MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ST SEASON 3!
Stranger Things s3 was amazing and emotional! Probably my favorite season yet. The final episode destroyed me, between the Billy & Eleven moment and then Hopper's death....
I'm quite confident that Hop is still alive, though, and is the american mentioned in the post-credit scene. I really don't know how the writers could do this to El, though. My poor baby girl was put through the ringer this season, physically and emotionally.
Anyway, to explain this vid a bit: I felt this song was perfect for their relationship. When they met each other, Jim was a man haunted by the death of his daughter, a man closed off and unsure of how to live again after losing what was most important to him.
El was an abused child whose only 'parental' figure was also her abuser, tormentor, and kidnapper. She never knew real parental love.
Both of them went through the ups and downs of formulating that parent/child relationship in s2. In season 3 we got to see how well-adjusted El turned out to be, and how much light she's brought to Jim's life.
They repaired something in each other, fixed something that was broken. I'm so sad for El that she lost that father. Hopefully not for good, though.

Her "dad" was terrible person that never loved his daughter, but Hopper not like that. Hopper loved El as his real daughter. El gave Hopper another chance to be father again and Hopper gave El love that she never felt before.

Actually there is a 50% chance that Hopper isn’t dead because it could be Brenner. Just think about it Brenner in the 1st season it looked like he died but we actually didn’t know if he was dead or not. In season 2 it is brought to us that Brenner could still be alive. And in season 3 there is the scene where they said “not the American” it could be Brenner or Hopper. When that hit me i was crying so much idk 😐 what to believe anymore 😭😭😪

For those of you complaining about the song title being "wrong" - I'm more than aware that it's called "Lovely." I love the song. The lyrics say "isn't it lovely?" though, and I chose to use that as the VIDEO title. It's a personal choice. That doesn't make it wrong. I listed the proper song name IN the video and it's also in the description.

He didn’t die see the teaser for season four
Hopper had lost his only light in his life ( his kid sarah). And Eleven never ever had a family all she had was her powers and friend but never a family. Hopper was lost and so was El. Hopper waited for El to come to him. They found eachother and Hopper saw that as a chance to become a dad again. Even though they fought he was trying to keep her safe and trying to make sure he didnt loose the only part left of him. Jim Hopper went from calling her "Kid" to saying that she is his daughter and she is and he loves her just like he did with Sarah. He will do anything to keep her safe and protect her from anything that comes to face with her. I love these to x
