- In this episode of the VLOG, Spooner heads back to Norton Disney to fish on Billy's Lake to use the NEW BASIX range and to WIN some prizes for viewers! For every LB of carp Neil catches within 24 hours will win £1 worth of tackle. Neil has called in back up for the session in the form of the Korda Koach, Rob Burgess to try and rack up as much as they can!
In order to enter, simply recommend somebody in the comments below who deserves this prize! We will announce the winners in the coming weeks!

My son Alfie would love the new basix range, instead of using my stuff. He's worked hard on his school work he would definitely deserve a reward.
My son Archie is 10 and he's suffered with anxiety going back to school after lock down - as have many other kids - and starting fishing this summer holidays has given him a boost and allowed him to unwind and relax, some new basix gear to help him on his journey both fishing and mentally would be great. Most newcomers to fishing will be fishing 2 rods max of around 2 -3 acres so don't need 1000 metres of line.
It's a small step making the amounts smaller but will mean more people can join in with a sport that lets face it we all love.
Good line up coming though and can't wait to see what happens rod and reel wise .

We love to go fishing as a family. Our 6 year old daughter Paige Baillie has just got her own little rod, these would be perfect for her to learn herself and if she casts into a tree or bush instead of the lake it won't be as frustrating haha! Thank you 😊

i would love to see my cousin joel, he has only started fishing as he’s took his recent passing in the family hard, and has spent most of his money and savings on helping fund the funeral and arrangements, and he is insane about carp fishing as he watched all of the monster carp episodes, however i hope who wins it enjoys it ❤️

I started taking my son Jack fishing with me several years ago and to say he is now hooked would be a bit of an understatement. The delight on his face every time he slips the landing net under his latest capture really is what fishing is all about for me. A prize like this would make his year.

My little nephew would love this. Spent the last 2 years trying to get him off the Xbox & on the bank and he's finally seeing sense 🎣 his face when he landed his first carp was a picture. A little 9lb mirror put a huge smile on his face and now I think he's finally hooked 😆

Just started taking my grandson Callum. He caught his first fish last sat, roach, at my club’s junior open day and absolutely loved it. Taking him tomorrow for ,hopefully, some more fishing fun.

My young labourer at work has been keen to go fishing but had only been sea fishing on a boat. I took him carp fishing & set him off with a method feeder..........1hr later with 4carp & 1tench in the net & let's say he was hooked!!!!!! He has now slowly been buying bits n bobs & started building up his tackle, this prize could set him on his new fishing journey in life & be confident in knowing he is using the correct & good quality equipment

My wife would love the Korda basics range so she could wrap them up and give them to me. It would save hours of her life listening to me explain anti tangle sleeves, “rigs”, the constant need for PVA etc 👍🙏👍

This would be spot on for me as I’m 14 don’t have enough to have all the top range tackle neither the mid range stuff but I’ve saved my money to get the two rods and I’m saving for the reels the basix gear would help me get a kick start into the fishing I want to do so much .tight lines🎣
My dad would love this as he has trouble seeing where the line is to tie a knot, but with this it will help him get his rods in the water a lot faster. And he’s very new to carp fishing and doesn’t know much, but this would go a long way for him.

absolutely fantastic idea and business plan from korda .when everyone else is putting new expensive ranges on the market up steps korda to help the young/inexperienced/and less able anglers . maybe now my husband will be able to afford to set me up with some tackle so i can start carp fishing lol

I would love to win this, I have all my own gear but one of my best friends nick povall had all of his gear stolen many years ago now, but he’s never got round to replacing it! We have recently been reminiscing about our trips to France and nights on the banks of our local lakes. I would love to surprise him with a bundle of gear to get him back out on the bank like we used to together, having fun and relaxing with the rods out. I’d like my uncle to be the winner, me and my dad have been fishing for years and absolutely love Korda gear, I think the basix range is another fantastic idea that you have come up with for the pocket friendly anglers, I’m forever tying my uncles rigs for him which I don’t mind in the slightest as I’m just as happy as him when he catches and it’s on a rig I tied, he has worked all through this awful pandemic for Royal Mail doing all the hours he can so people don’t go without and get that little bit of joy you receive in a parcel, good luck everyone and another great video spooner!
