I recommend corner trapping if it’s a double stack and the manticore is in the back, run from the ‘A’ tile to the SE tile to trap the first mob and solo kill the 2nd. I also use this if it’s a ranger in the front and shaman in the back.
This is a really great guide, namely how to properly deal with the fremenniks with a budget setup. I think you could’ve put a little more detail on how to deal with Wave 10 and 11 reinforcements where the shaman is in front, and you have things attacking you from the south. as the reinforcement shaman spawns, you can step a bit further west to let it hit you once or twice, staggering the shaman and putting it behind the minotaur, ofc can try to swap to mage for it but better to tank 1-2hits than to get overwhelmed when it finally does walk up

I'm upset I didn't include this in the guide, because this does mess up runs sometimes and can be fixed. Instead of *hoping* that the shaman off ticks itself we can choose when the shaman sees us by running into his line of spot. If you're in the spot we see at 22:25 we can run to the tile north of the a+b tile and the shaman will see us. This allows us to engage the shaman when the southern monster is not attacking us. I had a pretty good clip demonstrating this, I just forgot to include it - my apologies! The ideal time would be right when the southern monster attacks (in this case a ranger) switch to pray mage and run to that northern tile, this should guarantee them to be off-tick and you can flick between the ranger and mager.

Thank you, sir! Great guide, easy to follow for slow old dogs like me :D The solves are a great section. I'm trying to find a video showing examples of how to deal with the south spawns. E.g. manticore+ranger/mage or ranger+mage. I watched the guy's video, but he didn't show any examples. I understand what to do, but it'd be really nice if there was a video with someone showing the different scenarios, off-ticking utilizing the A and B tiles. Do you know if such a video exists?
im actually looking for the same video let me know if you find one ;-; Also also 18:55 does anyone know what to do if they are same tick but different styles? Do we just panic tile?
@@TheSnappyDragon pecanbread does have one clip. Run to the tile the manticore spawns on (A or B) and pray against the other one. You can kill 1 or 2 frems before the manticore starts attacking. You should then automatically be off-tick, as the ranger/mage’s attacks are both before the manticore’s attacks. If you find it hard to run the frems while flicking, try the mage method and ice barrage them, move west and auto-bloodbarrage the ranger frem. Then you can focus 100% on the flicking. Good luck
There's a example, but it's when you have a "Pyramid" layout but the guy in front and the second guy are different attack styles you use the blue tile to get them on different ticks
Thank you!!! ive been waiting weeks for someone to make an indepth guide. appricate the a,b offtick solves, destacking and predodging tiles for sol. Great job compiling all the latest solving tools into one video. Thoughts on bringing a dragon warhammer?
I swear every time on wave 6 I get a double spawn to the south and get killed. I'm not super confident in my A/B offticking but usually it's a shaman so it doesn't work anyway. Can't figure out what the heck to do... Any tips?
If it's a manticore+shaman coming at you from the south I would recommend doing the "bonus solve" mentioned and switching to pray range and handling the Frem to the north of the pillar. You should be able to "wiggle" the shaman off the manticore as shown. If it's a ranger and serpent shaman and you wait at a they should off tick themselves, it's just a matter of getting comfortable flicking them. Just think of them as a mini-manticore, instead of 3 flicks you only have 2 :)
If you have two monsters stacked south of the pillar, the stack solves dont work anymore. Do those rely on them being west of pillar? How do mechanics change if they are south? For instance I have a Javelin behind a Serpent shaman.
For the NPC tile indicators. "holding shift and right click" does NOT let you select their color. I am still trying to figure that out, but the NPC indicators plugin does not have that feature in the shift rightlick menu
It only works if the npc is already tagged, so you shift right click them again to select color. This is only for the runelite client, but iirc Adam added it a few months ago
the only wave killers for me now is when a ranger and a shocker or a ranger and a mage spawn on a and b (south). wave 6 and even later rounds =/ its frustrating. i am confident with all other solves. everytime i try and run to a diff pillar i get slapt lol. thank you so much for your guide! this has been so very helpfulllll!!!!!
So something worth a test, I haven’t tried colosseum but I heard gnomonkey mentioning this although he was doing runs from a different spot. Supposedly if you stand west of the a tile by a square or 2 when the reinforcements spawn then if the shaman is in front of the melee then it will attack you causing it to be behind the melee. If it works you can guarantee to safe spot both of them for just 1 hit, and if the mage is behind the melee you can probably move to a safe spot before the shaman has a chance to attack since they are relatively short range. Sorry if it doesn’t work on this pillar, I can’t remember which one gnomonkey was using.
Not sure if you will reply to this but what can I do to avoid the Mager spawning on the left side after the minotaur? How do I consistently have them off ticked with whatever Im facing on the right side - (all from the pillar in the video)
So when the manger spawns in front and you want to ensure the off tick, if you run to the tile 1 north of a+b you can choose when the manger sees you. So say a ranger is south, right after ranger attacks pray mage and run 1 north of a+b and you should be able to flick the 2.same with a manticore
If a mage and ranger spawns on tiles A and B, can I run to tile A, wait until they both see me, and offtick pray the two while killling the fremmies? I have a tough time getting this right when a mage/ranger spawns south of the pillar.
You can run to either a or b, they will off tick each other and you can flick them. In either position a will see you first then b. It's a bit easier than the manticore though because the timing isn't as strict, say a ranger is at a and a mager is at b. We can run to tile a and pray range while dealing with Frem, right when the ranger gets line of sight and attacks us we can begin walking to the "walk" tile and switch to pray mage. From here it's just alternating between range and mage prayer
no i dont mean a and B spawns i mean the small shaman guy thats spawns near the middle but doesnt get trapped. like you show @17:00 soemtimes you can go north and its fine but i sometimes for example get a manti trapped at NE pillar, so i cant go north, so i have to stay on west side of pillar but i have fremmys, manticore and small mage that isnt offticked@@PenSirOSRS
@@Shortdood ohh I see what you mean. So that should only be happening on waves 3-6 because the little guy doesn't spawn after that, if we get a shaman and manticore from the south we can pray range (because they are the only other spawns on those waves) and deal with fremeniks from the north of the pillar. This will line up the manti and shaman in a way that's easy to deal with so after you kill the fremmenik run behind the pillar again with pray range
On early waves before the mage spawn changes to shockwave collossus, I have trouble with serpent shaman and javelin collossus spawning south and being on the same tick. Its the only thing that ends my runs early. Any tips for this?
Your space is limited but you have to wait a certain amount of ticks between attacks, so it's easier to walk to stall while waiting to attack after shadow, but you can attack quicker after Ven bow(range in general) so we don't need to stall our movement as much

I use "corner tile indicators" for the plug in and under "current tile" I have highlight true tile checked with green as the color and a slightly tinted fill, border width set to 2 (may lower this honestly), corners only checked and "fade out" checked with the time set to 1500ms. Gl with your Colo runs!
amazing guide for some reason i can not get the lines to copy and paste i found the plug in and made my on lines but i cannot delete the ones i messed up on by chance dose anyone know how to get rid of my uhho lines??
In runelite on the right where the line marker plug in is (little blue zig zag icon) if you click it there should be a side panel of all of your lines. You should be able to edit/delete them from that side panel
3s to turn on protect range, figure out where the mino spawns, click on the right pillar tile and right click the melee frem. I'mma need another 10 extra seconds for that.
ive started doing the wave on game tick 1 and running to tile a on game tick one, wave 3 now keeps giving me mage rager over and over now on south spwan. is this unlucky or am i still clicking too early? this questions to anyone who knows what im talking about
Record yourself, You could be unlucky, you could be not blocking a spawn properly, you can find the spawns online, see where your true tile is when the spawn happens, if a monster spawns in a supposed "blocked" spawn, you are too late or too early.
For the cheap setup, which runes should I bring? In the video, it says fire, death, blood and cosmics, but this combination only allows me to cast blood blitz. Thanks!
@@PenSirOSRS Great! Also a big thumbs up for the quality of this guide! Liked and subscribed. After about 10 tries, I got till wave 8 but I'm struggling hard with the random south spawns. I might have to look into finding a panic tile next to another pillar to run to
Question about your method of starting the waves, have you ever had it where the minions spawn 1 tick later than they should? I have a clip where I spam click upon starting the wave and because the minions are a tick later I get a south spawn. Do you know why this happens/how to prevent it?
@@PenSirOSRS Yeah thanks I got it now. I tried to import them through the world map thing like with tile markers and it wasn't working. Didn't realize the line markers thing was in the side panel.
both, didn't see a solve example for it in the vid, the only south spawn solves were always with a manticore, i'm assuming you have to set up an off tick somehow
@@changyin6931 for ranger/shockwave you can use tile a or b, they will off tick like how they do with a manticore. For ranger/shaman after you pray range and see him attack switch to pray mage and run 1 tile south of the ab for shaman to attack you. This will make them attack at different ticks

Good luck
the third position at 38:39 is wrong? what if it is shield 2 but you hv just stepped 1 step back
I would have a quiver without you. I focused and I got this right. Thank you.
Awesome guide. Managed to get my Quiver (and 5 more after that!). Any chance you can do a wave solve guide for Inferno?
I only have 1 kc at the inferno at the moment, I plan on learning in depth soon - so maybe!
Nice guide!
Thank you!!
Hi what happens if a shockwave and ranger spawn on a and b? if i run to a tile, are they off tick?
After 20 trys found this video. First try after watching this got mt dam quiver
22:24 How do you deal with a shaman attacking on the same tick as a south NPC?
I don't understand when to use the green vs blue destack tiles, does anyone know?
There's a example, but it's when you have a "Pyramid" layout but the guy in front and the second guy are different attack styles you use the blue tile to get them on different ticks
@@PenSirOSRSmakes sense, thank you!
Awesome video, makes me want to take a stab at the coliseum on the main...
but its VEN-UH-TUR bow!
i keep getting hit by the fremmeniks what am i doing wrong here?
Thank you!!! ive been waiting weeks for someone to make an indepth guide. appricate the a,b offtick solves, destacking and predodging tiles for sol. Great job compiling all the latest solving tools into one video. Thoughts on bringing a dragon warhammer?
If I got to the boss 2-3 times with plenty of supplies I would probably start bringing a dwh! Especially if you don't have a scythe
how do i add the lines i cant find anything on how to anywhere please help
There's a "line markers" plugin in the plugin hub to get
I swear every time on wave 6 I get a double spawn to the south and get killed.
Same dude
Thank you so much for the guide, got my first kc :)
If you have two monsters stacked south of the pillar, the stack solves dont work anymore. Do those rely on them being west of pillar? How do mechanics change if they are south? For instance I have a Javelin behind a Serpent shaman.
one tip - for the perfect parry, i've found spamclicking the equipment slot as soon as possible gets me the perfect parry every time
For the NPC tile indicators.
Stuff like this is what I’m looking for! A consistent way to either offtick the shaman or get the melee in front
question: what are your potion plugins for the visual when you can drink again and see potion stack
"consumable cool down"
Thank you!!!
@@PenSirOSRS Got my first KC today. Thank you amigo, this is probably the best guide out there.
If a mage and ranger spawns on tiles A and B, can I run to tile A, wait until they both see me, and offtick pray the two while killling the fremmies? I have a tough time getting this right when a mage/ranger spawns south of the pillar.
Yup! This is usually how I handle them
which tile to go/or what to do if a mager and ranger colossi/colossus spawns on A/B south tiles in waves 7-11?
so what do you do @17:00 if its a ranger and mager not manticore? this has killed me so many times
The "bonus solve" section at 15:11 shows what you're talking about I think
thanks, i thought i had this happen on later waves too but i guess not, ty!@@PenSirOSRS
how do u copy the tile markers using pastebin? thanks for the help
Just highlight all the text, right click and hit copy :)
How do you make the NPC's highlighted in yellow when you hover over them? My misclicks are terrible here
On early waves before the mage spawn changes to shockwave collossus, I have trouble with serpent shaman and javelin collossus spawning south and being on the same tick. Its the only thing that ends my runs early. Any tips for this?
what is the benefit of alternating walking and running to manage the trio ?
Your space is limited but you have to wait a certain amount of ticks between attacks, so it's easier to walk to stall while waiting to attack after shadow, but you can attack quicker after Ven bow(range in general) so we don't need to stall our movement as much
Whats the plug in for when Sol pulls you and your character says the item to grab out loud?
people cried to jagex so they removed it was called watchdog
Which Runelite plugin got you that cool green crosshair true tile for your player?
"corner tiles" I like it
Awesome guide, would it be possible to upload a full run? Just to see how it goes from start to finish. You could even skip on the commentary:) (Though it's highly appreciated!)
Earned a new sub!
I convinced my wife to let me use her account so I can upload a full run on a mid-level budget build this week. We have today off, but I'll probably do it tomorrow!
@@PenSirOSRS Thanks a bunch! Using your guide I've finally reached wave 10, but keep "cashing out" because I am scared to lose rewards. I feel that I'll be able to reach Sol Heredit soon though:)
took me 1 min to realize how long it took on that cow with you scythe XD. i had to rewind and go watch halfway through to confirm
Mega rare btw
What gear would be recommended if I have max range and mage (tbow and shadow) but don't have a scythe? Would that still just be tentacle whip + defender or is there something better to bring?
Tentacle whip+defender, or saeldor if you have that! You can dwh him at the beginning if you're comfortable bringing a extra switch
@@PenSirOSRS Thank you!! I just made it to wave 10 on my *third try* using your guide!! I'm gonna have this quiver faster than I ever thought I would, thank you so much for the guide
what is the point of the b tile? you always run to a or a+b
What do you do if you have a mage and range spawn in south, and a manticore or another ranger spawn for east? I've run into this like 60% of my runs and I can't get a solve for it that doesn't have me take a ton of damage.
Thank you for this guide!
What is the true tile marker you have? What are the settings?
I use "corner tile indicators" for the plug in and under "current tile" I have highlight true tile checked with green as the color and a slightly tinted fill, border width set to 2 (may lower this honestly), corners only checked and "fade out" checked with the time set to 1500ms.
Gl with your Colo runs!
@@PenSirOSRS What a guy. Thank you so much. GL on your chnnel!
amazing guide for some reason i can not get the lines to copy and paste i found the plug in and made my on lines but i cannot delete the ones i messed up on by chance dose anyone know how to get rid of my uhho lines??
In runelite on the right where the line marker plug in is (little blue zig zag icon) if you click it there should be a side panel of all of your lines. You should be able to edit/delete them from that side panel
@@PenSirOSRSthankyou sir! Also I got to wave 10 cuz of your guide thankyou sir I actually feel I can do this now
3s to turn on protect range, figure out where the mino spawns, click on the right pillar tile and right click the melee frem.
What settings do you use to have the balls for solar flare and their true tiles highlighted??
6:10 ?
@@iNbl00D haha thankyou i missed that
For the cheap setup, which runes should I bring? In the video, it says fire, death, blood and cosmics, but this combination only allows me to cast blood blitz. Thanks!
Bring blood barrage runes so you can heal while safe spotting - good luck!
@@PenSirOSRS Thanks! Also, how did you get the solar orb tagged? I can't seem to find the ID of it.
@@samwalschap791 is "12826" in better npc highlight under true tile. Good luck!
@@PenSirOSRS Great! Also a big thumbs up for the quality of this guide! Liked and subscribed. After about 10 tries, I got till wave 8 but I'm struggling hard with the random south spawns. I might have to look into finding a panic tile next to another pillar to run to
Goddamn this shit is hard, definitely not having a good time lol great guide though I’ll get it down sooner or later
Question about your method of starting the waves, have you ever had it where the minions spawn 1 tick later than they should? I have a clip where I spam click upon starting the wave and because the minions are a tick later I get a south spawn. Do you know why this happens/how to prevent it?
I can't get the line markers to work. What am I doing wrong?
@@jerejarvinen625 do you have the line marker plug in? It's separate from the tile marker plug in and can be found in the plug in hub
@@PenSirOSRS Yeah thanks I got it now. I tried to import them through the world map thing like with tile markers and it wasn't working.
Didn't realize the line markers thing was in the side panel.
Best guide I have found so far! One question. When I import the line markers It is not showing. Do I need to download a plugin for it to show?
Yeah there is a specific "line markers" plug in you can get for it. Glad you liked the video! Good luck!
Great guide. Thanks :)
what if A and B spawn have mage and ranger?
You can use either A or B tiles, both tiles serve to get the enemies on different ticks. Good question!
Put me in Coach!
how to handle ranger + mager south spawns? running north means that reinforcements + the other spawns will hit you
The shaman mager or Shockwave dude?
both, didn't see a solve example for it in the vid, the only south spawn solves were always with a manticore, i'm assuming you have to set up an off tick somehow
@@changyin6931 for ranger/shockwave you can use tile a or b, they will off tick like how they do with a manticore. For ranger/shaman after you pray range and see him attack switch to pray mage and run 1 tile south of the ab for shaman to attack you. This will make them attack at different ticks
Great guide!
If you could only use one, tbow, shadow, or scythe to complete your first Colosseum - which would you use?
Thanks! Just got my quiver at 101 death.
What do I do if I don’t have shadow
How do you get the orbs to show their true tile? Or is it a radius marker?
