I agree with your theory about the giants and serpent scorching the minor erdtrees. It’s amazing how to discover lore-related secrets that other lore content creators miss. I am so glad I discovered your channel: keep up the great work!
Great video. I love hearing new ideas from fresh eyes in the lore community. I can’t wait to see more of your content. I’ll let Kitetales know you shouted her out. Have a lovely day!
I believe the divider is literally Marika. It’s the back of her head with down cast arms. It even looks like her two braids coming out. That would follow the lore that the runes were broken from inside her/from her. I really love how you talked about the runes! I never realized. So cool!
Great video, elden ring takes a lot from real world religion, and norse being a prominent one. The serpent and fire giants definitely want the erdtree destroyed. As the serpents represent nidhoggr the corpse eating serpent dragon that gnawed on the roots of yggdrasil. And surtr the fire giant the burned the 9 realms during ragnarok. This is getting long but i do feel marika was driven by depression and obsession. Doing what she could to create a utopia where she didnt have to lose ones she loved anymore. Which eventually collapsed after ranni killed godwyn and finally broke merika leading to the shattering
You're correct about Elden Ring drawing from real-world religion and Norse mythology to build its story. In fact, I'd even argue that there's a hint of real-world politics in the game's lore.
