In Sweden, we call anything with a cargo bed, 'lastbil', which literally translates to cargo car. Then we just add light or heavy in front of it depending on if it's under or over 3.5 metric tons. An American style pickup truck would just be called a pickup here, and the word 'truck', although with a slightly different pronunciation is actually what we use for forklifts. Sometimes we say fork truck.
You passed the initiation rite to German chocolate! Ritter really put a lot of effort in the design of their packaging (and even more in the marketing). Toblerone moved their production to Slovakia by the end of 2023 which is why the mountain on the packaging is not the Matterhorn anymore (the iconic mountain of Switzerland) but a modified imitation of it.
How sad☹ is Toblerone no longer considered Swiss chocolate or? I don't know why manufacturers do this. Lada has such a fascinating history behind. How it started from a reluctant company in the soviet european satellite states to eventually become the state car manufacturer for the whole ussr. They made the lada Niva, one of the best if not the best mountain cars in europe back then.
Talking about Lorries.... One of the best tongue breaker: say several times: _red lorry, yellow lorry, red lorry, yellow lorry...._ I always end up sounding like a person from India... 😂

But I experienced one driving through the solid wooden pillar supporting an Electricity pole, and only with some scratches on the roof, where the end hit it, coming down again!

14:05 Those tiny cars are from a brand called "herpa", and are made for model train sets on HO scale (1/87). Model trains are often taken very seriously in europe, so these tiny car models are incredibly detailed and usually quite well made to scale. You have people creating entire landscapes, and buying and building entire towns made to scale to decorate their landscape train set. These cars are made to be placed as very detailed decorations. I used to love these small model cars as a kid, exactly because they were so detailed, well made and realistic. And i loved them even more than matchbox or micro machines because of this.
The Volvo on the mug is the legendary 850 T-5R. A 2.3 litre turbo charged inline 5 cylinder engine. 237hp (221 ft/lbs torque), top speed 155 (with factory limiter) and a 0 to 60 of around 6 seconds. For something shaped like a wardrobe it was a really quick car. The toy truck you didn’t know is a LADA Niva fire support vehicle. It’s based on there small 4WD of the same name. The company is Russian but some were sold in the US under the Chevy brand.

Fun fact: only the Toblerone packages with the "Matterhorn" mountain on the packaging are ORIGINALLY made in Switzerland this company also had to make savings and now has this chocolate made somewhere else (in Europe) but has to do without the brand logo and “With original Swiss chocolate” is no longer advertised on the packaging (for legal reasons)
@@agp11001 Yeah it's not bad, not at all, it's just not great when you compare it to other Swiss brands or more "premium" products in general. But that's just my opinion of course :P
The Ford factory in Dagenham, UK, used to have its own medical service and fire brigade. Most likely because they smelted their own steel and a lot could go wrong very quickly.
The Citroen 2CV was a nice small car students could afford back in the days. It was known in France as the "deux chevaux", "two horses", meaning two horsepowers, and in Germany as "die Ente", "the duck", which was short for "die lahme Ente", "the lame duck". I drove one when I was 14 or 15 on private property (well, mostly) because the legal age for a drivers' license in Germany has always been 18. Sure, modern cars have their advantages, yet I love going to vintage car shows because I like cars that are purely mechanical, and easy to understand and to repair.
In my office when you put a jar of chocolates on the table it lasts not even a day. But when I brought a jar of Hershey's from my last trip to the US it wasn't emptied for weeks! 😂😂

Lovely Piece! There is so much goodwill everywhere! Remember that when you are forced to listen to hate! & endure selfish people! If you want to collect more models try not to mark the "boxes" as this devalues them greatly! ☹
Fun fact Mondelez (the producer of Toblerone) is moving part of the production to Bratislava, Slovakia and thus they will have to get rid of the mountain Matterhorn which is on the packaging. As Matterhorn is considered a Swiss symbol, such symbol cannot be displayed on a product which is not produced (at least 80% of it) in Switzerland.
39:30 These Citroen cars were something special - they were very low. When you started it, it went up, but after you parked it and turned it off, it went down. Because of this lifting and lowering, and headlights that look like eyes, we called it "frog". 🐸 49:36 SPT Toliatti was a company in the Russian Federation that dealt with transportation, etc., and it no longer exists.
Lada was created for Russia by FIAT based on some of their models they done the same in Spain & the old Yugoslavia & the former Eastern Germany & Poland & Checkaslovakia all utalizing the same Fiat design

A 4WD Lada Niva fire truck.
Crazy.
what a great family! Greetings from Pilsen, Czechia!
Holy smoke that's a lot of stuff they sent you there pal !
I think you derserve it , love your videos you tell it how it is and are honest in your reviews .
Keep up your awesome honest reviews .
Have a good one man !
PS ,your kids are adorable and your wife sounds like a keeper there.
Great stuff man!
Don't through the dinky toys boxes and packing away! These are collector items with a very good value!!!
Fun fact: only the Toblerone packages with the "Matterhorn" mountain on the packaging are ORIGINALLY made in Switzerland
this company also had to make savings and now has this chocolate made somewhere else (in Europe)
but has to do without the brand logo and “With original Swiss chocolate” is no longer advertised on the packaging (for legal reasons)
Other fun fact: these are considered pretty mediocre in Switzerland and I don't know anybody here who goes out of their way to actually buy these haha
@@bastiwen Yeah, it's one of those typical touristy things.
That being said, I love the taste, too.
@@agp11001 Yeah it's not bad, not at all, it's just not great when you compare it to other Swiss brands or more "premium" products in general. But that's just my opinion of course :P
@@bastiwen Having family in Switzerland, I kinda got overfed on Swiss chocolate in my early years, to be honest XD
@@agp11001 Haha, that's understandable
The Ford factory in Dagenham, UK, used to have its own medical service and fire brigade. Most likely because they smelted their own steel and a lot could go wrong very quickly.
Ford normally put in a Cosworth engine in to race, or to sell to public as top of the range
For Qashqai - think Rogue. Because of delivery costs, models of Qashqai/Rogue have ceased on the shores of North America.
It also looks kind of like a duck head, with the round cabin and the long front as the bill.
Hershey's it's not even real chocolate, they should call it chocolate product 😆
Agreed 👍
In my office when you put a jar of chocolates on the table it lasts not even a day. But when I brought a jar of Hershey's from my last trip to the US it wasn't emptied for weeks! 😂😂
Every time, I drive my Skoda Enyak, I think of you. Driving a Skoda is seen as very conservative and boring in Europe, but your videos make me feel cool. 😎
So many awesome gifts :) Love it!
And your children are just the sweetest!
The cars from the DTM and the BTCC series are sooooooo beautiful. The racing was absolutely epic as well. You will absolutely love watching these races when u finally get round to it
I saw the yellow parcel from the far and immediately knew it's Deutsche Post 🇩🇪 Paketbox...🤓🤣🤣
49:41 - That's a Russian Lada Niva fire 4x4
Lada Niva VIS-294611 (VAZ-2121) Fire Engine by DeAgostini.
I just googled the reference in the box and it came out.
Black letters on the side "call 01"
Тольятти (Tolyatti) is actually the town, where the VAZ is established in 1966.
Your happiness is so refreshing, I am actually happy for you 😅
It was like Xmas, easter and birthday in one...🤣🤣 Just ❤ the surprised happyness..👍🤘🇩🇪
Some people might not know that the reason for Hersheys and other US chocolate tasting funny is the enzymes used to preserve the milk.
not gonna lie but you probably have the most supportive wife on this planet :D wish you guys all the best (from germany)
Aweeeee 😊 ❤ thank you 😊
39:30 These Citroen cars were something special - they were very low. When you started it, it went up, but after you parked it and turned it off, it went down. Because of this lifting and lowering, and headlights that look like eyes, we called it "frog". 🐸
49:36 SPT Toliatti was a company in the Russian Federation that dealt with transportation, etc., and it no longer exists.
Volvo and Scania has there own firetrucks also ssab and some pappermils in Sweden.
Lada was created for Russia by FIAT based on some of their models they done the same in Spain & the old Yugoslavia & the former Eastern Germany & Poland & Checkaslovakia all utalizing the same Fiat design
We have double decker buses all over the uk
That orange Citroen they call "eend" in the Netherlands, a Duck. My mom used to drive one when I was younger. And Dinky Toys, that brings back memories.
Awesome, i work in the same factory as Micheal and I am a volunteer firefighter in the town of Sindelfingen. Greetings from Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen.
I believe they still have it on Wheeler and Dealers in Australia or on youtube😊
Awesome video👍 Best whishes to you and your family.
The SL300 is one of the most beautiful cars MB has ever built. The Audi TT is on a scale of 1:87.🤏
