The dogs in this vid have some hilarious appearances when called out on their destruction.
When dogs destroy furniture, it's a massive warning marker of stress, due to being left alone for prolonged periods of time.

So many people who do not know how to handle and care for dogs in the video. All of those dogs making a mess are likely frustrated from being left inside and alone for too long. Poor things.

Seriously though, don’t force your dogs to stay at home alone for too long, they are intelligent and social creatures who need stuff to do and need company from other dogs and people.
You're right but this kind of behavior could also be caused by a lack of exercise which is very common. Especially for a very high energy breed like a boxer.
@@marvech9830 Or it could be something almost every puppy big enough to do it, does. Sometimes it really is just the human's "fault" for leaving a thin-skinned cushion full of polyethelen stuffing where the dog can get it. I've had a labrador pup tear apart an entire 12-pack of toilet paper because 1) I bought the paper-wrapped kind and 2) I left the pack in the hallway for FIVE MINUTES to make a sandwich and by the time I thought "hang on where's the dog?" and noticed a sort of rustling, ripping sound... it was all over. (On the plus side it was proof we were right to "puppy proof" everything else in the house - electrical wires, poisons on bottom shelves even with cabinet doors, completely block access to the laundry etc... and a reminder to never put any shopping on the floor while she was teething! She lived 13 years BTW.)
Now, 6:45, THAT'S some problematic home-alone destruction right there...

If a dog is left for extended periods of time with nothing to do, they will find something to do.
Layla found something to do.
When people get a dog, they should first consider whether they will give the dog a happy and fulfilled life.
They can't treat the dog as a part-time pet.
They should also pick a breed which is in tune with their lifestyle.
A boxer is an active intelligent breed.
It needs exercise and mental stimulation.
If a dog of that breed is locked in for extended periods of time with no company, it will become destructive out of frustration and boredom.
Lack of discipline is not the problem.
Lack of exercise and mental stimulation is the problem.
Which is a mistake of the owner, not the dog.
I don't believe for one second that boxer made that mess. I believe it was set up.

To all those dog owners who leave their dogs home alone all day and come back to mess.. you get everything you deserve. 😉
Dogs should be able to be home alone for 12 hours. I have a hound and a pitt, who are both very capable of destroying stuff, and neither of them have done that since they were puppies. We've left them alone for about that long and have come home to a clean house and wiggley happy puppies. As long as you train them correctly, they'll be alright.
Plus, a lot of the dogs in this video looked pretty young.

They’re not dog fails they are owner/handler fails. It’s amazing how many people should not have dogs. Complete lack of training, essentially feral animals being kept in a home, at the end of a leash or allowed to roam freely. Treating dogs like humans and asking them what they’ve done. Dogs have no memory of what they’ve done beyond a second or two. You have to correct behavior within 1-1.5 seconds for it to be meaningful for a dog. Dogs can be amazing companions when properly trained, but too few owners are willing to educate themselves and put in the time training their dog. They’re not little humans or fur babies. They are dogs and need to be trained and treated as such.

Only take them to the vet when they need it, not when the vet says to. All the additional vaccines are useless. They don’t need checkups. And instead of expensive heartworm tablets, one bottle of (1% ivermectin) will last years. Just make sure it’s the ONE PERCENT. Get a 3cc syringe and every hashmark is good for ten pounds. For example, if your dog weighs 50lbs, you would fill the 3cc syringe to 0.5, remove the needle, and squirt it into their mouth. It’s the same stuff that’s in heartworm tablets. A bottle costs about $15-20 and can last a couple years before expiring.
