Hey everybody! Everyone says there's no better alternative to traditional vocal coaching when learning to sing...but is that true?? I recently tried a new service for online singing lessons called Singdaptive - it's an online vocal coaching platform that offers affordable, personalized learning for singers. It's really different from others I've tried and I've got a lot to say about it! It definitely helped me and I think all aspiring vocalists should know about it.

I played trumpet for 10 years. So you are doing a chromatic scale? I was using my oldest son's guitar and found out the string(s) do a chromatic scale. We love your videos.

Hello! Do you mind if I get some tips from you about singing? I think it'd be better to ask someone than go through millions of videos & apps or try and find vocal coaches just to probably not get my answer.
You can ask a question! But honestly that’s what’s so great about singdaltive. It’s not a bunch of videos to search thru…it’s one on one direct communication and questions with a vocal coach. Tbh I’m just some girl on the internet, singdaptive has people who know what they’re talking about
@@BrennaLynn Well, tbh I hate talking to people one-on-one lol. I'm pretty introverted, so I'd rather talk to some girl on the internet than face-to-face with a coach if that makes any sense. My family calls me weird for it, but that's just how I am lol
@@BrennaLynn I've tried some vocal warm-ups exercises in the past and found lip trills to be one of my favorite (and the only one I can remember lol). I noticed that when I do the trills, I manage to stay in key and not bounce up and down in pitch, but that only lasts a few minutes. Idk if I should be doing it for longer for more long-term results, or if there's another warm-up that'll give me the results I'm looking for.

I have a question. In your songs do you use autotune or something like that or is it just your voice?
It is just my voice in my first EP on spotify (and other music services). Most of my RUclips videos are all just my voice as well. However, I have used mild pitch correction, especially to clean up background stacked vocals to avoid "muddiness" that can come from being slightly out of tune. For example, I did this on "Sleep Sound" (on Spotify and other music services). Definitely nothing crazy though! Very mild tuning that's generally hard to tell the difference between the before/after tuning.

@@7-bitdillpickle203 I wouldn't say that! Lol I've worked very hard on my voice and I still think it has a ton of flaws. I've gotten plenty of criticism here on RUclips as well as other places!

As a vocal coach, I’m not sure I like Singdaptive, lol.

@@madieinez732 to be clear, I haven’t used it. I’m simply saying, I prefer the one on one approach :)
We totally get why vocal coaches can be skeptical. Many of the coaches on our platform started that way as well:-) We are one-on-one, just not in real-time. That being said, we're not out to replace live lessons. There will always be a place for live lessons and what they provide is fantastic. What we find is there are many singers because of time, location, cost, confidence, etc. - enjoy the flexibility and freedom of asynchronous lessons. We actually have vocal coaches that use our serve for their own development for exactly that reason - if you're a vocal coach, try it out and let us know what you think!
