    Very cute ! If you left them all in the trays, you could put the backs on easier all at once while they are held in place. You could even use a fast drying resin for the last step for easier setting of the resin to hold on the backs. Love your earrings !

      Steve Macdonald suggested that when he does the stud earrings he wait to a point that he can push them into the resin barely so it comes over the edge to hold it on. But if he waits too long he'll use some UV resin over the edges.

    I think if you did put the post on the earrings before you take him out of the molds and then put them under the UV light when that make it so that they sit up straighter???

    • @leehomestead3424
      @leehomestead3424  Год назад +1

      You can do that, but I like to do it this way. It makes it way less likely that I will put too much resin in the mold and have to sand them. I can control it better this way. But, yes you can do it that way.

    • @leehomestead3424

      The resin is already in the molds so the flowers can sit on top of it if it has to. There will be more resin pored on top of it.

    • @leehomestead3424
      @leehomestead3424  10 месяцев назад +1

      You can use it, but when I color my resin I prefer to use the resin that sets overnight. I normally will only use clear uv resin with no mica powder in it so that I know the uv light is curing all the way through. That’s just my personal preference though.

    I bought this mould after watching this video. I regretted buying it, the pieces are tiny and I hate working with the mould so now I use it for leftover resin so I can have my own chunky glass pieces

    • @leehomestead3424

      The mold is tiny because it makes little stud earrings. They are the perfect size for studs. Using a dropper to fill in the mold makes it easier.

I find it's hard however to get into shows as no one wants to many jewelers. I only do earings and I try even explaining that. I have a LG range of prices. Depend on what the medium is.
