She told me that it is not a good product to use and I was paying for packaging and marketing. There is too much petroleum in La Mer and not the best for your skin. She was not the first person to tell me this, but until she did I just never paid too much attention to the others. I know that you are an advocate for great skin care and I feel that you need to research the La Mer cream a bit more in order to substantiate your claims. Mineral oil and petroleum are the 2nd and 3rd ingredients in La Mer. Both are very inexpensive ingredients. Vaseline is petroleum, although the petroleum in La Mer is of a higher grade compared to Vaseline, it has been called Vaseline Plus. So what you are paying for is packaging and prestige.
