Facing the fears of taking the bus or driving, of going outside far away despite the anxiety is good, in order to be free and independant. Not facing the fears of death by doing something wrong that would not bring anything right, but ruin your entire life and lock you up forever. Nobody should let the harrassers and the oppressors win. If you encourage someone to destroy themselves, then you're complicit of murder and of non-assistance to a person in danger. Which is not the same thing.
I absolutely agree ! We need to encourage people to do good for themselves first and others second. As Jordan Peterson would say (go find him) there is far too much lack of even a small word of encouragement in the world.
