Joyce Livestock videos from the 1950's

Video from 1950's ranching operations at Joyce Livestock in Owyhee County, Idaho including branding, wildhorse round-up, haying and more. Narrated by Maggie O'Malley Long, Gene Lewis and Dick Jayo. Gene and Dick worked on the ranch and are featured in much of the footage.
The original footage was filmed by Helen Nettleton, wife of Hugh Nettleton. Hugh's grandparents, Matt and Mary Joyce started Joyce Livestock in 1865. The ranch is still operation as the oldest Idaho ranch managed by the same family.
