Beautiful, thanks, man! I can get a lot of that same tone out of my L-5 through a 66 Deluxe Reverb if the volume and reverb are set right and can be turned up. Depends on the venue. This really is the balls though. Keep 'em coming. -RM
I think that's around a '56 es-350, same guitar he used for some of Clarke's "Can't You Hear Me Callin'" LP. I saw him the first time at Archie's Bunker in '82 w/ the Flyers. Like all the great blues players, Junior, Schultz and Fats assimilated the same influences but developed their own signature styles. Thanks to his jazz studies, Alex knows theory and can play anything - with great taste and economy I might add.
Ingen er i nærheten av geniet Watson. Det er ekthet i bøtter og spann.👍💕
This video deserves many more likes !!
It dont get any better than Junior , ill testify to that !!! , Fantastc Video , love those dancers !!
Rockin'! And Junior's tone is like he used on his CD 'Long Overdue'.
Only Gibson Jazz boxes sound like that!!
Great feel and groove, no pedals… great!!
Junior! Du er den mest ekte guitar spilleren jeg noen sinne har sett og hørt.

Watson looks strange whitout that hair all over his face! But he rocks on that p90 guitar as usual! Great video, thanks for posting this!

Sounds like Michael Leonard Mann "Hollywood Fats" with Mr. Watsons special Mixture. Awesome.
@schultzvil And, you sir, are a scholar!
Very nice!
@Fatshead You sir, are a gentleman!
He plays the most beautiful guitar in the world! I think a Gibson Es 350.
