I didn't find m.2 slot on my x507 ua. With ssd, my asus' battery gets more generous. I find upto 6 hrs of back on moderate use. I recommend ssd upgrade no matter what and the product is ample for those who use it for less graphic oriented work.
Can anybody confirm me that I can add another extra RAM and a SSD with my existing harddisk with this laptop? I am very disappointed that core i5 7th generation laptop has only 8GB RAM capacity. This is a worst product. I thought there should one extra slot that capacity is maximum 8GB. But after buying this laptop I understand that there is not any extra slot. Even there is not DVD drive also.. So, for whome ASUS made this laptop ? For developer?For Business ? or for whome.. Please any body confirm me how I make faster this laptop.
The asus x507 is configured to have a singular Ram Dimm slot, thus it cannot extend your ram capacity for more than 8gb. Regarding to your question for whom this computer; for the 8gb ram configuration this is good enough for entry level as developer, light content editing, light gaming, more than good enough for business use, office use and for students. You cannot make your laptop faster just because you add extra ram hence, ram doesn't make someone's computer to be faster but rather capable of holding a larger task. If you want a faster laptop, you should consider the type of processor, dedicated graphics card, optional intel optane technology paired with a hybrid hdd and ssd.
decent gaming experience, not high level. I played all high-end games like pubg, Red dead redemption2, tomb raider, tom clancy ghost recon, assassins creed series, and many more..all mostly above 100 GB. u could play in low graphics since it has only intel 620 uhd graphics i added extra ram and made it to 12gb so quite good for me

I just bought this 4 days ago. In my opinion it is a good laptop for using MS office applications and internet browsing. I am also planning to use this for my business (inventory, bookkeeping, etc). Lightweight, affordable and it serves its purpose.
