great overviews on the historical accuracy of these sets.
My favorite set is the Bosmer Armor set. It's a mod. And of those sets, my fave are the leather variants, I think the standard and Elder Bosmer armors. My character is a hunter, so he needed light sets... As to cannon, I like the leather, standard steel, steel ram's head sets. Purely aesthetic choices. The companions armour is nice too... and the Nordic set.
31:58 that's not an open helmet, if I remember correctly when you turn it sideways you can see that part of the helmet is just really dark, but it's still a closed helmet.
DREXIAN It does have some serious fantasy armor bullshit in it, no doubt, but it does have a lot of decent stuff. I think that my biggest facepalm moment was when, in The Witcher 3, when you're getting dressed up to meet the emperor of Milfguard(Emyr von Lannister), and Geralt tells the chamberlain that he'd prefer some "studded leather armor". > Studded leather armor. > Studded leather > Studded I also love how the Witcher's alternative to just wearing a metal cuirass(in previous games, at least) was to slap on like three leather ones and hope nobody notices. Because...you know...what's lighter and more agile than a metal cuirass? Three heavy, constricting, brick thick leather ones! It's funny that people seem to think that Geralt didn't wear any plate armor in the past games because of retaining his speed and agility, yet we know that he has super human strength, so much so that plate armor wouldn't actually affect his speed that much...so...yeah.
+TR33S FTW yes, and the subsarian-black peoples in Africa also used bone armors as their weaponry and protection. Megatron could have shown, but it's fine :p
I'd like to state that in Skyrim, the Blades are no longer the Emperors guards (it's the Penitus Oculaus then), so, having a different armour, less in the style of the Empire, totally makes sense.
My favourite armour is the Skyrims Obsidian armour. I overall was disappointed with the armour in Oblivion. Always thought it was a downgrade from the armour in Morrowind. TES can make some really good armour if they really try. I wish they would just stop making some really dumb mistakes like stupid boob armour.
Cythil Do you mean ebony, there is no obsidian armor except for in mods (Ebony is the metal blood of the dead god lorhikan who gave his life to make the planet nirn)
TopHatGames1 Ebony yes. Sorry. Mixed them up. In the lore Ebony actually is described smiler to our worlds obsidian and is not at all wood. That is likely why I made the mistake. Thanks for point it out.
+Cythil I was confused when I first heard of Ebony armour too. When I first got it in Morrowind, I thought "Wait! Wouldn't this be rather flammable? How the hell can it resist fire spells!?"
Tyler Moon Yep. A bit confusing name there. But at least there not doing the typical mistake of making metal armour less resistant against lighting. If you have full metal armour then it would work like a Faraday cage ;)
I used to be an adventurer like you, until I took an arrow to the knee. I have not taken an arrow to the knee, but I do have aseptic necrosis (a form of arthritis) in my right knee, so walking can get rather painful at times. When I had Covid19, it really affected my joints, and it was hard to get comfortable when I tried to sleep at night. My right knee was especially bad. At that, I had it better than my room mate. I was vaccinated, but I caught it from my room mate who was unvaccinated. He had to go to the ER for treatment. He came home and said "Stay away from me, I tested positive for Covid19. I told him, it's too late. I wasn't showing symptoms yet, but I knew if he had it, then I also had it. I generally stay home these days as I'm retired, so I don't go out much. There are some shops nearby, so maybe some window shopping, just to get some exercise.
Fun and informative video - though I have a couple of notes - mostly tiny bits and lore-related issues, sometimes conceptual notes as well. Fur armour - Skyrim's fur armour has a helmet, though it is hard to come by (it is not on levelled lists as far as I can tell and it can be found only in very specific places - literally 7 locations)- it is basically a simple cap though. Also - there are 4 (5 if you count foresworn armour as fur) versions of cuirass in the game - from pretty much a bare chest to the one you showed. Since it is a Nord design, it didn't have to protect from cold - the thing was probably just made for show mostly, not as actual armour - makes some sense, given that it is used mostly by bandits. Also, the picture you had used leather boots. Boots for actual fur armour in Skyrim are tiny little "slippers". As for Oblivion elven armour - the cuirass is pretty much a reference to elven armours from Lord of the rings. My personal gripe with Skyrim's glass armour is that it looks heavy for something that is supposed to be a light armour. Orcish armour from Oblivion - picture you used has ebony boots. Given how this type of armour looked in Morrowind, my guess is creators wanted to go for something like a samurai armour with a more "barbaric" feel. As for Skyrim's version - it heavily resembles some orc armours from Lord of the rings again (Moria orcs to be precise) and is further emphasized by orcish weapon designs that look like a complete joke. My personal feel with Oblivion's dwarven armour is that they were aiming for something relatively similar in style to armours from Troy - at least when it comes to general visuals, with tons of tiny golden bits. Another thing about dwarven armours - these are most likely replicas or armours restored from some junk found in the ruins - still though, rather old designs as far a lore of the game is concerned, and probably "fixed" with more modern techniques and completely unfitting parts. It was especially visible in Morrowind, where dwarven armours were clearly parts of the automatons found guarding the ruins, put together and called armour. Blades armour - given the Akaviri origins of these armours - they are ancient designs in the game's terms, perhaps a bit retrofitted. They are supposed to be sort of Roman-Japanese, though the latter reference is barely visible only in some ornaments. I personally absolutely hate the daedric armours in both Skyrim and Oblivion, especially in comparison to Morrowind design. It effectively went from Morrowind's finely crafted segmented design with a bit of oriental feel and intimidating masked helmets to a designs that I can only describe as "lotr-orcified" - effectively, Dremoras got reduced from noble, otherworldly warriors to demonic orks, deformed faces included. While the armour design is okay by itself, if not overdesigned, the visible quality of craftsmanship looks just horrible - it is especially visible on weapons... As for Skyrim - well, my personal gripe is that it goes dangerously close to "spiky demon armour" territory, which is further emphasized by absolutely atrocious daedric weapons. It also saddens me that they dropped the whole mask gimmick for a helmet. Also, a bit of a shame you didn't tackle the imperial armours - it is interesting how they went from clear Roman style armours from Morrowind (though in all honesty, there were many imperial armours in Morrowind - effectively 8 variants), to tarnished version of LoTR Gondor armour (aka, common soldiers wearing full plate, because reasons) in Oblivion, back to Roman style armours in Skyrim. Interesting thing about Skyrim's imperial armour is that most of them are made of leather - indicating that they were made quickly and cheaply, probably to equip drafted reinforcements that had little to no actual training. Heavy versions of this armour also have bits that indicate that they were actually made by Nords, not Imperials - the heavy looking, wide belt indicates that. Town guards armours would also be an interesting thing to look at.
Every knee is armoured in oblivion, but the knees in skyrim are mostly bare.
Explains why all guards have knee injuries.
And that explains why every archer it's Hawk Eye

Ebony is also a glass, but is also literally the crystalline blood of the Missing God Lorkhan that flows out from his heart, the Red Mountain of Morrowind. Forging ebony armor is supposed to be incredibly difficult because of its glasslike properties, which is why it takes such a high skill requirement to make in Elder Scrolls games.

Those Ebony Swords looked so elegant. The Deadric ones just looked cartoony in Oblivion. They looks sleek and menacing in Skyrim
the fur armour set dose have a "helmet" but it's literally just a fur cap kinda thing
Arena was released in March of 1994, I see the mistake but it is still kind of funny lol.
Steel Arbiter lol
29:40 you could have compared the skyrim imperial armor to the oblivion guard armor
He actually couldn't have because the imperial armor in skyrim is much more Roman based whereas the imperial guard armor looks much more like a Medieval armor, and therefore count as two entirely different armor sets
He should have its imperial armor in both games. Though oblivion is mostly middle ages based when viewing armor
Zachary Kelly no you’re very wrong because both the imperial city guards armor and the imperial armor in Skyrim are IMPERIAL (same empire)
The only difference is that it is 100 years or so between the two eras.
Dillon Reynolds stop saying that the armor is based on some type of historical armor! Elder scrolls is it’s own universe! All the armor in elder scrolls is based on armor from earlier eras in the elder scrolls universe!
@@A-Gaymer I can't take that statement back, seeing as it IS loosely inspired by historical armor however mostly being fantasy.
26:29
Onion Knight (DS)? Is that you? Your helm has changed drastically.
3:47 "HELP MY FOOT IS STUCK IN THAT ROCK!"
Oblivion looks really good for 1994.
Awesome man, can I ask where you're from, I can't figure out your accent at all??
Great video. I would love to see a Morrowind version!
A better version of this video is coming out and it will include Morrorwind ;)
Fantastic keep up the good work
Talk about the Dawnguard Armor.
Metatron
WHERE IS IT BRUV
The Skyrim deadric armor helm is NOT open, it has a darker piece that covers the whole nose and mouth. Please check again.
Very informative video, it's always a joy to see a knowledgeable person's criticism of weapons and armor in fiction.
Guilded Elven Armor is actually one of my favorite light armor sets, alongside Ancient Falmer Armor, Glass Armor and Dragonscale Armor.
I'd prefer Banded Iron Armor it looks more tough.
+craig seaton Bruh im a boy.
+Erkut Erdem
With smithing you can make it powerful.
***** ED
***** He is a fucktard thats what his problem.
No. In oblivion you had gloves, legs, boots, helmet, and torso.
Skyrim had torso and legs, helmet, gloves, and boots.
+Douglas Mitchell You also had greaves
+Douglas Mitchell Morrowind had Left and right gauntlets and pauldrons as separate pieces.
+TR-8R Greaves are pants m8, that's what he means by the legs.
***** Yes
Did not even waited to the end of the video for the LIKE. You got me at "Skyrim is my fav game ever"
Contacting Bethesda to hire you to design armors for Elder Scrools 6 :)
Contact them and tell them in ten years I'll be ready to be one of their ES quest designers. ;)

Elder scrolls 6? Huh, I guess optimists do exist.
Oblivion Iron Armour - No Crotch Protection - OUCH!
it always annoyed me that by the time I get the ebonymail in skyrim I already have deadric armor
Nice video, again making want to play my modded Skyrim. Favourite for has to be Daedric Armour because it looks ominous and evil and I always go for the Dark Overlord vibe.
Thank you for this video - it really tought me a lot about armor!
I'd be a lot happier and lot warmer with a bellyful of mead
Fancy the bow eh? I'm a sword man myself
Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll?
No lollygagging.

"Look at him, you're despicable" im ded.
They are men. Men will never admit if they are cold. Trust me. I am one.
cyrodill:is mostly green and sunny
has full armor that covers the whole body
skyrim:is mostly cold weather like snow
also skyrim *dont covers the knee and sometimes the arm and torso*
My favorite set was always the hold guard set (solitude and hjallmarch) , it was a lightweight set on the body with chainmail underneath to provide extra protection and durability. The helmet looked good and had good plates and the spike could be used as a weapon. I liked the imperial bracers and sabatons they used because they offer more protection than fur. The armour was easy to obtain, and overall had a good look. So there you have it: The solitude or hjallmarch guard is my favorite set of armour.

Elven armor in Oblivion: "My helm is a bird. your argument is invalid." Yeah, the helmet always looked silly to me.
Oblivion was released in 1994 apparently. That’s some pretty damn good graphics for 24 years ago.
The Daedric helmet isn't open, if you look closely you can see that the mouth is covered by very dark black metal.
You play skyrim? I didn't know that, you're awesome XD
One of my favourite games! Finished it once, replayed one million times and I have a character with every race :D
There are quite a few videos abour Skyrim on my channel :3
Metatron Oblivion was released in 2006 Not 1994
They have fur gauntlets in skyrim I'm pretty sure.
I'm pretty sure there is a fur hat also, but not a helmet. Every little bit helps on the frigid tundra of Skyrim lol
Christopher Metz lol
There are fur gloves, bracers, and a fur helmet in Skyrim. Fur Gloves and Boots are worn by the Stormcloaks at Helgen, while bandits will sometimes have Fur Bracers, and rarely you can find a Fur Helmet, which looks terrible.
I like the steel plate, the ebony and the glass set, since two of it are pretty much epic in design and also brings you back to the middle age when you see it (the glass one perhaps depicted from jade armor which is considered as the strongest material by the Chinese)
You have got a legendary taste in video games.
Asymmetrical pauldrons really highlight the advantage we lefties have in battle. ;)
What about we ambidextrous people who can naturally dual wield?
No, if you know how to block with a sword dual-wielding swords can be much more effective than a sword and shield.
Eh. Whatever. Why even do we argue about stuff like this though. Swords are completely useless in today's military.
ultraboy222 if you're in full plate armor a shield wouldn't be very useful right? Though i still don't think dual-wieldning would work very well, a two-handed sword would be better i think.
ambidextrous master race!
Damn, almost all of the armors after steel look absolutely retarded in Oblivion. What were they thinking. :p
+Johnnythefirst we didnt complain when there were only Oblivion on the market at the time :p Now things got more realistic, so we find the old ones very good to dress clowns :p
+Caliedhe Dosiere Not true. You can look back at Morrowind and objectively say the armours look better.
+Si Rose Oh, come on, they didn't. Don't be too nostalgic. I loved all Elder Scrolls, but nothing compares to Skyrim visually.
+Caliedhe Dosiere I know. I was absolutely dazzled when I saw Oblivion for the first time. The wide open spaces... Same with Morrowind. Same with Daggerfal even. Never played Arena. TES is just the most magical franchise out there...
Johnnythefirst I said objectively... not based on which had shinier graphics. I also still prefer Morrowind's less cliched art style.
Honestly, I think bethesda has managed to get its shit together where armor is concerned. Now weapons......... THAT needs improvement
Also - the weights of weapons and armor.
I'm fairly sure the Daedric Helmet in Skyrim IS actually closed. In every rendition that I have seen of it, it is closed and actually has a beak-like shape.
I hardly played oblivion, most of my time has spent with skyrim. I really appreciate this video.
I think u kinda missed that the blades pretty much went to beeing japanese.
+Zukasa Gaming Then I think you should have a look at my dedicated video response where I talk about the Blades being Japanese inspired in their armour, which they clearly weren't.
+Metatron Watched it. Great video as always! :D
+Metatron You really sound persistent in that you absolutely know everything about evertything about these things :P No offense
Oblivion? 1994!?!?!?
Tom Lom ikr
More like 1914!
More like 1889 april 20th
where's morrowind?
+Dustin 1982 is too old for this video
+TheGodCold Morrowind came out after 1994.
***** Which is after 1994, so it should have been included, despite Oblivion's 1994 release.
Glass armor should be rather some kind of torture technique where executor just bashes somebody wearing this armor and shards just pierce his body
30:15 in my opinion that the armor of the blades changes so much in Skyrim is because that version of armor is closer to the origins of the blades that are Akavary that were very different that the empire
The fur armour you used isn't the matching set, you used the guards version of fur gauntlets and boots.
+Metatron 22:11 the orcish armor actually looks kind of like a mongol style
Raphael Platania ye
dude , plz make 300 Greek armor review
The armor in 300 is Spartan, not Greek.
+Alex Griffith Sparta is greek.
Svawe The Goat yes and no. At the time Greek cities-states where totally independent from each other and often in war with its neighbors.
TheZombietyk Oh, I see. I don't really know a lot about these things...
no problem, if you got time you can always look it up on wiki, it is quite interesting :)
I'm not going to knit-pick anything else, cause it's all thoughts along the lines if, "but it's fantasy! magic! elves!", and you really do great overviews on the historical accuracy of these sets.
That's not the same steel helmet to match the set btw
Also daedra armor is made of ebony armor infused with daedra blood
+Staffaynu in skyrim.
Iseenotix ya
there are 2 steel helms 1 with the horns like in the vid and 1 just a plain helm
Don't the witcher series have mutch better(from history) armors?
DREXIAN Very much so, infact I am planning to review those too :D
DREXIAN It does have some serious fantasy armor bullshit in it, no doubt, but it does have a lot of decent stuff.
I think that my biggest facepalm moment was when, in The Witcher 3, when you're getting dressed up to meet the emperor of Milfguard(Emyr von Lannister), and Geralt tells the chamberlain that he'd prefer some "studded leather armor".
> Studded leather armor.
> Studded leather
> Studded
I also love how the Witcher's alternative to just wearing a metal cuirass(in previous games, at least) was to slap on like three leather ones and hope nobody notices. Because...you know...what's lighter and more agile than a metal cuirass? Three heavy, constricting, brick thick leather ones!
It's funny that people seem to think that Geralt didn't wear any plate armor in the past games because of retaining his speed and agility, yet we know that he has super human strength, so much so that plate armor wouldn't actually affect his speed that much...so...yeah.
oblivion was released in 2006 while arena in 1994
Christian Fuguet no tes 4 was made in 83 and arena in 73
really good video man
I would love seeing a video like this for ninja armors in games :)
Your Forgetting the dragonbone armor.
The sad thing is that I thought your comment was serious.
The sad thing is that I'm an idiot and I don't even research when I comment.
Its all good sometimes i do the same thing :)
+TR33S FTW yes, and the subsarian-black peoples in Africa also used bone armors as their weaponry and protection. Megatron could have shown, but it's fine :p
+Ryu primeus Since when does oblivion have Dragonbone armor(without mods), now that would ruin the concept of a comparement
Wait wtf? Oblivion in 1994?
If you looks closely at the stumach of the oblivian dwarven armor iT looks like a trashcan
Jared Knoope ye
I'd like to state that in Skyrim, the Blades are no longer the Emperors guards (it's the Penitus Oculaus then), so, having a different armour, less in the style of the Empire, totally makes sense.
Great video. My personal favourite is, probably, the ebony set from Skyrim. Did you do a similar walk-through with the ESO sets?
Not to be rude, but Oblivion was released in 2006. Great video otherwise, keep it up!
vtheawesome Thank you I changed and put a note :D
My favourite armour is the Skyrims Obsidian armour. I overall was disappointed with the armour in Oblivion. Always thought it was a downgrade from the armour in Morrowind.
TES can make some really good armour if they really try. I wish they would just stop making some really dumb mistakes like stupid boob armour.
Cythil Do you mean ebony, there is no obsidian armor except for in mods (Ebony is the metal blood of the dead god lorhikan who gave his life to make the planet nirn)
TopHatGames1
Ebony yes.
Tyler Moon
Yep. A bit confusing name there. But at least there not doing the typical mistake of making metal armour less resistant against lighting. If you have full metal armour then it would work like a Faraday cage ;)
Whoever took those armor pics for Oblivion was really sloppy and inconsistent. Also - Skyrim's daedric armor does in fact have a closed helm.
