Why not just use a co2 air soft gun? Just tape the drain attachment thing on the gun.
That’s an idea. I don’t have one of those, but if I did it could be worth a try. Thanks for watching!
pure lye for bathtub, sink and shower drains. nothing works better.
Just ordered one from amazon, $48 ish. No drain cleaner, multiple plunger attempts, multiple auger attempts, worked, nada. Very hopeful.
The craziest thing I did to unclog a drain was to use a sqeezable pencil sharpener container as a plunger.
Tried 15ft snake, vinegar + baking soda, drain liquid. All didn't work.
This thing was my last hope before I called a plumber.
It actually worked like a charm.
Hi, I contacted u the other day about the proper use of klear drain. I used it three times because my clog still seemed to be intact. The following morning, I saw the drain on longer had water inside. When I turned on the water, the clog was gone and I was thrilled!!!. Never really expected it to work because I clog was very severe. No water was draining from the tub at all. This saved me money and, at this time of quarantine, I would not want a workman in my home. Thank u so much for informing me about this product. I could have never used a snake or even removed the overflow cover from my tub. You were a lifesaver for me!
That is awesome! Thank you for sharing your experience.
I see your video and saw it didn’t work at first and thought ha! I decided to try it anyway as I was desperate. I had been up all night because not only does my bath tub have a clog it also has a leak....can you imagine that? A double whammy! I went to Home Depot picked it up along with a snake and more draining.....I used the snake and nothing happened. I thought here goes nothing! I pushed down expecting nothing to happen and BANG! It went off like a shot gun blast! I said Hot Diggity! I also so the smoke shoot out through the exhaust drain.....a few seconds later and the drain is clear! It was pretty cool to be honest with you.
Thanks for sharing your story. Yes, it's very cool to see it work. I've had to do this so many times in our house and it works EVERY single time. Very amazing tool.
I need help I was able to drain the water perfectly but 6 months later it happened again it’s clogged
I just got one for a super serious tub clog. My advice for every use is be sure to use the splashgard and wait about 15 - 30 minutes after use before using again. That at least gives gravity time to do it's job and prevent too much force down the pipes.
Im not going to even write a long story or anything I think a simple "Thank you my guy" will suffice!!
Just bought this at Home Depot, worked GREAT! I covered the overflow drain with a rag, and only ended up using one cartridge. Thanks for the video!
Holy shit.. Tried snakes, chemicals, boiling water, plunger.. Fighting a slow drain.. For 2 days (about 4-8 hours) went to home depot bought this.. Boom done in 2 mins.. This thing is phenomenal..
It is awesome! It’s bailed me out so many times. Glad it worked for you too. Thanks for checking this out.
Worked beautifully for me on a toilet that was very prone to clogging - One shot and ran well. This after half an hour of plunging and fooling with a 3-foot auger. Didn't use use the wafer/pwoer disk (hadn't read instructions closely) but no problem - have cast iron pipes.
I thought it was a dumb gimmick tool until I saw the C02 cartridge then I was all in!
I just bought this product and will use it soon, but found your video and others to make sure I understood how to use it correctly. For tubs I made something that makes them easier. I remove the overflow drain cover and I cut an aluminum disc slightly larger that the opening with a hole in the center and glued some thick foam to one side. Then I screw that on over the vent drain hole to seal it so that the pressure only goes down the pipe.
I just ordered from home Depot. Gonna pick it up in couple hours. I'll comment after I use it. Jesus I really hope this works.
Just use a shop vac
I'm plunging for a week and he gets it with one shot!!! Waaaa!!!
Ahh yes. I had my share of unclogging tubs and toilets back in 2000 and 2001 when I was a handyman for Pheasant Ridge Apartments in Iowa City. We used a snake for those types of dirty jobs. I wished this was around back then. Those CO2 cartridges also remind me of my bb gun days when I was a kid. We use Drano for our clogs when we get them. This was a great video. Keep making vids Matt. You're going somewhere. I saw a video from another RUclipsr and it's funny because he said, "Make everything a video!" Thanks for sharing Matt! Keep up the good work! 👊
Thanks, Sam, really appreciate this feedback. Yeah, I used Drano, snakes, other tools for years. This tool is definitely my goto for pesky clogs. I've had to use it several times now - I have kids who take a lot of showers. Also, I picked up a great mesh filter that I stick over some of our drains and that's really helped. I need to get one for this tub too. Yes, I've learned the value of "filming as you go." It's been a great experience.
@@HandyHudsonite Thumbs up on that. Yeah, I hear ya!
Thanks, Aaron Rodgers! Nice beard. Loved the State Farm commercials, too! Go Vikes!
Used it and it worked, thanks
Thank you ...This worked great! I didn't need a plumber.
You're welcome. Isn't it an awesome tool! I just used mine again a couple of weeks ago on a drain and it did the trick! Thanks so much for watching this.
After taking my sink apart about 5 times, rodding it with a 15 foot handheld auger using a drill, about 5 times, nothing seemed to work. Mind you my stack is not far away. Every time that I put it all back together it clogged again with only only about a half a gallon of water added. I left two different products overnight soaking, the backup didn't even budge. I wish I had heard of this device, I would have saved about 10 hrs and my body. Long story short, as I already had all my plumbing apart, I just shot it straight into the wall pipe, no plunger on the end as it would not work with my vanity in the way, too close to the wall drain in the wall. For safe measures I shot into it twice. I had read a review where the person stated the best sound once shot they had ever heard. No the best sound was when I turned on the water, and it actually drained. My pipes behind the wall are strong, cast iron, but this thing solved the problem as I was beginning to doubt myself and logic. Never struggled this much before.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Terry. I've definitely had a lot of run arounds with clogs before I found this tool.
Hey thanks brother are tub drain clogged last night. The whole pipe from before the faucet so if you run the sink I filled the tub. My dad found your video just went and bought one and in 2 shots completely cleared the whole clog
YESSS..
THANK-U!
FOR THIS VIDEO...
IT WORK THE FIRST TIME I DID IT.👍👍
Wow, great tool. This is my first time seeing that tool. Thanks for Sharing
You're welcome. It's a fantastic tool that I came across a couple of years ago because every other method I used wasn't working to clear my bathroom sink drain. I didn't want to have to call a plumber, so I just kept looking until I discovered this.
They are at HD.. you have to walk around and search for it because the employees don't know where to look.
It would probably work better if the overflow were sealed off when you do it so the added pressure doesn't escape.
Yes, i don't think he was aware of that, that probably would have cleared a lot faster.
Kleer drain is worth its weight in gold. I just used one co2 to blow out mt front yard drain after having no luck with a snake.
i have a NASTY clog in my drain somewhere. sister's bf even removed the toilet fron the floor and ran a 25ft snake down there, but it would not unclog the line. gonna need to try a Kleer Drain tool. what someone needs to do is invent an automatic plunging device that plunges and plunges a drain so that it will eventually unclog. until then, i guess a Kleer Drain tool will have to do in the meantime! for me, anyway. thanks for sharing your demo on the Kleer Drain tool.
Thanks. I being looking for so many ideas how to unclog my drain but not even one single one works. When i try to insert a long wire something hits like a metal and dosent go any further. I will try this method you use thanks again. 🙇
Did it work
Poor guy, he sounded so disappointed at first. 😟 But he took it well! Better than I would've.
Thanks 🙏
I can see this causing issues in the future by pushing the clog/hair/etc further down the pipe and causing a larger build up. Drain clogs are annoying so hopefully it doesn't cause bigger issues later on.
Worked exactly as shown for me
Thanks handy
Excellent demo. Thanks!
Pretty cool 👍
Thanks. It's always fun unclogging things 😁
Can u still use this tool when your tab has grill in the drain hole?
You definitely have to block the overflow to get maximum use. Otherwise the CO2 goes right out the overflow.
I could see that in this video you can see the gas coming out of the overflow. Good call
Yeah that happened to me.. but it still unclogged my drain.. hopefully I won't have to do it again anytime soon..
I bought one of these this week. I'm ready to use it but wasn't sure if I was connecting it correctly. I've used the plastic tool and I've used liquids but this clog is stubborn. Thanks for this video.
Fantastic! It’s an amazing tool. You can switch around the rubber fitting on the bottom to either sit over the drain like a plunger or to partially insert into the drain, just depends what type of drain your working with. Let me know how it works out.
Handy Hudsonite Will do. I hope the noise isn’t TOO loud. I don’t want my husband to know I clogged the drain, lol. Actually, it drains but it’s kinda slow. He’ll try to “fix it”! 😂
It is pretty powerful, but your husband should be impressed with the clear drain. 😊
@@HandyHudsonite Lol.
It does work, but I broke something lol...and please wear protective eye wear whew almost took my eye out.
Yes, good advice.
What broke
Happy For You. Woo Hoo. !!💕👍🏼💜
Several years ago, a handyman unclogged me kitchen sink with a plunger that use air pressure. He didn't use a CO2 cartridge, but he pumped it a few times.
Impressed, I bought the same plunger for my own use. When I first used it to unclog my bathroom's basin, it seemed to work. But an hour, or so, later, I heard my adjacent neighbor talking with the building's handyman, as he was apparently unclogging the neighbor's batroom basin. It seemed that the plunger's pressure had pushed the clog in the neighbor's basin drain.😱
I no longer have that plunger, but it seems that this plunger's CO2 generated pressure could also push clogs to nearby drains. Was this your experience? If so, we should be cautious about this "unintended consequence."😮🙂
This works really well! My drain opened instantly!
That’s fantastic! I’m glad this helped you out. I’ve opened up so many drains with this amazing tool.
"And, look at that......................."
TNT works as well
how do you stop the blast from escaping the tub/sink vent hole. cant seal with rag and hand pressure
Duct tape is a very resourceful product
Thank you
If the clog is not near the top, wouldn't the CO2 just blow out of the overflow drain?
Thank u for sharing. Nice job.
🥰 What a great vid. Thanks !
Hmmm.. have to try this.( never heard of this product).
Will it work for sinks that have the litttle thing that u can pull up and down
How about a video to unplug a double kitchen sink?
Good idea David. Unfortunately, I don't have a double kitchen sink in my house. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing help me out tremendously
You’re welcome. This tool has saved my drains so many times. Thanks so much for watching this.
A device is needed to block one drain so other can be plunged.
Okay, that overflow valve, is the up position open or closed? I dont want to attempt this until I know I have the drain open
? I believe you should of blocked the overflow hole to prevent loss of power. Have also heard in past that strong bursts of air could also dislodge joints/piping? Not sure on that point.
Useless for me as I can’t get bath tub drain cover off to use the tool. Are you compacting the clog making it worse? I don’t see whirlpool showing it is fully cleared. Running water and draining looked good.
Good
what can be used for a severe clog in a bathroom sink.
I’ve used this with clogs I couldn’t get with a snake or other methods. You may have to do it a couple of times on stubborn clogs. What kind of clog do you think you have?
I literally just bought one tonight and it really helped a lot, rotter rooter couldn't even unclog the drain. I also pour DAWN down the drain better than draino.
i have used 4 of them and nothing has happen. i already paid home depot 170$ for alot of dranos and snake thing and nothing. i will buy more of this today and hopefully it works.
hopefully u respond does this help with air bubbles or gurgling sounds ?
When your TV doesn’t work and you hit on it real hard to get a signal but inevitably shake a bunch of wires/microchips loose.... This is that same premise ... AGHH shit it’s backed up and somethings not working right! Shoot really cold air , at a super strong speed, down piping you don’t know the state of and it’s condition! This will be a good idea!
You need to also block the vent?
Where did you get it at
Look at that.... 😆..... Welp
.... Huh.....
Musta stunned that clog, it didnt know which way to go for a bit
how is that supposed to work on a tub if you do not seal the overflow closed
next time cover the overflow slot with a rag under the drain lever
You look like Adam Sandler lol thanks tho man
Hi - Thanks for this video. Just bought this tool, but cannot get the handles to depress. I've definitely assembled it correctly and leaned on it with my full weight, but there is zero movement of the handles. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for letting me know. Make sure the co2 canister is in there properly. You might have it in there upside down. Sometimes it does take some force to move it. If it still doesn’t move try moving it without the canister in it.
@@HandyHudsonite Will try it. Thanks!
sometimes you may want to pull the clog out rather than push it down
My face when the water didn't move 😐🤨🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
Does the blast go all the way down the pipes ? And doesn't it lose force as it goes further down the pipes ?
It's directed one way. It won't lose much force unless the clog is passed a point where the flow can go in more than one direction.
Read instructions as well as watching this video. Especially read the warnings ⚠️
So...apparently cartridge is good for only one shot?
Right, just one shot.
@@HandyHudsonite you can buy soda Co2 cartridges to use.
WHATS THE NAME OF THAT TOOL
CAN I FIND IT HOME DEPOt
Kleer Drain and yes
$25 at Home Depot. Save receipt in case you do not like.
ruclips.net/video/58vDISHcGDQ/видео.html
Can getting you help with notification from RUclips in my google mailbox ?, I have tried everything and still can't get it right
Thanks for watching. Check out my video on the 3-step productivity hack for RUclipsrs. Has the RUclips and gmail icons on it. I talk about that subject. Appreciate you being here 👍
Debris came from your overfill drain.
Next time clog the top hole....the one with the little Lever you lost a Bunch of pressure Through there
Great point! Yes, I realized that after I filmed. Won't miss that next time.
Omar Rodriguez I did that, with a hand towel...it hit me in the face 😂
@@leylataber4266 That's funny! You could try covering it with duct tape next time, that seems to work pretty well.
Be careful I have seen thies blow apart old pvc . And cover the over flow.
Thanks for the tip on this. Yes, that’s why you need to make sure to put the dampening insert between the co2 canister and the rest of the unit so the blast isn’t quite as jolting on the pipes.
@@HandyHudsonite whats an dampening insert?
As in the case of being a plumber no you don’t sit there and stare at the water and wait go ahead and load the second cartridge and you blast it again this video would’ve been way shorter if he was a real plumber
Would this work on a clogged toilet?( answer soon please).
I've never tried it on a toilet, but I don't see why you couldn't.
I just bought it for my clogged toilet and it worked great
Not to take away from the tool used. But, taking off the above screws to the overflow, drain stopper and running a simple wire is a lot more efficient to unclogging that type of bath.
What’s happening?
@7:52 time for some baking soda '1/4 cup' and one cup vinegar. Then Pour boiling water down the drain several times. Repeat the boiling water every month to get rid of the soap scum/hair. Get a hair screen if you do not have one.
We had a friend of our daughter stay with us during the Oregon forest fires and when they left my bathroom sink was plugged; used the plastic snake and up came all this fresh hair????
Pipes can be damaged after this pressure. Imo
can't hear you
hard to hear you!
This might be okay for cast iron pipes but seems like way too much force for PCV. Seems like it might weaken the joints.
May be a great tool but DAMN!! He talks to slow!
Doesn't work
This thing doesn’t even work, not even power.
Oh well LOL
(Bh
Nice, but if you unscrew the overflow/drain plug up above, just run a small snake, wire hanger into it. Drains every time.
Yup, congrats the drain is now draining and the water is out of the tub. Check underneath your slab for your house as you just hammered the Shit out of a fitting on your piping system and mow the water is draining into your foundation haha - What a pice Of Shit product ..
The very premise of this product! You have a damaged , clogged pipe in a unknown state. Let’s shoot 1000 PSI real quick into the piping and blow it clear . The real honest question. Is how do you know that shot of air (co2 air which is freezing by the way , even worse) didn’t do way more damage to your piping system then good ??
This video is entirely too long
Just unclogged the tub, but broke the pipe line. All the water leaked into my kitchen 🥲🥲
rofl. i was so scared of this happening. i didn't buy it for that exact reason.... back to snaking i guess. thank you for sharing. how did it turn out?
It's draining super fucking slow
very cool
Thank you
Thing worked better than a 300$ electric snake. Only thing I'd recommend especially if the water is absolutely disgusting would be to take off the overflow cover and wrap it in like a plastic shopping bag and screw the cover back on. You could and should even stuff up any opening in the overflow cover so the air pressure and gross water doesn't come shooting out. Love this thing
Thank you
House with at least 50yr old cast iron pipes. No water in system for 5 years plus on hard well water. After no luck with hand auger the Kleer Drain worked fine first time.
Hey! I had to come back and give you the update! I *FINALLY* used the Kleer Drain! I let the toilet seat down. Closed up the sink drain but. . . I forgot about the hidden overflow vent thingie in the tub. I didn't think I was doing it correctly until BOOM! Hair and gunk went flying out everywhere. . . it was almost kinda fun. . . like a science experiment, lol. The boom wasn't a loud as I thought and guess what? Hubby never knew I had a slow draining tub! Thanks.
Awesome! Yeah, it can definitely get messy depending on what's clogging the drain. I'm glad it worked out for you. I used this in my sink once and had a whole lot of gunk flying everywhere (I hadn't properly sealed around the sink before). Glad your hubby didn't know! Thank you so much for coming back to give an update. Feel free to share this video around to others with stubborn drains. 🛁
