  • We begin with a clip of the Hamas chief in Gaza-Khalil al-Hayya, speaking Wednesday night in Doha after Hamas signed off on the proposed hostage deal. We have included a link to the video with English subtitles in the Podcast Notes, below. What he is saying, in short, is that October 7 was a glorious beginning and that Hamas will continue the struggle until all occupied lands and Jerusalem are liberated. Meaning, of course, that Hamas will continue to fight until it destroys Israel. Meanwhile, the Israeli cabinet has not yet convened to vote on the proposed agreement and may never do so. Things are looking precarious as I write this at 3:20 pm on the afternoon of Thursday, January 16. This podcast interview was recorded late this morning with State of Tel Aviv regular Jonathan Conricus, senior FDD fellow, former IDF spokesperson, and sought-after speaker and media commentator. We get into the nuts and bolts of this proposed deal as we wait to see what transpires. Listen in.
We also have a full audiovisual version of this podcast available on our RUclips channel. Here’s the link ( • Hostage Deal with Hama... ) if you would prefer to watch and listen there.

I was very happy at the prospect of hostages being released and therefore the risk has to be taken. I knew though it would be a believe it when you see it deal, but had confidence given what I thought was Trump’s support, but I am now confused because Trump said all the hostages had to be home by the time he’s in office, yet the deal spans over weeks and it’s not a deal for all the hostages. But we continue to hope and pray for the hostages and we can’t think anything other than they will be reunited with their families. I still believe Hope is very powerful.🙏❤️🇮🇱

Australia won’t be stopping funding to UNRAW. In fact the foreign minister never wanted to stop it in the first place but she did for a time and then resumed the funding even when it was reported that unraw workers were Hms members. Australia has taken 3000+ Gaza people who haven’t even been security checked and some fsince found to be affiliated with Hms. Yet Israelis wanting to come to Australia to visit family have to fill out a 15 page visa form which has the most despicable questions on it which is only given to Israelis.
