Just to be clear and perhaps you weren't really paying close attention he took several breaths during that high operatic phrase.
Not only is Slavic Bazaar a top-notch annual event but Dimash himself has excellent sound techs. Of course they can control mic volume as necessary during a live performance not to mention the fact that Dimash is a master at mic control himself. He has performed this live on several occasions and they're all different in some aspect. However, at the end right before the slide up and the runs down, he took one breath and sustained that breath till the very end of those runs. About 23-24 seconds. I think you probably missed that because you were being quite vocal during those runs.

Take it easy, no reason to be hostile! For most reactors, it’s their first listen so it’s impossible to pick up everything (and most are still in shock and processing what just happened previously). It’s attitudes like this that turns reactors off and stop reacting to Dimash!

Yes he is live and sometimes some things are hard to accept in life when someone like You meets someone like Dimash. We get to see how you react because he has that effect on really good singers like youv hearing him for first time.
So it's easy to Hope Dimash is not always LIVE. I imagine for a trained talented singer like yourself that at the same time Dimash is inspiring; it can almost be slightly demoralizing.
We're here to help you or inspire you or possibly convince you that he's alien if that helps.

THANK YOU for another Dimashreaction!! 🙏😃
I saw him live at the concert in Riga/Lathvia just before the pandemic went crazy. Second row in the middle...... He is OUT OF THIS WORLD...... And he pushes the limits beyond what was considered humanly possible.. And he actually sounds even better live than in the musicvideos. I heard that a lot before I went to the concert. And I was thinking to myself that that was not possible. But it actually was...
And he DID take a breath in that first part you meantioned. But the climax belting at the end followed with a downwards riff/runs is in one breath (24 seconds... 😱😱😱).....
Peace and Love from Dear in Sweden!

The band, A-Studio from Kazakhstan, wrote the song in 1998 and was the backing band for much of the festival/competition. Dimash was doing a pro spot and picked one of their songs that he grew up listening to.
It also doesn't hurt to have a backing band that has been playing the song for 20 years.
"Do you know Sinful Passion?" "Uh, yeah, we wrote it when you were 4." "Well, I have a few changes ..."
It's a big festival, so they would have a solid sound crew. It would be really difficult to do pre-recorded in such a large, live venue. Maybe some audio touch-up after the fact. You can see where he has been without the band for the whole glottal trill and lament section and then he hits the big belting notes and he uses the drums to re-sync timing between the band and himself. Then he uses the big up-slide to re-establish pitch between him and the band.
He has really good pitch, but he's playing it safe and making ways to join together again. That's because it is backwards - he's already singing and the band is coming in instead of the reverse. All of this sync work smells more like live than recorded.
The last big belt, upslide and descending runs were on one breath - about 23 seconds.

There have been discussions whether this version is completely live or - at least in part - pre-recorded, but there are versions that are for sure live, so he can do it.
One recording that is 100% a live performance is Unforgettable Day at the Gakku music festival, where he does something incredible, even for him.

Thanks for another brilliant reaction. Sinful Passion was originally written and performed in 1998 by a Russian-based Kazakh band called A-Studio who also accompanied Dimash for this performance. At the end of the video, Dimash humbly thanked A-Studio. The gentleman in white who gave him a standing ovation is Igor Krutoy, a famous Russian composer, who's written several amazing songs for Dimash.
The interesting vocal style Dimash used towards the end of the song is called a vocal trill which is a classical technique and is the least familiar of the vocal manoeuvers. A singer with an even, rapid trill is a rarity. The director of the Rossini Opera Festival, Alberto Zedda has opined in ab interview that the "widespread technical deficiency", the inability to trill, is a source of "frustration and anguish".
Dimash added a Yakuti yodel to the trill and did it to perfection. It’s wonderful that he’s introduced this classical technique into a pop song for the benefit of the non-classical world.

Moreover, if Dimash is pre recorded in any event, then one can conclude that ever other artist out there is too! And, if and when they are, they still don’t come close to sounding like Dimash!!!!! I have a doubt about the last part starting from the soprano section as it sounds identical to the other renditions of this song. It doesn't matter though.. he had to sing it anyway at some point!
Also, during the soprano section, he took his breath at least 3 times. It's actually during the last run that he doesn't breath for like 23 seconds straight with a belt, riffs and runs etc...
I didn't understand your point regarding the quiet singing and the performance being pre recorded? The sound has obviously been "cleaned" before they uploaded it, isn't it a common TV practice anyway? I mean it's not like he was live broadcasting from his living room 😋

Why do you have a problem with his capabilities ??
Dimash’s surname, Qudaibergen, means Given By God, and his upbringing with an operatic mother and singing father, in an national environment where the arts and sports are taught right throughout school and college years, has been directed from above. So, since he was 2 years old, he has known that his life would be onstage. He started learning singing and piano at 5 in an academy, and now is going for a Doctorate in ? some aspect of music, having already a Masters Degree in Composition, and was offered a position in the opera at Astana (he is a Kazakh from Kazakhstan in Asia) which he turned down in order to pursue his own goals on the stage in neo classical pop opera jazz and most everything else that is out there.
He has been gifted at birth with drive, tenacity, beautiful appreciation of everything good, humility, Asian manners, a good memory, wisdom and he soaks up knowledge. You can’t help but notice all this and more as you watch him perform and if you analyse his lifestyle and travels.
Dimash is awarded as a National Treasure in Kazakhstan, and he displays Kazakh heritage in his concerts.
So, this is all real, and so is he, and he is just starting to be world known as he has fans/Dears in 140+ countries, and everyone with class and brains wants to know him, and is in love with him, as he loves them all too…genuinely.
If you stay, you will enjoy the ride…it will be (almost ?) endless as we are in the end times, and this is meant to be part of it.
His frequencies, many of which are delivered in long notes, are used in some clinics to heal depression, and many fans claim to have received varying degrees of healing and refreshing from frequently listening to his songs.
He is addictive to those who love him…beware.

Pronunciation (stress goes on the syllables in all caps): Dee MOSH Koo dye bear GHENN ("dye" rhymes with "die" and "sky")

To an English ear, ‘Mosh’ isn’t the right pronunciation, as we say the ‘o’ sound differently from people in the US. For us, it should sound like the word ‘marsh’’. (Accents can confuse - and all native speakers have one, whether they acknowledge it or not, lol!)

    • @Grumpy_Rabbit
      @Grumpy_Rabbit 2 года назад +1

@@BelleNewman Yes, we all have accents. As for 'mosh,' I was thinking of "mosh pit," which in my dialect of American English rhymes with the french word 'vache' (cow,) as in 'La vache qui rit' (the laughing cow.)

    • @BelleNewman
      @BelleNewman 2 года назад +1

@@Grumpy_Rabbit Yes - we also have the words ‘mosh’, ‘dosh’, ‘posh’ - none of which gives the correct ‘ahhhh’ sound in English English, sadly! (I also speak French, and ‘vache’ wouldn’t work either, as it rhymes with ‘mash’, ‘dash’ etc, in our accent .. it’s complicated, isn’t it?!)

Hi Jamaal....I love your reactions. As for whether it is live or not, I can assure you that in this case it is. If there was work with the sound engineer, I don't know but I do know his body and facial movements when Dimash sings live.....in the link below you will see the same song in a concert where he does playback and I understand that it is to rest your instrument... Dimash is a 100% professional vocalist and artist.. Besides his range and mesmerizing breath control, his colourful vocal shades and colours make him once in a generation phenomenon and a very unique talent. I wish you, in your reaction would control your volume and give it varied shades to represent related emotional response. You use one volume (LOUD) all through his performance which was drowning his voice and which makes it quite irksome. Maybe you have placed your microphone too near to you. Your sound much louder than Dimash. I hope you will accept my critique kindly because it is intended without any malice. Thanks.

Ive watched a few now and your all the same .. you constantly interupt the singer who is singing with your inane comments
Why not just LISTEN to the song and at the end make as many comments as you want otherwise it just comes across as crass and insulting

    I
I gave you a dislike and changed to unsubscribed. You’d make a statement throwing shade at Dimash right at the beginning before hardly hearing anything. Dimash has fans in every country of the world and is a RUclips legend. On his channel he has over 120 live video performances. You played with Dimash here. You said he lip synced then you’d take it back, but you kept doing it all the way through the video. The piano player wrote this song that the AStudio band on stage sang with their lead singer years ago. The piano player asked Dimash to sing this song at this memorial for their lead singer. Dimash put the throat singing in as it is used traditionally in his country for funerals. I gaurenteed you would never say Michael Jackson lip synced. Dimash is better than Michael or Freddy Mercury. Dimash had perfect pitch at 5 years of age and was put in the music academy at the university. He was on stage at 2. Then singing on stage at 5 and won his first piano contest at 5. He had two masters at 22 in classical and contemporary music and is in his doctorate now. He sings in 13 languages and plays 8 instruments. You just choose the wrong person to mess around with what you know or don’t know. Dimash was here by special invitation for a memorial.

Hi there... You seem like a nice person and I don't wanna be rude, but this Dimash reaction of yours in particular was a bit over the top. You are constantly talking over the song and it's kind of annoying. It would be great for the future videos if you could just tone it down a bit and maybe pause the song and then comment on it. Just an idea.🙂
