About the fences: In most Stadiums, there are also fenced-in areas, so fans cant fight...Mostly works...
Another thing: When the rivals of my team play here against us, their fans get escorted back to the train station by a lot of police in full riot gear, so there arent any fights outside the stadium...

You can go literally to any city in Europe and you will find stuff like that. Each city have their team, some big cities have different teams too. Even small cities and small clubs have a big fanbase, because in Europe people doesn't only go to watch the matches, they go to support the team that have been part of the city for more than 100 years in some cases, and to show pride for them own land. Althought you can find good atmospheres in every match, the craziest crowdes doesn't happen for all games, It usually happens for important matches like decisive matches for the club, european level matches and derbies. A derby is when two teams from the same city play against each other. Normally there's a big rivalry between teams from same city, and the hole city goes crazy during the derby day. Also some teams from different cities have historical rivalries. Sometimes can be dangerous as well, see Partizan vs Red Star or Hajduk Split vs Dinamo Zagreb for example, but there are thousand of matches that can be very violent.
In Spain, where Im from, we have different rivalries like Sevilla-Betis or Celta de Vigo-Deportivo de la Coruña, that when teams plays against each other there's a big atmosphere around the city, and the stadium goes full of supporters prepared to encourage them teams. In El Clasico, when the two biggest teams, Barcelona and Real Madrid play against each other, there's also a huge atmospheres in the cities, but big teams in the latests years sold the spirit of this matches and nowadays the stadium for this event is full of tourists, that doesn't care that much about the passion for the team.

Hi brother, I’m also an ultra at a football club from the Netherlands.
Sometimes the firework is already in the stadium before the game.
Or we all get it in.
Put it in our shoes, underwear where they don’t search you.
It’s illegal but we say: no pyro no party.
    You have also Hooligans.
    They come for the fights.
You might need to react to that also.
They fight other hooligans groups from other cities.
Not even at the stadium but also in the woods.

That "small stadium" at Leeds has a capacity of 37792. The one at the beginning is A field on Liverpool. Capacity 53394. Visible across the park is Goodison Park, capacity 39572. We have multiple stadia like these. There are 92 professional football clubs in the English League and Premier League. The EPL has an average attendance of 40000 per game in a 760 game season. England is the size of Louisiana.
On the whole, you support your home club until death. That club is part of the community and will never relocate,(Looking at you Raiders and Rams). To loosely paraphrase the great Liverpool manager Bill Shankley:
"Some people say that football is a matter of life and death. I can assure you it's much more important than that."
For the record, US collegiate sport IS professional sports. The players are receiving a financial incentive to play in the form of scholarships. Sport in UK universities is strictly an amateur pastime, even if some do go on to be pro.

I'm from near Glasgow and a Celtic fan . Football literally is a religion here . We have the biggest crowds per head of population worldwide. In Glasgow, both Celtic and Rangers average between 50,000 to 60,000 every game.
Sport is a pastime in the USA , I find it ridiculous that NFL teams just up and move city and everyone turns up to watch the new team as if they were lifelong fans.

I liked your enthusiasm and have Subscribed.I am in my 7th decade of attending(what was) my local team in South East London. We moved grounds HALF A MILE 29 years ago and older fans still have not forgiven them. Before Football became 24/7 on TV all throughout' the year (it seems) most fans supported their local teams but with mass exposure and concentration on the glamour Clubs and the stronger emphasis on WINNING trophies and easier transport then it is more 50/50 now, split between your local Club and the major teams(though Manchester United ALWAYS had fans from all over)

Its funny that you upload videos from both basket and football from Greece and you like the tunes. But me as a Greek who understands the chants i laugh because its all about swearing the opponents, their cities, their families etc. We are very, very passionate about our supporting teams and sometimes we cross the red line of passion and becomes a riot against the cops or the rival supporters. Due to these riots fans are forbidden to travel to other cities. Sometimes the atmosphere is magic, but sometimes it gets really wild.

Stupidity but its not that this is daily occurance, 20years/2murders and thats it

The football season in europe starts in August till May. Every second years is a world cup or a European Cup. Bad example, 2022 ist the world cup in quatar from november 21st to december 18th. this is just for this world world, cause it would be to hot to play in quatar from mid june to mid july, when to WC noramly takes place. The World Cup in Qatar is a very controversial competition as Qatar does not represent the value they want to represent with world football. Openness towards religions, sexuality or gender identity. On top of that, the World Cup was bought. Normally, a lot is drawn from a pot full of applicants to determine which country will host the World Cup. The evidence is actually open that this was not the case with this World Cup and with previous World Cups. In addition, many people lost their lives during the construction of the stadiums and had to live in subhuman conditions for years in order to earn money and feed their families in their home countries.
Clubs season: August to May with a winter break that each league decides for itself.
International Cups: June to July, WC and EC alternately every year with even diggets at the end. 2022 WC, 2024 EC, 2026 WC yada yada.
edit: the big difference to US sport and why I can doubt you that you see stuff like that in the states. This Chants, this passion starts before the game starts and goes till the games ends, sometimes even longer. There are just rare moments that the fants are not singing. The chants are coming from the fans, espacially the ultras, not of any speakers, cause its not common to play music in the game in europe. There are unwritten rules, like that you dont leave the stadium till the game is over, no matter how its going. It doesnt depend in which league (europe has way different league systems like in US sports) from the 1st division to the 4th, 5th of lower. I personaly know people that spent there whole vacation days to watch there teams away games. To Sing, shout, fight for the win with passion, energy and giving 1000% are totaly normale in EU sports also if you have to edure sorrow at times when the club sucks are. You really can not compare Ultras in EU Football with some college kids who dance if a song comes from the speakers or any videowalls tell you.

Nearly fell of my seat when you asked if football is serious in Scotland? Have you never heard of the Old Firm? The atmosphere at Celtic v Rangers/Rangers vCeltic is Volatile! Football is a religion here, it's ALL we talk about! A British Diplomat sitting with you would also have fallen of his seat laughing at what you said! When Celtic play Rangers politics and religion are DRAGGED into the scene! The World Cup, every 4 yrs, is a few weeks away and is THE biggest individual sport event in the world! Billions around the world will watch a fantastic mix of different football culture's! It all started in 1930 pausing only for WW2! The USA hosted it in 1994 and you had no idea what you were getting to host!
