Sabaton performed Swedish Pagans not only with their old bandmates, but also with Grammy nominated cellist Tina Guo!

This performance was special. It was their anniversary show. They where playing on two stages at the same time, with the acitve bandmembers on the left stage and the ex-members on the right stage. It was a phenomenal show

That women has played in Hans Zimmer's team a lot. She performed with him in Live in Praque DVD. Damn it's a joy to see her playing. I totally dropped my jaw when I saw her entering the stage here. And if you don't know who is Hans Zimmer, look at these movies he is behind of the scores of some movies: Pirates of the Caribbean, Gladiator, Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, The Dark Night, Inception, Crimson Tide, The Last Samurai and also the main theme of The Lion King.

Notice that they play on two stages simultaneously. The current members at the stage with Tina and the old mebers on the other stagte as an ode to them. Kudos to Sabaton.

This show was the 20th anniversary of Sabaton and the 30th for Wacken festival. To celebrate they put on this huge show where they had old members join them on the second stage. In the end they had 2 drummers, 2 rythm guitarists 2 lead guitarists, a keyboardist a bassist and a lead singer all from sabaton. From the 7th song they had a 20 man choir on stage, which isnt really showcased here, and tina guo, the cellist joined them for the final 2 songs. I am literally addicted to this live show and watch it daily!!!

Sabaton used both stages during this show. They had invited back their former members. So they had 2 drummers and 4 guitarplayers. They celibrated 20 years as a band and Wacken celibrated also so they did this special show. Sabaton is the only band that have used the 2 main stages at the same time at Wacken. Love the reaction. If I may suggest sabaton channel is realising their entire set list live every saturday from their great war tour 2019 well worth watching and if you fancied the sabaton history channel tells the stories each song is trying to convey. Ads a whole new layer to the songs when you listen in my opinion

Wacken must be a magical place. I've seen so many great performances by a lot of awesome bands, and they all played their best there.
You must do 40:1 live at Woodstock by Sabaton , saw that video for the 1st time and feel in love with them !
They do have cool shows. I saw them on Halloween at the Royal Oak Music Theatre where they opened for Amon Amarth. One of the best shows overall that I've ever been to.

The cellist name is Tina Guo. If you liked her in this video then you should check out her live performance with violinist Caroline Campbell performing the theme from Wonder Woman. Trust me, you won't regret taking the time to watch it. Good times!

Yes, Sabaton is extremly good live but many of the studio videos isn't half bad either.
I have seen many comments from hardcore metal heads saying "No no no, there is no place for Cello's in metal music". I don't agree with that, do you?
Btw, a Sabaton is a part of the armor that knights was wearing during the middle ages, it's the thing that protects the foot of the knight.
Glad you liked this band from my homeland, they have been active for more than 20 years now so there's plenty of songs for you to look at and listen to.

so far i have only seen one mv and i do think that cello blongs in metal. it gives it theatrics. Look at how big skillet is and they use a cello in a lot of concerts. They Also us the violin. I love that too!!
This was their 20th anniversary, thats why they played two of the three main stages (Harder-stage with the current lineup and Tina Guo and Faster-Stage with the ex-members). I've been there on that Thursday evening a year ago and it was an awesome show. I don't know exdactly when the show started but this particular performance must have been after 10pm, because the bulls head is already on fire.
Next day on Friday at 11am Jinjer played on the Louder-stage (the third stage) on the infield aka The Holy Ground. It was the first slot for that day, maybe because it was the very first appearance of Jinjer at Wacken and the organizers did not know what crowd they could expect. Turned out that there were quite many people despite the early slot. I believe you have not yet reacted to Jinjer "Pernnial" live at Wacken? This year Wacken will happen online www.wacken.com/en/news-details/wacken-world-wide-everything-you-need-to-know/ . They will use a virtual stage in some studio no boring living room concerts. It will not be like the "real" festival, because the atmosphere, the camping and everything else around will not be there, but the good thing is, it is free for everyone to watch, no tickets needed, no fees, no travel costs, the whole world of metalheads can watch. Oh, and Sabaton already announced their participation (as did Blind Guardian, Beyond the Black and some others, still waiting for a complete list of bands). I am excited how this will work out.

If You like Cellos.. the Finnish band Apocalyptica is a awesome choice. Metal with 3 or 4 cellos and a drummer. They are sick!
