- Me and my little cousin Heleen swimming in the Boerhaavebad pool in the Netherlands.
The music is "Underwater" by Danny Elfman and "Aqua" by Kitaro.
I made her a tail about a month back and she agreed to do a video of us together. It was especially tricky since she had never swam underwater with her eyes open, so I was very surprised at how well she adjusted. Born to be a mermaid...

How fascinating. Maybe you should start making a documentary on mermaids and show every single person pretending to be a mermaid is swimming wrong, even though our anatomical body structure doesn't allow us to make other movements for swimming fast and still make it look as though we're a mermaid. But then again you wouldn't know because you're a mermaid and not a human, right? (Don't answer.)

Hello, i was wondering how you keep the tail fin from curling in while you're swimming? Do you have some sort of plastic thingy to keep the right form while still being flexible oooooorrrrrr something else?
Hi Emily, we're wearing monofins inside our tails. It's like a big flipper that both of your feet go into. That way you can get propulsion while the tail keeps its fin-shape.
