The two most common scapegoats for losses are psychology and risk management.
But more often it’s lack of edge.

Despite what the comments pointing out as her personal attributes. This lecture is rather enlightening. I spent good amount of time making sure I had winning strategy first. Risk management comes second.

Her book is great. Listened to it on Audible a dozen times over those long Shanghai subway commutes. While I do not think she is covering a topic which is new to our understanding. Her presentation is the book is solid, well-founded with case studies and anecdotes from her life.

Does she cover how she stole millions from players on Ultimate Bet by superusing? Just search "ultimate bet" on youtube and you will see what kind of person Annie really is.

She says "No bank has ever said 'We had a losing strategy' instead they say 'our risk management department has to get better". That's the same thing. It's just worded more positively. If you say "our risk management departement has to get better" you are, in fact, stating they were employing a losing strategy or, at least a sub optimal strategy.

I liked it very much, Thanks Annie. I would disagree with the concept of "self made man". Every individual is the result of the luck they have which has determined their initial context, the help they got when raised and the own ability to develop successful skills. Self Made man is simply an overly selfish-shortsighted vision of reality...

While much of what she shared with us appears to have merit.... Jessica Connor ... the source for the Your Youniverse channel can take you much much deeper into the world of science backed reality and how it is created.... When people are solidly stuck in the illusion that perception defines reality you miss a whole bunch of other forces that are only evident when your awareness is expanded. Research quatum physics and the double slit experiment and you will discover a few key facts regarding this particular reality we experience.
