The most sweet lioness that Greece ever send to the condest ! Epic performance , she conquered men hearts that night ! Our Greek Aphrodite . So proud of her ! My personal winner ! American - Greek combination ! The instrument that you heard at the intro is a Greek 4 - chorded buzuki !
The instrument at the beginning was probably a bouzuki, a generic feature of many Greek songs. Hey, I love Greece, I spent 2 years working there but with ESC I feel that Greece tend to dilute their ethnicity to try and please a wider ordience. You're My Number One is a classic example - yes it won, but so much of the ethnicity was lost. Oneira Mou from 2018 was probably the closest we've had to a true Greek entry in recent years, but suffered with really, really poor staging
@@JordanDavisEurovision it's one of those shoulda been in the final but... Jordan, let me take you back to Anna Vissi 2006. She slayed but had amazing hits outside ESC. ruclips.net/video/rU2QF0PtbeU/видео.html is a song that is a Greek/Cypriot classic to the present day. Dodeka means 12, or midnight. It's midnight, you haven't called me... Watch
I am so excited because next you're going to react to one of my favorite entries ever in the Eurovision history: Ukraine - Ani Lorak - "Shady lady". But I will keep my thoughts for that video. I have to say that Greece never fails to deliver when they send songs with ethnic vibes. Just love this entry!!
My favourite Greek eurovision song😍😍😍
I love it!
