Wow I'm in NYC now even though i grew up in Long Island , and this has been there all along . Well I'll have to go see them up close because I've always loved the work in books. A permanent collection right outside the city , very nice. 👍
What a great video of Maxfield Parrish 's work. Very inspiring. Love the Edison Mazda works and his fairy tale art pieces especially. I learned about Parrish and his glazing and stippling techniques while in college in 1975. My favorite Parrish work is entitled 'Land of Make Believe' and sadly wasn't included in the video. Oh well. Maybe next time eh?
I am so drawn to this artist's work! I was working in a private university years ago and found some of these pictures in a magazine someone had tossed in the trash! I rescued these pictures and actually have one in a frame on my wall in my kitchen! My Grandma also had one which looked like heaven with the flowers... Reminded me of the scenery in The Sound Of Music in Austria! Divine and simply breath taking!🎭🤔❤️🎨🖌️🖼️🥇👍‼️
His ability to work with light....i had the opening pic in my bedroom it uplifted me upon retiring for each evening and upon awakening. You shall never regret the investment you make in an art piece you enjoy.
I was introduced to Parrish through Enya. Her 1995 album ‘The Memory of Trees’ was totally inspired by him, including all the music videos and she totally recreated his “King of the Black Isles” for her album cover

Awww so found new love! So planning my trip there now! Beautiful
I wish this would have come to Toronto!
Imagine when magazines paid for a unique Parrish work for each monthly issue. I hate to sound like an old fogie, but …
