Funfact about butterfly symbolism in Japanese culture. In general butterflies are symbolic of change, but in Japan it's also closely associated with death, in the sense that Death is the greatest change your life will ever take on, your own personal metamorphosis for what comes after. Now what's really creepy and cool about the third ending is that one caught butterfly becomes three, then more and more until it's a out of control swarm engulfing the cast. Or at least most of the cast. If you notice all the characters have their fingers out stretched with a butterfly having landed on it, all save for one whose finger remains empty. A butterfly flies past that characters finger rather than landing. Later that same character finally has a butterfly, but it lays dead in her hands, and yet even so she holds it to her chest cherishing it. If the butterfly is symbolic of death, what does it mean that this character is avoided by the butterfly and is only able to acquire one that is already dead? Ending 3 is a masterpiece in visual symbolism.
Holy shit that’s awesome I would have never caught all that thank you! Man you know so much who needs google 😂I appreciate all the in-depth analysis! Only makes me want to watch more!
all the endings are incredibly subtle with its symbolism, you might not even fully get it even if you watched the series the song lyrics of each of the songs are also tailored to the anime
@@Randombagofchipsawesome! When you get to season 2 episode 2, find the full op for season 2 part 1 with the lyrics translated, and pay attention to who the lyrics are about because they show Subaru's entire mental state from that point onto part 2. The ed for it as well but I think the 3rd op is incredible. Unless you don't like the sad parts, then maybe don't! 😅
Yeah there’s just a lot of waifus running around which I get it but would have been cool to so more of the male characters! Like the guy w red hair he looks awesome
There's one particular scene in one particular ep where ED 2 plays while the ep is still going and I'll just say that it was a scene that evoked certain emotions from me
I have ! But I figured my channel is so small still I kinda wanted to build it up first and have a little community but it means a lot that you’d say that thank you! I will def start one!
In regards to the red haired swordsman, once you've finished with the series, there's a video that delves into his powers and abilities, op is an understatement. Btw, as this is an adaptatation of a light novel series, things do unfortunately get cut, I can tell you what was cut from the episode you are watching in the comments as you post the series. Some of it is interesting, some of it is quite important. Let me know if you'd be interested.
It'll be fun to have you theory crafting after each episode. Ending 2 is great, it also has the golden line sketches of characters easy to miss. I love that and ed4. You maybe should check some of its ost I'd say, but maybe not cuz it's an experience to have it with the anime and I personally think it'll be better. Butterfly symbolism has been already explained along with the red haired guy, though it'll be spoilerish already. But even the title & openings are. Kadokawa are producers, White fox is the animation studio. They have even paid off advertisers in season 2 & skipping the op&ed at places to have all they could adapt and do Light Novel justice. Nearly all has been adapted & stuff left off mostly seems on purpose except 1-2 details which just add weight to scene than story, whereas intentionally left stuff is story relevant.
Oh yeah that’d be fun! And yeah the endings are so good ! I thought about doing ost before I love a good soundtrack and damn it looks like the put a lot of the into the adaptation! That’s always good especially for light novels

While i love these ed's and op's, it does bother me that the male characters are often not shown, this show has a great male and female cast.
