its more the customer base / cost , i owned a phone repair store when i was younger in australia , once the part prices became alot more expensive it was hard to find customers that would pay decent prices
I wonder how you get people to send you their devices and then send it back I’ve always wanted to send you my iPad that I’ve had for a while and I’ve been having a problem with something called screen curtain and I have a disability and I use something called voice to help me navigate the device from time to time And I’ve always wondered why do I sometimes have to turn the power button on and the home button on at the same time like I get a press and hold them at the exact same time just to get the device to give me the screen so I can see anything that’s on it I’ve always wondered what’s going on you know whenever I use the voice feature with my phone here I never get that same issue like my iPad. I’ve always wanted to send it to you and see if you could figure it out. How do you fix peoples devices like that like that, I’m just curious 1:32
He's limiting the current so, if all goes according to plan, he heats up the offending short component but doesn't burn out any copper leading to the short. Then you find the hot component with a thermal camera, waiting for alcohol to evaporate faster in one spot, or even a sensitive body part. It's actually "current injection" not "voltage injection" but that's just nomenclature.
I have a question I have an iPhone 12 that’s saying an update is required to activate your iPhone and doesn’t activate tired iTunes but keeps saying can’t connect it timed out is this fix able
The capacitors that fail in that manner are called "power supply bypass caps" or simply "bypass caps" for short. That's not a name for the type of capacitor, it's the name of the function of the capacitor in question. On a quality product, bypass caps are usually somewhat redundant, and in many cases, very redundant. You can frequently lose one or more even and still operate - similar to losing one lug nut off the wheel of your car - there are still the remaining lug nuts holding the wheel on. But there are plenty of instances where removal of a single bypass cap will cause odd behavior or intermittent operation. And there are many many non-bypass applications of the exact same component (a ceramic capacitor) where removal or loss of the component will cause immediate and total malfunction every time. Bottom line is that if you willy-nilly remove bypass caps, you're asking for trouble, but won't always find it.
I have faces a hard brick because mistake while flashing a ROM The phone is realme c3 mediateck Shall I open the phone up to unbrick it or can I unbrick it from pc only Edit: is there any hope u fix my phone remotely?
In my recent experience in 2024, those things will cost you far more than its worth I'm sorry to say, I'm in a similar situation with my S9 I just can't accept it's gone, such a great phone, but literally everywhere Ive tried won't bother with it unless I pay them several hundred dollars $300+ which is twice it's current day value. I've even considered doing a repair technicians course and learning how to fix it myself thats how much I love my S9.
I got a iPhone 14 that I have baby photos in them and no where else, can we maybe get in contact? Everyone rejects me telling me to buy a new phone. I just want the pictures

its more the customer base / cost , i owned a phone repair store when i was younger in australia , once the part prices became alot more expensive it was hard to find customers that would pay decent prices
Yo that microscope looks so good😮💨😮💨😮💨
👍 you should think about fixing gpus and other components
But if the cap is bad how can you find out the capacitance of the replacement cap ? Never seen a cell phone schematic to be honest
You don’t have to replace the cap
Yes that's true@@nomecognome2
No capacitor , no shorted capacitor *SORIN* 😉

You're waiting for shorts to allowed at 2 minutes long?

@@wormdamage I think I was referring to the maximum length of RUclips shorts.
@@lightdark00 LOL, I thought you meant how long letting that cap heat up (it's basically a short circuit). Cheers!
