Change the tax laws and stop giving tax deductions and benefits to anyone or corporation like Blackstone (aka Blackrock) who rents out a single family detached home. Tax deductions should only be given out to landlords that own multi unit apartments.
this really needs to be stopped at once .....corporations own everything else ....we are monopolized. Does not matter where you travel in the USA...the towns always the same.....one home depot ....one Starbucks...and fast food joints ...and then everyone gets so excited when a Walmart opens . Mom and pop shops have a rough go against corporate Amercian

Oh we are so lucky that Blackstone is going out of its way to be so charitable and is not doing this for business but to improve lives. Where would we be as a country economically had not Wallstreet also stepped in to improve all our lives.

It’s those who pay the high rents that pretty much cost more than average renter can afford .they don’t care about the average person they care about money like most investment companies do .So think about this when you see all the homeless camp and the homeless hanging out where you live housing it’s the over priced rent and is the cause and effect to the reason why the homeless population has gotten out of control they as well as others have contributed to the problem weather those in charge wants to address the real problems.But they can make law to punish you for not being able to have affordable housing and make it a crime to live in a camper /vehicle, which might be the only option you can afford. It’s not just the young who can’t afford rents it’s also the old and the retired who are on fixed incomes. It sad to what this this country has become you have to choose from if you’re gonna have a roof over your head or food on the table I see so many older, senior people going without because they can’t afford.
Higher rents is possible because regular housing ownership is so expensive. Now why is that? Could it be government obstructionist regulation and policies that make housing scarce? Talk about rent control and every rental owner will jack rents to the max before that goes into effect. Put laws into place where the landlord is criminalized for fixing the rental, or evicting a problem tenant. How many mom and pop owners will put their oversized no longer necessary house into the rental pool with vindictive housing authority laws threatening their investment? Most of the rental housing is owned by small operators, who will seek to protect themselves. Torch the entire industry because of one perceived bad player is news sensationalism. Fan the fires of protest, it sells news. Putting your house in the rental pool means putting your hard earned investment into the hands of others you trust to take good care of it. Will they?
